  1. There is a problem with communicating to the player that your choices have some variety than what NPC communicate to you. Having NPCs do it for you seem a bit ham-handed and if you don't "teach" the player to do it by having more than one quest resolution set up in this manner, it might go over their heads. VtM:B is why I prefer playing characters than playing alignments, throughout all possible clan options you were still someone with a sense of humor who fell into a world they knew nothing about. Morality in that game comes with its own penalty based on the Humanity path, and yet it doesn't seem dissonant to move from one end the moral spectrum to the other. You're always playing someone that it is struggling with his newly found condition and whose moral default is grey.
  2. ME is a game with a fixed character that eventually fell into the trapping of its own system by having to resolve every situation through a binary choice. Generally speaking I haven't found games that do moral system well, the consequences never reflect the player choice and end up diluting the main storyline. I much prefer games like ME where you're playing a character that has a small variation of choice but with depth rather than a bland character with plenty of choices. Plus I do hate it when games enforce their interpretations on you rather than giving you free choice, Chaotic Stupid can still be roleplayed in a tabletop setting for as long as the DM will put up with it. Games tend to be less forgiving of it, so there really is no point to having a choice that will end in a reload.
  3. True to its spiritual predecessor, DL has a ****e late half but a marvelous first.
  4. And it shows confidence in the product, otherwise you people might think you're trying too hard.
  5. When you zoom in you can see the contrast in the pixels and tell which portions were modified.
  6. If only, I could see you liking, Chavez or Morales.. maybe even Nasser or Porifio as "charming rebels", hell even Castro.. but Putin is pure unadulterated power hungry.. and worse, at the expense of his people. - Also did basically nothing but play video games today, still slowly recuperating. Nah, Chavez was a known idiot. Putin is a strong leader that stands against the Western SuperPower and for tradition in an age where political correctness and anti whiteness would see it destroyed. Really; the man has a great angle, if Russia wasn't such a ****hole he would be even more popular. I'm currently balancing my desire for a cute Russian waifu with my aversion to going back to the communist Third World. She would have to very impressive.
  7. He is telling some funny anecdote of him and his brother going to the beach and all kind of antics happening. Of course, most of it is him laughing and babbling incomprehensibly.
  8. Neither is Europe truth be told, unless they colonialist are PoC.
  9. Hey!...That's my waifu you're ****ing with.
  10. Any thoughts on the name? Yes, when I first tried to think of a name ''Jackie'' immediately popped into my head. I like it a lot. Post pics when you can and don't let her see you get excited, she'll have eating out of her paw otherwise.
  11. Yes, despite his SJW leanings he would be a better candidate....ah, it's missing a colon. NVM
  12. Any thoughts on the name?
  13. If you shoot somebody with the intention of killing you're killer, even if said person is attacking you. In a self defense scenario you shoot till the threat is incapable of continuing the assault. Incapacitation is the goal, not ending someones life. What a rational well thought out post, you should release a wild carnivore in your room and make another one. It really behooves me that people seem unable to practice the most basic form of empathy; or if you lean the other way, of rationale. People in high stress situation don't make the best choices and don't think things through. Heck, people have difficulty keeping their manners when faced with some belligerence.
  14. In a nutshell, the university had a video game club, and a sort of festival for clubs to introduce and solicit themselves to the community. This guy ran the video game club and had a stand or whatever set up like everyone else, this girl with bright red hair approached him and asked him a bunch of questions about feminism in gaming and about GamerGate. When the Gamergate question came, he said he was pro GG, she said she was anti, and left shortly after. Later, when he wasn't in the club room or whatever, she apparently returned and maced one of the club members, and the mace got in the air filter and had made the room a tad polluted. On one hand actions of an individual do not represent a group. On the other, it's very ironic that there's a narrative of GG being violent, and the first recorded incident of violence from either side is on anti-GG. Sounds like it was all staged.
  15. I don't really see it that way, I think it just highlights how retarded these people are. Fun fact: I made sure to use the word retarded in the above statement because then they'll accuse me of being ableist, and the irony will be fan-****ing-tastic. I'm sure you've just internalized ableism or something. So - rather than infer either the use of sarcasm or the intentional use of rhetoric- is the ableist reference intended to highlight the nature of sexism in the gaming industry? Text is always awkward, and as the topic at hand affects dreams, careers and passion, I would rather not assume meaning. The reality - whether gaming, the arts in general, generative or creative avenues of vocation all the way to almost every sector of our western economy gender and sexism certainly stratify and divide. So - it is hopeful - whenever such conversation can occur with respect and civility to help us all see how we are both complicit and part of the solution. Or such is the hope as one who usually sits in the lofty heights in the Roost far above the sandbox known as WoT ... That would be great but does anyone think that the people that call themselves journalists nowadays are capable of having them? and I don't mean just gaming journalism but journalism in general as it has become more "yellowed" in general. I really think we need to demand a higher standard of quality from the people that are to be spokespersons for the industry. I watch a lot of the IQ squared debates, I yet to see someone who isn't of some esteem on the panel. Meanwhile video games have a people that aren't even able to dress properly and give some appearance of professionalism.
  16. So is tapdancing on broken glass. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. And then sold the resulting piece at a fine art exhibit. Don't laugh so much about that until you've travelled on the metro train in Mexico City. You actually have the panhandlers get on the train, put out a small cloth full of broken glass, and basically cut themselves up on it , and they stop and move on when people give them loose change. Thanks for sharing this information, you've made me feel a little better about being a psychopath.
  17. Which line in the ini? I'm really enjoying the game btw, hopefully I won't end up overpowered as most of the fun comes from surviving.
  18. He frames the events in such a manner that coupled with the contagious nature of fun video games draws the audience whom are experiencing the game through him vicariously. Reality TV is popular because people enjoy both the catharsis of watching others whom they can look down on and the curiosity of seeing the lives of other people in a society that has degraded social interactions. Michael Bay is popular because moviegoers want an experience that they couldn't get on their small TVs at home, he makes movies that are like the stories of park rides. Just enough to contextualize the ride.
  19. Could Hollywood please wait until i'm dead or with Alzheimer before they start ruining the franchises I grew up with?
  20. Every time I hear they are remaking Ben Hur I just cringe. You know they are going to screw that up. Nothing is sacred in Hollywood...or legal.
  21. This is really good news as it means that EA and therefore Bioware will continue to be committed to the DA franchise Any development of the fantasy RPG genre I fervently support The all inclusive pansexual fantasy world? Seriously though, good for them.
  22. I like Ridley Scott for his photography and his excellent used of lighting and filters, even without knowing he is the director I can usually tell as it is very distinctive.
  23. snip Joking, I'll edit it so the thousands of 12 year olds that patrol this forum don't learn naughty words they hear everyday on the schoolbus from the mouths of the 14-year-olds. While rebellion might seem appealing to your inflammatory sensibilities, the forums have rules against what they consider objectionable content. If anyone dislikes said ruling there are a lot of different forums on the internet that have no such rules and if they feel so strongly about it they can go there. As to the claim that moralist are childish; it is children and the vulgar that tend to speak with profanity and not just with the occasional word but as part of their everyday vocabulary. If you can't express yourself with cursing that fault lies not with others but within yourself.
  24. Pic should be edited due to obscene language, post link instead.
  25. I still think that you could replace him with a coked up toddler and you still get something good, I mean if you have to polish his ideas to the point that they become someone else's you kind of don't need him. I will remind you of two names: Darth Icky and Darth Insanius (the latter one is probably what people call George behind his back)
