  1. Its a popularity grabber, student debt is high so he does a gesture to support students. Just not lowering my payments or giving me a government job so that I can pay them.
  2. There is no polite way to ask this, are your wife's students black? Cause that would explain the gangs, drugs and ignorance. Yea.. because only blacks are involved in gangs, do drugs, or are ignorant. Retardo stereotype and Racist much? Yeah, go teach at an inner city school with a black majority. You'll see what i'm talking about, every teacher that I've met through my mother has similar horror stories about working on black schools which range from the comical to the tragic. Luckily the ones that are close to my family have been comical. I didn't take you for one of those people that get offended when one mentions race.
  3. Oh, stop complaining about the monomyth; we have only had one story since the beginning of mankind.
  4. Oh, good. So we can look forward to Anonymous hacking their machines, ruining the evidence chain, and destroying criminal prosecutions, just like they did with other criminals? Vigilante justice ...away! It will sure be a shame once we decide to actually prosecute terrorists.
  5. There is no polite way to ask this, are your wife's students black? Cause that would explain the gangs, drugs and ignorance. As to what my problem with Common Core is: more work for teachers for less education and won't achieve anything since students have no accountability, and if they did have it we could all see how the system is failing and how Common Core isn't the answer. Also, the guy who wrote it believes in white privilege.
  6. Bill Gates actually.
  7. Yay for the protecting students part, boo for the dig on Common Core. I'm not going to say Common Core is revolutionary, but it does move us away from the terrible standardized testing and puts the focus on developing critical thinking skills. Also, anytime you hear a politician talking about Common Core, right or left wing, ignore them because they have no idea what they are talking about. My mom is a teacher, I've seen Common Core and its "dumbsmart"; it has lot of poorly worded questions and caters to the needs of lowest common denominator. I guess that's why the call it Common Core. @Amentep: Thanks for the correction, I will pay it back some day with interest.
  8. How about some better education and not that Common Core bull? Or how about protecting students from predatory loans from colleges, because you know they will rev up the price and offer lower quality now that they have less people going in for lesser amount of time.
  9. I think they are trying to quote Dr. Strangelove.
  10. Cassandra isn't too creative.
  11. Take the test http://dogtime.com/quiz/dog-breed-selector
  12. Telling of what? That people are angry at feminist for infiltrating and subverting online media, they shouldn't be allowed to be angry and criticize.
  13. I prefer anyone else, but I agree Kate would have been a good choice. The only correct choice is Jessica Biel with some prosthetic
  14. @Valsuelm: Might I suggest some reading on the subject: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/elinadav-heymann/sudden-rise-of-far-right-_b_5512961.html When I say that the far right is rising I mean that the far right is rising; is not leftist propaganda that for every moderate that wants to close immigration there is bound to be one that is motivated by racism and hatred. The longer this issue is drawn out the more problems it will cause and the more people will drawn to far right groups that promise decisive actions. @Meshugger: Whoever wrote that article is an ****; blaming the journal for a ****ed up religion's honor killings. If the best opposing view they come up is that we should stop because those crazies will keep attacking us, your'e giving enough justification for all out war against Muslim terrorists groups.
  15. Yes but I feel that BW has turned into a bad direction, open world doesn't go well with in depth storytelling.
  16. So why is it that the opponents of mass immigration are the radicals and not those who are for such things? The rise in crime due to immigration plus a bad economic situation and terrorist attacks both in Europe as well as from extremists that migrate from Europe has drawn more support to far right groups across Europe. Mind you these are their national equivalents of the KKK or Neo Nazis, they aren't reformist and aren't very likely to begin mass deportations of immigrants if they get their chance. Even if they have good point extremism ins't the way to go, but in the face of unfaltering opposition the only possible response is violence.
  17. Go easy on them, humor is a coping mechanism and nowadays these attacks are far too common. A little humor might be appropriate if only for the cartoonist's sake. On another note and since we have already breached the political I expect this event to become the platform for immigration reformation debate. Western Europe has a problem with immigration and with some groups that want it to happen en masse, while opponents become more radical thanks to events like this.
  18. Considering that every time that a shooting spree happens the left intermediately bring the anti-gun arguments is only fair that the right gets to promote guns when terror acts occur. Both stances are equally reprehensible though. BTW, Hassat guns didn't help because they didn't have them.
  19. I'm getting the feeling that nowadays we just buy BW games just to keep the trainwreck going, since most of what we do is complain about them for the rest of the year. But hey, there's that new IP coming up and if they say that it has no romances i'm buying it.
  20. I would add that there is no real progression between becoming the Herald of Andraste and the Inquisitor. No added gameplay features, the story up to that point, the game and every character within it already treats you as the de facto ruler. So you go from ruling the Inquisition to the game catching up the fact that you rule Inquisition ever since the first hour of the game. It is a massive bit of ludonarrative dissonance that overshadows a series of other minor gaps between the game and its story. Every BW game is a bit of a roller coaster for me, where there are high points and low points. Throughout most of their games they have been able to identify their strengths and focus on those, DA:I has those weaknesses spread out over what are hours of mediocrity and the virtues are only enough to coast your attention. It is like getting a corpse to act on a play by attaching electrodes to it, a deadpan performance with the occasional jolt that keeps attention; sadly, the play is 100+ hours long.
  21. I'm sure the Mossad was behind it. Not sure if serious...But considering that in France since the Gaza news broke out, public opinion of Israel has dropped down. Still, I will ask you for what makes you say that, has there been some proposal or bill or the rise in Right Wing parties that did something recently related to Israel?
  22. Is it weir that I think that girl looks like Vivian.
  23. There is everything wrong with the romances as they are for the most part cringy. Also, BW shouldn't be involved in open world games and they shouldn't in fact let you choose your own team. Those are missed opportunities for some character development, so DA:I; jack of all trades master of none, recycled assets from Origin and as usual the best girl doesn't have romance scene. (It's Harding if you're wondering) Doesn't seem like you understand the purpose of Romance in RPG Orog? They are there to add greater immersive interaction with party members and make the whole RPG journey more memorable...don't be a hater Well, trauma is certainly memorable. Really though, an open world game wasn't going to have as much character depth as a linear game. Plus the romance where a complete 180 from what some characters were portrayed as and it was done without any development. So you go from stern moral paragon woman to blubbering romance novel fangirl without any padding in between, and that was the best romance IMO. Rest were ****e.
  24. Speaking of which, I found out that story about Washington and the cherry tree was a lie. He probably blamed it on a slave or something.
  25. 5 bucks says they'll apologize to the Muslims.
