Feedbackafter 8 hrs
To be fair to Jetset, I wonder if the longer fights and more frequent repairs can be fun for a new player who does't have the map memorized and who doesn't know which resources to gather/research and which upgrades to buy first, etc. For experienced players the recent changes are a bit more tedious and/or slightly more challenging...but I haven't heard anyone say it was more fun. The combo/durability changes could definitely skew the sense of progression unfavorably on a first play through. I do agree with the the other responders; the hurdle expressed regarding the ladybug/bombardier is surmountable especially with multiple people. I can't help but suspect they were trying to fight up close and personal when their current gear, mutations, and skills are suited for sniping/traps. Edit: I restarted the other day and my best recommendations are getting tier two tools/weapon/armor supplies are: Tier 2 Ax & Hammer Supplies, Lady Bug Armor: Go to the hedge area and break the spider sacks. Most of them have insect parts including bombardier parts, ladybug heads, gnat fuzz, acid sacks, stinkbug parts and I'm pretty sure I got a boiling gland. I did not get any ladybug parts though. (Not sure if that was just my luck or they are not one of the potential items.) You can avoid the large orb weavers in the area pretty easily. You will have to fight the spiderlings. Go into the lab area at your own risk as there are orb weaver juniors. Some people find them easy and others not so much at the start. Either way you can get the materials for the tier two hammer and ax this way without having to fight the actual enemies that drop them. While in this area shoot down blue berries to make leather. Tier 2 Bow: I built stem windows in the openings of the oak tree while the two resident wolf spiders slept inside/underneath. (You can build other obstructions rather than stem windows but I like how the stem windows look and I can see/shoot through the windows. I can also jump over them in the larger opening to get inside when I want to. You can use grass and thus avoid the need for tier 2 ax for this.) I used some pillars and stem windows between the roots where the third one tends to sleep. Then I crafted a lot of arrows and sniped the wolf spiders I had trapped letting me obtain the spider fangs I needed for the their two bow. Lady Bug Armor: I found ladybugs in areas where there were things to jump out of reach on. Shoot, shoot , jump up, shoot, shoot, jump down, shoot etc. It's not a fun method but it's doable. (A tier one bow makes this method a true test of patience so I recommend getting the tier 2 bow first.) You can build stem windows around a sleeping ladybug but you'll want to have another structure (natural or made) to shoot from. If you are too close to the ladybug it'll charge the walls/windows and destroy the trap. Unlike the spider 'traps' the ladybug ones are only good for one use as the ladybugs will never spawn in them again. (That I know of at least. Their sleep spawn points don't seem to match.) The spiders have a good chance of respawning inside the traps. They don't always. Do not think you are safe around the oak tree from wolf spiders until you have confirmed where they are or have already kill them that day. Nothing I suggested is relying on glitches so while it may be seen as cheesing by some it's acceptable in my eyes when direct confrontation is not working for you. Play however you find fun. I hope these suggestions are of use.

Feedbackafter 8 hrs
Hmmm. The host AFK issue in a survival game with hunger/thirst is an issue. I was just in a furniture thread where a sleeping bag was suggested as a new item. Perhaps there would be a way to code that item to freeze or really slow down stat decay of the user rather than just being a mobile bed.

Furniture!
As I like building/decorating I would love to see the items suggested above. Aside from the items you listed I would like clutter objects to place on the tables/shelves. I would like us to be able to craft some, but I would really like there to be ones we can find. (I want there to be other things to hunt for when I'm resource gathering.) One of the Brug.L logs talks about a pair of dice being shrunk. I think Wendel would have repeated that experiment several times with different objects and I want to find those shrunken objects the yard, in bases, and in the buildings if we ever get inside them. . Clutter objects are not needed to progress so I'd like them to be tricky to find. Molars are very easy and buried treasure is pretty obvious as well. I'm up for a challenge. Here are some suggestions to build off the list above. Furniture/clutter: Hammock Stove top (cook different meals... or have a cooking skill for use to work on to make meals have better perks) Loom (make fabric for other items/armor) Windchime (maybe made with bone shards (very underused item)) Checkerboard Newton's Cradle Door mat Statues or something that can go on top of pillars Fireplace. Not the campfire but an actual fireplace. A sink... maybe one that hooks up to the water container that I never use. You could drink from sink. Not really need but hey, if we have a sink I want it to function. A shower... also hooks to the water container I never use. However if they ever made our characters stink after a period of time of not washing and our stench aggroed insects more I would be interested in showering. Mannequin heads (for head gear that does not have chest/arm pieces or leg/knee guards.) Pully (a way to make lifts/elevators) Radio - Either find a shrunk one or create one from parts found a lab. We have all this technology in the labs that is our size and yet none of it can be used in our bases?

A few mutation ideas
Lady's Don't Dodge - If we ever get dodge I would love this. Web Crawler: Sounds cool. The speed of my character and the length of the line would matter on whether I use it though. Dirty Living: Wolf Spiders already stalk the player if they come across their trail. Do you mean they would actively seek you out in the game regardless of your trail? Hmm. If every wolf spider starts making their way towards the character when the mutation is triggered then time and location would impact the outcome. If the player is inaccessible, such as being the pond lab or on the picnic table, they'll be fine. Timing wise if the side effect is too short there is a good chance no wolf spiders will make it to the player before the effect ends. If the mutation lasts for a while and the player is accessible that could result in multiple wolf spiders attacking in quick succession or at the same time. Depending on the mode/settings and current armor/mutation/weapons and player skill that ranges from being a death sentence to easy grinding. You could use yourself as bait for a traps. The status would have to stay active even after the mutation is turned off or I think I'd abuse it for healing. If I needed to heal I'd turn it on, eat the spoiled food, them turn it off. Ghosted: I like this one, especially if I can get it early in game. Even if they don't like the idea of this being a mutation, I think it would be cool if a new insect did only attack what it could see at that moment and thus hiding out of sight did work to cancel the agro. I think it would need to be a powerhouse of an insect though that way there are reason to hide. Maybe a different future bug could be motion or sound sensitive; ignore you when you are still and charge when you move.

Lint rope is too expensive compared to other spinning wheel recipes
Unless they plan on adding more sources for lint, I agree fully. I find the dust mites 'not fun' to fight on the mat as the numbers are a bit ridiculous so grinding for this material is tedious for me and not very fruitful.

Combo System
I also preferred the combat pre-update. Having successive hits do more damage than the preceding is a nice idea but making the first hit so weak was a bad move in my opinion. Personally I'd prefer something like 90-90-120 or 80-100-120 than the 50-100-150 they went with.

Please fix this or I'll never play again.
I've had that issue occur. I play on PC and it only seems to happen when I sign in to my xbox live account. It's SUPER frustrating. I freaked out when all my tier 2/3 items seemed to have become a a tier 1 version and my character kept loading by the oak tree when I should have been by the sandbox. (I say seemed as it's possible the game was referencing old save data where those were the items and location rather than the wrong items being pulled in a current save and placing me in the wrong location.) After trying to load multiple saves I logged out and played as an offline user and my saves loaded correctly. Band-aid solution or coincidence; I can't say.

create a fridge for food
While many have made the refrigerator suggestion you might be the first one to suggest snail slime as the coolant. (The picnic table cooler, a secondary cooler, an ice bag, leftover drink with ice, or slushy in the trash area, and a broken air conditioner are all ones I read/commented on before. I have not read very post so I'm likely missing a lot.) I had been thinking of the coolant for a refrigerator being along the lines of another candy type and I don't think any of the bugs so drop effect items (minty, sizzling, salty). Changing that up could make things interesting. Maybe we could also use snail slime in a bomb and have that have a temporary freezing effect on enemies... and on water simply because it would look awesome.

Possible future addition?
I would like to suggest that we have different ice weapon than a blade. While I do like swords best, there are other weapons lacking in the 3rd tier that I would like to see created. There are small enough rodents to work in Grounded like the Crow does. That list gets smaller if we are supposed to fight them. It get's much smaller if we are looking for location appropriate ones. A young/runt masked shrew is a possibility. They are active at night and jump rather well. Adult ones get a bit too large to fight at 99mm. A wolf spider is around 35mm for comparison. A young/runt star-nosed mole might be appropriate and those are active in winter and can swim so not only can it be in the ice area it can roam the yard and pond. It's adult size is too big to fight unless we are following Shadow of the Colossus's lead though... or Link with a rock golem. I would definitely like to see the tree get a lab expansion. Being able to see that extra room we can't access always made me assume there would be more at some point.

Split screen
My niece and nephew want to play this game with me/each other so bad when they visit so if it is possible to make the game split screen for local play that would be very welcomed.

More container types
That would be a nice visual improvement and make finding at least of our supplies easier. One issue though is size. Chests are fairly small and store a variety of items together so you can get a ton of materials close to workbench and thus access them for crafting without inventory juggling. The more visually accurate storages would likely need more space and frankly I would want to place them differently for ascetic appeal. Maybe the developers can increase the 'pull-from-storage' range...like make it so we can upgrade work benches to increase their range.

Suggestions for into the wood
There was another thread I saw recently suggesting more insect eggs and I was onboard with that specifically for the purpose of making more unique grenades as I'm hoping base raiding get's implemented. I'm with you on the termite eggs and either them or potentially bombardier beetle eggs should definitely be an acid bomb of some sort. I think being able to 'slow' enemies would be sweet and your crown idea uses new drops so I love it. The shield bug does need an upgrade or two... or it simply to be relocated to where I can't just shoot it to death so easily.

Improve healing bandage
I wish I did more with smoothies so I could make a more educated reply but I think they have intentionally left bandages as weak/slow healing method as we are supposed to use smoothies for faster/greater healing. (I've only used smoothies for the Assistant Manager fight so far as the third stage kicked me in the shins. I will likely use them more now that Whoa! is harder.) That said I would still be very much in favor of your idea; perhaps a 'bandage+' we could unlock.

Owls and owl pellets
I think this is great idea. The pellets sound a bit like the spider eggs so it fits in already with game. It's a logical way to get some cool resources that don't really fit in with the game yet; as you suggested fur and lizard scales.

Houseplants - Miniture Garden Patch
Many of us suspect armor upgrading is coming. I'm hoping they add armor customization as well; color, patches, etc. To build off your idea succulent needles could be used a crafting material (sewing needle). As we now have two advanced versions of arrows there comes a point where we don't really use mite or gnat fuzz much (or at least I don't). We already have a spinning wheel but maybe we could build a loom and craft fuzz into cloth for armor customizations. If weather is added to the game we could have to make items to keep warm or winterize our bases.

Suggestions after finishing Hot and Hazy content
I second the elevators. The stairs and bounce webs get a bit crazy when making Grounded's version of skyscrapers. Though I think they might have to make it work like an old school elevator with a lever the player uses to go up/down as the code need to determine what is being used a floor/ceiling/shelf and the various height differences that could be between floors... yikes. I think the lever type fits in better with the aesthetic as well. Or we could have to place elevator shaft pieces to denote floors if they did go with a button style.

Scarabs
I didn't realize running was actually my problem initially when hunting scarabs. If you walk you can see them and aim before they bolt most of the time. Using the crossbow with feather/splinter arrows gave me one shot kills...when I could aim well enough. If you miss an walk after them you typically have a second/third/forth chance at a shot. Once I started using the scanners I was able to find them with 'relative' ease. I was not a fan initially, but I'm okay with them now. It's a different type of hunting so I appreciate that. The latest patch notes say they upped the quantity of shells dropped so that should help as well for upgrades.

Fridge?
Fully onboard with the food preservation solution. The picnic table already has a cooler; it could be opened (by default or in game means) and we could collect to ice to either make a refrigerator or added to one like old school versions when ice deliveries were a thing. Even though there is a cooler, the other side of map is feeling kind of meaningless later in the game so perhaps we need something by the blueberry hedge or the other side of the pond... just saying I rarely play over there these days. Or there could be a dropped slushy or ice filled disposable cup in the trash area. Nothing wrong with having multiple places to collect ice from. Maybe we can us the new leather and ice to make icepacks for our backpacks to delay spoiling while on the go.

Feedback on combat changes in PTS 0.12.0
I also think the damage needs to be adjusted. I'm leaning more towards: 90 - 90 - 120. The third hit still gets a boost but the player won't feel pathetically weak when we are only able to get in a blow at a time. Some fo the fights just drag currently. Kudos to people who have the timing down pat with each enemy and can rock the three ht combo scene consistantly, but I'm not one of them.

Suggestions: Ideas
I like the sour type having an acid effective. A flying supply transport suggested by ScritchOwl sounds more feasible than land given the map. Perhaps we'd have to build landing pads for taking off/landing. This would help insure we didn't try to move the 'trailer' into a space that was not going to work. I think ScritchOwl might have been picturing a snake that we fight (boss battle) and a whole snake fang as a sword while I was picturing the snake being non-combative like the bird and we gathered the supplies/drops the way we do feathers; attack ridiculously large item with ax and poof micro-version.

Stored items Losing Health
I have experienced the chest/armor degrading issue more than once. I can't figure out what triggers it as it's not a constant problem.

Suggestions: Ideas
I like the idea of additional birds for other color feathers, but would like the birds to not be as 'loud' as the crow. The crow is rather jarring noise wise. Snake skin sounds like a great ingredient. I would also like some fang drops as well; maybe for a tier three hammer/pickaxe that can get metal or some other resource the current hammer can't handle. While I like the idea of the ladybug trailer, ladybugs can't jump or go over ledges. Unless the 'trailer' was on the ladybug's back we'd need a wheeled cart which doesn't work well with Grounded's terrain. Getting the ladybug/trailer to go where you want could be rather challenging. Maybe we could set up 'roads' of some sort they could use (another foundation type?). Being able to find things like buttons for wheels would be cool. Sour is good addition. Warheads come to mind. If base raids are implemented then I like having additional bug eggs as you suggested as we could craft additional bomb types to defend ourselves with.

General Ideas - Quests, Building, Storage
I’ve really enjoyed this game and just wanted to share some ideas. Story and Quests It does need more story and quests that are not just hunt a set number of this or make this armor. Once you find the labs and build a decent base those quests feel super repetitive. Up until that time you can switch back and forth on what you are focusing on doing and the balance feels fine. I would like something like rare item/artifact hunting. Things randomly get ‘dropped’ in the yard. These items could also get carried off by certain insects so you might find some down in the ant mounds or in a wolf spiders sleeping place and not just out in the open somewhere; a string, a button, a safety pin, etc. Small items that we can use to make furniture, weapons, armor etc. I feel like this needs to be fairly rare and random so it takes a long time to get what is needed. You shouldn’t be able to outfit your 17 story base with button tables, safety pin blinds, or woven rugs in a just a few real life days. The game is currently lacking in latter game goals so this aspect taking a while would be good. Some unique items just for displaying would also be cool. I’ve started decorating the world and not just my base and being able to make like a town square monument or something of that nature seems delightful. It would also be nice to have boss battles. Perhaps some should be a one-time feat to grant access to some area where as others could reoccurring. The only issue with one-time battles is guests. A guest should not be able to initiate a one-time battle. It cheats the host out of the experience. I enjoyed the extra steps needed to access the pond lab and hope any future labs require some puzzle solving. Preferably more complex. Building and Decorating: Building wise I really want the option to ‘mirror’ or flip certain objects, not just rotate them. (If this is already a feature, someone please just tell me how.) I want to be able to make the acorn stairs go in the other direction sometimes. I want to be able to make the triangle stem flooring go in the same direction as the rest of my floor; depending on where eI need the triangle sometimes that is not an option. Speaking of the triangle stem flooring, the little bump they have when placing items half on them drives me crazy. I’d like there to be stem triangle wall pieces as well. A fish scale roof would be sweet. I feel like there needs to be pebblet walls/floors/archways and such. We hit two of the three pigs already with straw (grass), sticks (stems), so let's do bricks (pebblets). I would like to be able to make paints and dyes to color our bases, furniture, armor and weapons. We end up with a lot spare bug parts and if we could use them to make said dyes and paints that would be lovely. I would like to use spider silk to make things like curtains/rugs/tapestries or to find string randomly in the world to use for this. I’d like to be able to make a boat or raft or something I can move supplies on across the pond or flood area. The end goal is to be able to build more easily in some ares where stem resources are rare be bring over a bunch via the boat. Storage I want an auto-sort option for the inventory within my bag or within a storage container. It would be nice if we could upgrade our backpacks. In order for that feature to not be just one upgrade or result in a ridiculous amount of storage, perhaps each upgrade only gives one additional slot. We could find small swatched of fabric and use them for upgrades. I’d like there to be other storage options besides the the chest and basket. A chest of drawers for multiple sets of armor, a shelve unit that has more storage space than a chest, etc. It’s not just the storage aspect but being able to decorate your base more with functional items. Mini-Games It may be hard, but mini games to play with others. Maybe a Burg.L chip that unlocks race track items and the ability temporarily tame ladybugs with an aphid-on-a-stick so you can race them. This kind of thing gives the player more things to build than just a base and something to do with others. It would be neat if you built a basketball court or other sporting area and could make stands and playing with the sports items could attract aphids or some other non-aggressive creatures to watch. Or a chess board. You could move the chess pieces the same way you move furniture. NPCs There could be a mocking bird that if you treat nicely will sometimes return the gesture with one rare item. Not all new creatures need to be enemies or prey.
