There actually no lore issues with female Thor in the Marvel Universe. Mjolnir has the specific legend of "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Semantic argument over the lack of gender neutral pronouns in the English language aside, the intent was, and always has been, that whoever was deemed worthy by the enchantment could hold the hammer and be Thor. Hence Beta Ray Bill. Is Thor a title? I thought it was the guy's name. Thor Odinson is the son of Odin. Named Thor. The Hammer Mjolnir has an enchantment that only the people worthy of it can pick it up. And in so doing, they are granted the power of Thor. Back when the title started, Odin had punished Thor by making him human and exiling him to earth (where he had the alias of Dr. Don Blake) and if he proved himself worthy he could unlock his Thor powers. Which he did, regaining powers and memory, but the enchantment to Mjolnir remains. So its a desert topping and a floorwax. I mean its a name and a title. Thor Odinson is Thor whether he has his hammer or not, but anyone who has his hammer and can pick it up ("worthy") is also Thor. So Beta Ray Bill was Thor until Thor took his hammer back and Odin had a similar hammer made for Bill that gave him Thorish powers. Which brings us to our mystery woman who picked up the hammer and has become Thor in the current title after Thor Odinson became unworthy and unable to pick it up again. The only other person besides Thor to go by Thor while wielding Mjolnir was Eric Masterson, and it was because Thor was bound inside his body, and when Thor was split from him and banished, he just kept up the illusion that he was still Thor, only revealing he wasnt to Captain America. Beta Ray Bill was still Beta Ray Bill, Steve Rogers was still Steve Rogers. Having Thor's powers doesn't make you Thor. It doesn't necessarily make you Thor - except when it does. BRB had all the powers of Thor and could have easily went by Thor if he wanted to. The realist in me thinks that it was because Thor is a known brand which if gender bent would cause outcry (as it did) and bring attention to the comic. Marvel has been relying on shock tactics for a while know regarding changes with their character, just like with the "Superior" Spider Man. Yet the conspiracy lunatic in me thinks that it is an attempt by the Jewish media to undermine the symbol of white nordic masculinity while they turn women more violent and men into wusses by putting Thor on the hands of SJWs. The passing of Thor hammer is a sign of the end of men...or I could be overreacting but my conspiracy sense is tingling.

There is everything wrong with the romances as they are for the most part cringy. Also, BW shouldn't be involved in open world games and they shouldn't in fact let you choose your own team. Those are missed opportunities for some character development, so DA:I; jack of all trades master of none, recycled assets from Origin and as usual the best girl doesn't have romance scene. (It's Harding if you're wondering)

Pretty much, word of mouth and insight is how I get my news since a while back. Maybe there are some other forums that discuss games more avidly than this one, on general (and if you have a strong stomach) I would recommend one of the chans (infinity preferred not that half one) since they act as a good filter for a lot of stuff and can even come up with some good content. They don't follow games as avidly and sometimes they just do it out of spite (most times) Other than that, I would say just watching for upcoming games. Ever since AAA has dried out the market there aren't that many games to get hyped for.

Well if they didn't give you enough you wouldn't have been able to complete the game, but considering that I ended with 100+ power I could have easily traded that for some influence or gold or some schematics. I could never get enough of those.

After 2 years of mammary related game scandals I'm just glad that they have something else to talk about. Indeed, there does seem to be a lot more focus on persons and personalities than on facts and issues that facts raise. If what you mean is that they stop enjoying sex because of their work, then I would ask you why does that matter. A lot of people stop enjoying their passions once it becomes their job. If you are talking about the stigma associated with sex work and porn then that's on moralists and their smear campaigns. Like I said before; there are a lot of different people in the world, nothing that you've said has convinced me that sex work is inherently bad just that some people are bad at it. Just like some people quit being doctors because they can't deal with the pressure of saving a life, or when people quit being cops because they are afraid they might lose their lives. The only reason why prostitution is abused by criminals is because it is illegal; although as someone pointed to me before on another thread decriminalization doesn't necessarily stop that, but it helps regulate it and police abuses. Secondly, prostitution isn't the only job with a psychological impact and when you compare it with other heavier jobs it seems very tame. Yet no one seems to want to criminalize those jobs or eliminate them. Even when not all of them are necessary or useful, they still exist and for many it is the only way to put food on the table. Thirdly, how do you reconcile "Her body her choice" with "Prostitution and Porn should be illegal"? Come on guys, you can't seriously be arguing with me about this and suggesting that a sex workers job isn't both demeaning and degrading? I think they should legalize all sex work, the girls need protection in the eyes of the law So we should ban jobs that have to deal with sewage, excrement, bugs or anything that its demeaning and degrading? Or are they allowed as long as we keep women away from them and in cushy white collar jobs? Don't worry, BW has joined bethesda in the old adage "Mods will fix it." From what I understand, modding DAI will be extremely difficult, if not impossible. At least Bethesda provides a toolset. My friend you don't understand the modding community. There are people already working on DAI_Tools, most recenlty there have been texture replacement mods done using them. It is still early but if they keep working on them I don't see why someone shouldn't be able to mod all NPC exclusive armors for PC use. They were probably made using the same base body so it should just be a matter of making them available, no rigging required (hopefully). Still, I don't know if this community will reach the same level as Origins less alone the Bethesda games...guess we'll see.

@Cultist: I never understood how people could waste time playing a game out of spite, it seems from your post that you played the game just to be critical of it. DA:I is nowhere near perfect and has some glaring issues but the fact that you dislike everything; even what they did well, is telling of your bias.

It may be that because corporations stock would drop if they become involved in a scandal they decided to take a preventive measure and try to disrupt conversation. Kind of incredible and sad that 5 months into this thing they are still finding new cases of corruption, not bad for a thing that everyone thought was going to be over in a few weeks. Its kind of like the Civil War of gaming.

As for the points concerning feminism, it is tangentially related as the SJWs are self described feminists of the sort that commit atrocious actions under its banner. GG is a coming together of people some of which may not be gamers but have a bone to pick with the opposition. Republicans and right wings are sympathetic since they have seemingly been dealing with these extremists for a while with the media ignoring them or ridiculing them. The left is united more in their fight against the right than in its desire to police itself it seems.

I didn't mind it so much but I'm still bother by the poor writing and the fact that nobody thought that having the first 15 minutes or so, be a narration info dump for a system that's pretty self explanatory was a good idea. A waste of screen time in order to quell what I think was the filmmakers' fears that people would be confused.
