Well then maybe you can get your wish and pillars of eternity can be loaded with completely linear dialogue options that constantly remind you that your choices mean something and you can click PPPP over and over when picking locks. Because, that's what the stuff I am talking about is, if it were replicated in an RPG setting. People tend to look at a mechanic and say that its bad just because it was poorly used. They will rail against said mechanic without any thought to how it could be applied better and worse they might ignore games that successfully use it just because it is present. I very much liked Shenmue but if I tell someone that it is the game that defined QTE they might become biased against it. Its art therefore rules can be broken as long as the final result is pleasant or aesthetic, rambling against mechanics seems pointless since I can't possibly think of bad mechanics just mechanics that are badly used.

Boko Haram and the kidnpping of the school girls

I might have come up with a theory as to why there are so few great civilizations on such a rich continent; it is precisely because its so rich. When there is scarcity it forces humans to compete with one another for resources, on places where goods are in just one place it forces people to group along those locations. As groups are formed others of smaller size are assimilated or eliminated, while the most capable is sure to triumph on a state of nature. Eventually as groups grow there need to be rules to facilitate order, people specialize and proto society is born which eventually grows into an Empire which couldn't happen on a wealthy continent since smaller groups rather than fight for resources could easily find them elsewhere. Not related the thread in any way but I don't have many people to talk to and ancient African Empires doesn't come up in conversations that much. It did about a year and half ago but it hasn't since. -

I really don't like this post I'm trying to come to grips with what its exactly that I don't like about it. It may be the holier than thou tone of taking the moral high ground (correctly, I may add) on the discussion while committing the hypocrisy of failing at its own standard. I don't know who you are in RL Wals, I don't know if you actually are doing something to end global terrorism but even if you did that wouldn't a reason to shame others for their choice. I don't like to push onto others things that I wouldn't carry myself and so I tend to look upon that kind of behavior badly. I'll chalk this up to a bad temper due to a horrible situation, but I don't think shaming people in forums makes you a bloody hero either. Sorry if I offend. -
Journalism and sexism in the games industry

I've seen some journalist claim that as one of the reason why the tend to err on the side of the developer. It really is a dumb thing to base bonuses on rather than unit sold or working at an accelerated schedule. -

You should do it to his far more richer girlfriend.

That's kinda and untrue at the same time. Black majority areas are more likely to have more problem students. There is a reason for that though; not to sound like a broken record, but this thanks to the damn drug war. The drug war targets blacks the most, and thus screws up their communities the most. This is a big part of why the socio-economic situation for many blacks isn't so good. Ending the drug war would do far more good for education than free community college; especially for poor black communities. Actually I always chalk it up to Black Culture, Rap and all that other gang related stuff. I really wish liberals would stopped their collective gasps at everything just so that the problem of black crime can be analyze. It just seems inconceivable to me that a minority group manages to commit so many crimes and have such high rate of recidivism plus some members seem to have such a resistance towards education when they have all to gain from it.

Its a popularity grabber, student debt is high so he does a gesture to support students. Just not lowering my payments or giving me a government job so that I can pay them.

There is no polite way to ask this, are your wife's students black? Cause that would explain the gangs, drugs and ignorance. Yea.. because only blacks are involved in gangs, do drugs, or are ignorant. Retardo stereotype and Racist much? Yeah, go teach at an inner city school with a black majority. You'll see what i'm talking about, every teacher that I've met through my mother has similar horror stories about working on black schools which range from the comical to the tragic. Luckily the ones that are close to my family have been comical. I didn't take you for one of those people that get offended when one mentions race.

Oh, stop complaining about the monomyth; we have only had one story since the beginning of mankind.

Oh, good. So we can look forward to Anonymous hacking their machines, ruining the evidence chain, and destroying criminal prosecutions, just like they did with other criminals? Vigilante justice ...away! It will sure be a shame once we decide to actually prosecute terrorists. -
There is no polite way to ask this, are your wife's students black? Cause that would explain the gangs, drugs and ignorance. As to what my problem with Common Core is: more work for teachers for less education and won't achieve anything since students have no accountability, and if they did have it we could all see how the system is failing and how Common Core isn't the answer. Also, the guy who wrote it believes in white privilege.
-
Bill Gates actually.
-
Yay for the protecting students part, boo for the dig on Common Core. I'm not going to say Common Core is revolutionary, but it does move us away from the terrible standardized testing and puts the focus on developing critical thinking skills. Also, anytime you hear a politician talking about Common Core, right or left wing, ignore them because they have no idea what they are talking about. My mom is a teacher, I've seen Common Core and its "dumbsmart"; it has lot of poorly worded questions and caters to the needs of lowest common denominator. I guess that's why the call it Common Core. @Amentep: Thanks for the correction, I will pay it back some day with interest.
-
How about some better education and not that Common Core bull? Or how about protecting students from predatory loans from colleges, because you know they will rev up the price and offer lower quality now that they have less people going in for lesser amount of time.

Telling of what? That people are angry at feminist for infiltrating and subverting online media, they shouldn't be allowed to be angry and criticize. -
I prefer anyone else, but I agree Kate would have been a good choice. The only correct choice is Jessica Biel with some prosthetic

@Valsuelm: Might I suggest some reading on the subject: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/elinadav-heymann/sudden-rise-of-far-right-_b_5512961.html When I say that the far right is rising I mean that the far right is rising; is not leftist propaganda that for every moderate that wants to close immigration there is bound to be one that is motivated by racism and hatred. The longer this issue is drawn out the more problems it will cause and the more people will drawn to far right groups that promise decisive actions. @Meshugger: Whoever wrote that article is an ****; blaming the journal for a ****ed up religion's honor killings. If the best opposing view they come up is that we should stop because those crazies will keep attacking us, your'e giving enough justification for all out war against Muslim terrorists groups. -
Yes but I feel that BW has turned into a bad direction, open world doesn't go well with in depth storytelling.

So why is it that the opponents of mass immigration are the radicals and not those who are for such things? The rise in crime due to immigration plus a bad economic situation and terrorist attacks both in Europe as well as from extremists that migrate from Europe has drawn more support to far right groups across Europe. Mind you these are their national equivalents of the KKK or Neo Nazis, they aren't reformist and aren't very likely to begin mass deportations of immigrants if they get their chance. Even if they have good point extremism ins't the way to go, but in the face of unfaltering opposition the only possible response is violence.
