Well, I am sure Kaftan will love this game, since he seems to be much more interested in a well-told story than ph4t l00t and 1337 combat. Did you use Tradera.se to find it? I did! Of course, i got the old crappy version on 4 CD's, but still. At least I got to play it. Can't remember what I paid for it.. Hmm. More than 40 SEK at least. Just too bad the game itself was a disappointment for me.

The problem for me is that I'm really in the mood to start playing a new, good RPG. But there are none! There aren't even any mediocre new RPG's out there (unless I ignore my brain and start enjoying japanese console RPG's on my PS2)! I guess my best chance is Dungeon Lords. It's the one closest to completion, reminds me of Gothic and has one good name behind it (D.W. Bradley). If only Heuristic Park or Dreamcatcher could set a releasedate for it.. (it was supposed to come out before xmas 2004).

Or maybe they're working on a game based on the license, but haven't gotten far enough yet to publicly announce it. It's not like I think they're going to let that very expensive license go to waste just because some fanboys whine.

I must suffer from bad taste or something because the Hitler-fumbling-a-melon was the only one that made me laugh. It just looks so silly! But I can understand if the moderators wouldn't like it..

I thought dragons were immune to dragon breaths?
-
Yup. That effectively killed this thread.

For what it's worth, I also thought Baldur's Gate offered more of a challenge than Neverwinter Nights.

So.. that means.. I'm responsible for Gorth on these forums?! I'M SO SORRY EVERYONE!! I DIDN'T MEAN TO BRING IT HERE!!

"GameCube's prettiest title." Uhm.. Well, the game sure does sound great from the review anyhow, although the reviewer sounds like a graphics freak masturbating over some new technological advance. Which it isn't.

9.8?! Are they completely out of their minds?

My first post was made in a thread that reminds me of this one. Someone asked why people had come to these forums (because no game had yet been announced) and my answer was: February 8, 2004: "I came here because I collect forums. Oh, and I'm also very interested in CRPG's and since there haven't been any good ones in a long while I thought I'd come here and somehow influence the developers so that they create the game of my dreams.. Hey, don't laugh, it might work! " I'm still going for the game-of-my-dreams plan..

Woohoo! Go taks! Gothic 2 R00LZZ! [/Gothic 2 fanboyism] And yes.. Sadly enough, I think Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was the best RPG I played this year. At least I think so, since I can't remember any others that made an impact on me this year. Oh, if only people allowed me to categorize GTA: San Andreas as a RPG..

Game Reviewers taking bribes to boost scores...
mkreku replied to drcloak's topic in Computer and Console
I gave Driv3r 64% when I reviewed it.. We at NordicGamers have daily contact with the Atari PR department in Sweden, and I must say I haven't noticed anything like what was described in that article. Atari Nordic has always been very fair with us, and they keep sending us review code, even if we trash their games. As long as we're honest, they're honest. We treat them (and their products) with respect, and they show us the same respect back. Of course, I, too, have been wondering about some review scores on Gamespy and Gamespot.. Sometimes they don't seem completely honest.. -
I think I've mentioned this before, but I played Daggerfall like a nut (only stopped because my hd crashed a few months back, actually). Naturally I awaited Morrowind with great expectations, and I even pre-ordered it from the US (in a special, more expensive box).. Morrowind is the most disappointing game I've ever played. And expensive too.

I once walked past a Gamecube stand where you could play for free.. I shoveled away an army of kids, grabbed the controller and thought, "Ok, what the hell, let's give it a shot. It can't all be happy tomatoes and fluffy bunnies, right?!". The game I started was called Ribbit King (if I remember correctly) and it was kind of a golf game, but instead of balls you had frogs to whack. The game was so cutesy and colourful and happy it makes me sick just to think about it!! Check it out: http://www.ribbitking.com/ I don't think I'll ever touch a Gamecube again.. Ps. Definition of irony: it turned out I had to review Ribbit King for the PS2 a few months later..

Yeah, I saw Gamespot had this strange election where they voted for the "Top News Stories Of The Year" or something like that. Some boring news bit that I forgot about won. For me the biggest gaming news surprise all year was when they officially announced that Bethesda had gotten the Fallout license. IT. DOESN'T. MAKE. SENSE.

Well, I would strongly suggest you take a look at Acer computers, since you seem to live in Europe, Roshan. They're good, reliable and cheap. If you have lots and lots of money, they even have models that were designed by Ferrari and carry the Black Stallion brand! Anyhow, they're cheap Check them out here: http://global.acer.com/ Ps. I think the Ferrari Acer's better looking than Alienware..

Future games you are seriously looking forward to.
mkreku replied to Lilac Benjamine's topic in Computer and Console
Weird. I have only tried Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance together with a friend (we still haven't finished it) and it doesn't suck at all. Maybe if I try it alone? I thought that game was made to be played co-operatively and that the single player was just a by-product. -
Looks like it's going to be a good year for me! Dungeon Lords, Gothic 3 and.. uhm.. I forgot the last one. Anyhow, GOOD! Let's just hope that Gothic 3 makes it out in 2005. Ps. Boiling Point looks extremely good too. Let's hope it plays as well as it sounds.

Swedish meatballs?

I posted a picture of my girlfriend in another thread here recently. A few days after, that thread was mysteriously removed.. I'm glad my girlfriend isn't on this forum seeing me posting pictures of her!

Did anyone ever see an old horror movie named "The Chair"? Yes, I know the name should have been enough of a hint to stop me from watching it, but.. Uh.. It was a boring summer and my cat died and.. uhm.. nevermind, but that is easily the worst movie you'll ever watch (if you watch it). It's a story about a dangerous chair.. with the lamest music you'll ever hear in a horror movie.

My nickname is the first letter in my first name and my whole last name: M Kreku. My avatar is an enemy you can encounter in the game Wasteland, with an ugly Santa Claus hat drawn onto it.. My title used to be Swedish Redneck before they removed custom titles. Grr.

Which were the missions in GTA:SA that you could complete in several different ways? I only managed to either complete them (in one particular way) or fail them (in a billion ways).
