  1. To be fair any support for anti-gg will summon a wave of tweets and emails trying to prove you wrong and put any company you work for under some scrutiny or potentially on a Op against it. So far I haven't seen GG get anyone directly fired but they are also pretty reactionary when it comes to statements.
  2. So you're only active on these forums? It has been said even from the beginning stages of GG that they where a defensive paranoid bunch, it is a mixture of years of frustration at the state of the gaming industry couple with the growth of belligerent feminist elements that has lead to a large portion of GG being belligerent in turn. Since you're our resident SJW (don't stop that BTW we need dissent to have discussions) you might have been bearing a lot of burden coming from a Pro GG majority. Take it easy and summarize. They might also have been filled with nerdrage as your tone made it evident that you didn't care as much about the issue. I think the industry has needed change for years now and it is good to see that people are becoming more aware of it. It could have been on better terms but nothing in life is perfect, I also loathe SJWs (not you, the crazy ones( I keep telling you we need to come up with a better name for them although it might be easier to come up with a new name for you since you seem to be the odd man out)) and have nothing but contempt to what they are doing and have done to nerdom. They have brought their insane politics into everywhere and polarized the community.
  3. Good to know that the situation in it's not so grim, but I still think that massive immigration creates a big problem since there is no possible way to integrate that many people at an accelerated rate and it seems that they are just creating a bubble by depending on new immigrants to keep the economy afloat. Specially since every one has expenditures that in some cases outweigh the gains. Since we have so many Swedes here do they mind answering a few questions? Are feminist extremist a problem in Sweden? Are you still allowed to pee standing up, spread you legs on public transportation, criticize feminism, criticize immigrants......(bunch of other stuff related to SJWs out of control)? Is the reported rise in rapes related to feminism or immigration and have you observed (hopefully without personal damage) the effects of it? I only ask these questions cause the information I've been getting is beginning to paint Sweden as a crazy SJW Utopia gone horribly wrong.
  4. This is a reasonably safe assumption, given that gutlessness is the rule of the day in the West. I read this link and its very worrying But its also 4 years old, I know there have been attempts in parts of the UK to turn areas into some sort of " Sharia law zone " but these attempts have always been criticised and dismissed by UK authorities. So I doubt this article is really accurate ? http://dailycaller.com/2014/11/02/swedish-police-release-extensive-report-detailing-control-of-55-no-go-zones-by-muslim-criminal-gangs/
  5. Now the important question is: Will there be waifus?
  6. Unless I can put a stick on a baby and make a mace out of it on the sequel I don't buy the whole these are bad people bit. Demonicon made a better job of presenting and allowing for evil options than Blackguards and was a good game to play with maces. If it didn't have incestuous romance If it didn't take place in Dark Eye setting I'd rate it lower than Bound by Flame. The latter was a better game on its own. Really? Bound by Flame was a bit of a fizzle for me, it just failed to deliver in the end and the level design was far more linear than Of Orcs and Men and Mars War Logs both games which I enjoyed more. Whereas Demonomicon felt solid enough to give it a pass. On topic, I'm surprised the Codex didn't go crazy over the turn based combat in D:OS. Me thinks that they have gone into the Games Journalism business and become corrupt, I distinctively recall seeing a special thanks to the Codex on that game. Guess that's all it takes to be Codex No. 1 Huh? Most Codexians(that I've seen here) cream their pants at the very mention of turn-based, I would've been surprised f D:OS didn't get #1. I must be out of touch then.
  7. I clearly stated the anti-GG side is also guilty of this...thats why I said this whole debate has just become toxic Great, tell the anti GG that they're being toxic and have them take responsibility for their harassers and hold their figureheads accountable when they mess up. You know damn well how toxic the SJWs where well before this, now they're getting some opposition which of course is going to escalate the situation. But there's an imperative to purge the toxic elements from gaming.
  8. I'm sure that the opposition is far more polite; bring back proof.

  10. A lot of people whined about ShadowRun Returns not being the second coming of Christ, it kind of soured Dragonfall a bit.

  12. Unless we get a ballistics expert we can't confirm, but I agree with you. At that range it wouldn't have enough kinetic force to create a massive cavity and it is likely to go through, but I don't see when it hits concrete. It might just be because of the low resolution of the video, but the conspiracy skeptics have given enough circumstantial evidence to create doubt.
  13. Errm not sure what the question means but I think I can guess. If you're asking about how much do the developers have to code compared to how much they inherit from the game engine that depends upon the game. Sometimes they have to develop entire tools to do the things they want to or to insert features that are lacking on the engine. But the engine developers don't work on games, they might receive feedback from game developers but won't develop tools exclusively for a game unless they are the ones making it. I'll give you a for-instance... CryEngine is currently being reworked by the Star Citizen developers to incorporate double precisions for world space coordinates. That is, of course, no small feature to add. I personally would think that required a lot of library modification to support, since anything that interacts with world space might need a calculation adjustment. My question is, wouldn't that normally be handled by the engine developer and not the game studio? Like I said, everything game related is done by the game studio but it isn't necessarily built from scratch since the engine already has variables in it (be a piss poor engine if it didn't) that the developers can use. It may be that there aren't functions that do what they want or that they don't like how they work, so they develop their own functions that inherit from the engine scripts. Short answer; is the game studio.
  14. So we will get propaganda and misinformation from the Blue Team now ? Well its good to have opposing networks since competition drives the free market; plus let's face it, journalism has no interest in being unbiased. Best we can do is see opposing arguments and come up with our own synthesis, or if you're American: make fun of Fox news.
  15. Why? I like game scores, they save me the time of reading through the whole article.

  17. Everyone in the game industry has a game idea, unless yours its exceptionally good I doubt anyone would develop over theirs. Best that you can do is develop a practical skill like writing or some game theory, and some good connections that you can use to recruit your own team. You should go to Polycount.com on their forums you can create a posting for a non-paid project to develop a prototype to create a Kickstarter. The better the documentation and proof of some connections the better chances you have of attracting good talent as people just aren't going to be interested on a non paid project that isn't likely to see completion. If you do your posting on Polycount PM, I might be interested.
  18. 8chan down, domain name taken away by interwebs due to "child pornography". It then uses the domain name to host child pornography. SJWs are really the cancer of society, they just keep spreading.
  19. Except for all that crap that Paul wrote, he was a very disturbed person.
  20. And if one's biggest worry is boob size on virtual women in video games... Actually it isn't but because they only talk about that one particular issue that's women representation in games while denying that male representation is as bad it eschews the issue. That's all the talk about it seems sometimes, probably because you would actually need some technical knowledge of games and how the industry works or at least the mental capacity of a non autistic human to come up with good criticism that isn't about boobs.
  21. ...Yeah, I'm not sure it's an especially strong argument in favor of how Witcher's done things. Don't get me wrong, I love that game, but... damn. Works with the targets anyway, whores or some really loose women (rather funny in Act 4). Wasn't as much of a chore in DA. But nothing really wrong with that, it is how things can work in real life sort of - gifts raise opinion of you, etc. As for the C&C messages, it is a bit eye-roll inducing but I suppose some players need that. It's not too intrusive and is worth a laugh sometimes - Dreamfall Chapters had that. Better than DA:I where you have to do a pointless miniquest.
  22. Actually I quite like it on the Witcher, you didn't have to buy hundreds of gift and as soon as you gift someone they reward you with sex instead of somewhere along the line after your complete their sidequest.
  23. Nope, as long as Islam remains without an official ruling body that can interpret the word of the Prophet and it can unify the faith there will be people who use the word or interpret in a way that it leads to conflict. Quite frankly the more longer that they wait the more sinister they look. I would point out the example of early Christians who were known to be violent and prone to riots and infighting over Biblical canon until the council of Nicaea. So its been known to work, and it should be done before Islam becomes unified under bellicose (I really wanted to use that word) interpretations.
