I don't see it as a propaganda tool, they just have their corner of the market which they dominate because of their unique product. No one make the games that BW does, these big soap opera style games. It makes sense that since their consumers are looking for that unique product, and that it has some mass appeal that they will stick with their formula. But really, it was the Jews though.

Mods fixed it.

if we can fake a moon landing, surely we can fake executing these two chaps, and all the crew? That's beyond our abilities, best we can do is pretend that we sent them to the moon.

Bruce I don't think you understand, this isn't a group of polite people who argue their discontent with other polite people. It's a bunch of lunatics trying to out-crazy each other and we'll be damned if we let those other crazies get away with stuff. Besides the SJWs should appreciate it, after all moral outrage has always been their preferred weapon.

I had an idea for a sketch where Kim Jong goes over to James Franco to apologize about NK overreaction but thinks Franco is making fun of him by squinting his eyes and gets angry. Don't know how its related to your post but I had to quote someone.

The leaks, if not the underlying hack, have reportedly been traced to the network of a fancy hotel in Bangkok. It's a weird sort of mentality all over the web these days that first suspects some kind of false-flag attack for, well, everything. I suspect it originates from the 'chan universe (where such suspicions are usually quite justified), but it is very rarely justified elsewhere. Bangkok, that's in N.K. right? America to the rescue....some days I wonder if WWIV will be started by the American's complete lack of geographical knowledge.

I'm I the only one that thinks that this moralist frenzy is due to people thinking that games that run opposite their belief systems are fun? You know, just like every moralist turns out to be a big hypocrite?

That's a commendable attitude. Everybody's a feminist who says they are. (Consequently, 90% of feminism is utter rubbish, because people in general are pretty dumb, and the sole criterion (is this the singular of criteria?) of "apply label to yourself" doesn't exactly ensure that the intelligence distribution will be skewed towards the higher echelons in the subpopulation.) But unless you can tell us how exactly she lectured you on privilege, this anecdote remains quite useless. "Gender is a bigger influence on GPA than test scores" was her argument, her method of doing so was lecturing me verbally after I made an off-hand remark that perhaps if she did better on tests her GPA would be higher than 2.63. Considering that the scandals that I've heard about the influence of feminism in education i'm inclined to agree with her. Gender is a bigger influence on GPA; if you are male then teachers have to grade you lower to account for your privilege.

Actually its not, there are many cases of women being involved on various levels historically in military conflicts. But there contribution was and is overlooked by narrators and some historians Sounds interesting, care to provide links? Because for the most part I'm certain that in trained forces women were kept out, irregular armies and special corps might be a different story. They're too busy inventing COBOL to fight, obviously. Well if you believe SJWs, tech is a hostile environment to women.

During Disney's time the Jewish were rising to control the film industry, which now is a fact. One of Disney's workers was Jewish, they had a strained relationship of firings and hiring, the man's comment on Disney's antisemitism was that it was directed at the corporate body of Hollywood not necessarily at Jews in general. We all hate our publishers. Now if you want to talk about the legal shenanigans by which he founded Disney World, which set the precedent for all the corporate monstrosities that we have today I'll agree. But I digress

Will Games Make Sci-Fi Novels Obsolete (or have they already?)
Orogun01 replied to Guard Dog's topic in Way Off-Topic
It is hard to keep people engaged in things that are not action packed, I think that the indies are the ones that have embraced the genre in a way that isn't violent. -

I think that cinematic games are a ridiculous notion, they are as bad as narrative movies except nobody thinks the latter is a good idea. It is not using the medium to its full potential; I'm okay with games that focus on narrative but gameplay should be a feature that enhances that not a problem to be solved. -

So more cinematic bull****, now coming to you via your Occulus...a game by James Cameron sounds nice though. -
I hope you're not seriously comparing a Bioware romance scene to youporn Yes I am. Both are porn, one just happens to be animated and have "emotional stimulation" while the other is a porn database with many different types of porn. If you have a problem with pornographic material that caters to men, certainly a game where a player can have sex(via avatar) with a female character by selecting the heart option and buying her stuff is problematic as well, at least as much as getting health by paying for sex at any rate. Well, Porn is short for Pornography which literary means pictures of prostitutes; so Porn isn't actually porn. Still with the way that BW pimps out their characters to generate hype you have to wonder...

The written word has endured as a medium for centuries, is a bit shortsighted to think that games will shuffle that to the side. I agree that most Sci Fi is trite but when you get the good stuff you realize why it has to be on book form. I don't think Slaughterhouse Five made a good movie and it wouldn't make a good game but it is a terrific book. -
Ah! In that case, we should maybe open a different topic for discussing general publisher unpleasantness? I'm genuinely interested in the experiences you spoke of earlier. In all fairness, though, I felt physically ill watching the gameplay trailer about gunning down unarmed civilians desperately begging for their life, and wouldn't really fault anyone for assuming a game with the slogan "My Genocide Crusade Begins Here" was developed by neo-nazis. I'm not one for censorship (letting the scum of the earth freely speak their minds offers an easier opportunity to keep an eye on them, after all), but I wouldn't really think anything of value would be lost by taking it down. (Then again, why take it down when it can be left to fail on its own merits - or rather, lack thereof?) Is the slippery slope argument, if they are not allowed to speak because it bothers us then will be allowed to speak when it bothers someone?

If it held for a month then it has done it's job.Publishers care most for the early impulse purchases. That's just the thing, their sales didn't went over their projections but don't tell publishers that all the money they have sunk into DRM has been for nothing. They need an excuse for when their stagnated, boring, unimaginative product doesn't sell.
