A moderator on JoWood's official board translated a german post by one of the developers on Gothic's biggest fan site. I thought it was an interesting read. I love that he's honest enough to admit that they failed in a lot of aspects and are now working hard to redeem themselves. http://forum.jowood.de/showthread.php?t=136609

Notice how good Tellquist has become since he was traded from Toronto? Annoying. Anyhow, I can't get a grip on this years Leaf's team. They lose two in a row against middle ranked teams, on home ice (Actually Buffalo was one of those losses). Then I'm pissed because they face Buffalo again, on away ice, and I am certain it will be their third loss in a row. But then our captain apparently has a great game and we win it?! I'm glad I'm not betting money on NHL games. Still, it was a win. A much needed one. Now if they win nine more in a row, we might have a chance to make it to the play offs. Anyone else notice that last years two exceptional rookies are now topping the points list? Whatever happened to the term "sophomore slump"?! They're amazing.

I only visit three gaming relates homepages: Eurogamer, Gamespot and Gametrailers. Your botty ways don't work on me because I've already corrupted myself!! MWAhahahahaaa!

Crytek claims (of course..) that their destruction will be like nothing we've seen before. They've released videos showing how they demolish an entire building by driving a truck through it, how full auto on a Gatlin gun tears down the forest in front of you and stuff like that. I vaguely remember seeing wooden planks splinter exactly on the spot where you shoot them too..

Got 4948 and made it to the last level. 30,000 hp per creep! Geez! I was above 5000 points, but the creeps drain points when they exit the level and a billion of them managed to escape me..

Oohh, Pool of Radiance had a level cap at 8. That's still my favourite Ad&D game ever.

http://novelconcepts.co.uk/FlashElementTD/ Kill the creeps by strategically placing placing turrets everywhere. My highscore: 2500 something. Boo!

Check out this cool comparison between DVD and HD: http://www.cornbread.org/FOTRCompare/index.html I especially like the "Shot 4" (where the hobbits are huddled under a tree). There really is quite a difference.

Dar Messiah of Might & Magic was repetitive, uninspired and plain stupid in its level design. And I was never able to get hooked on Arx Fatalis either. So.. that means I'm not interested in this title at all. What am I doing in this thread?? I am lost. Help. Mommy. :'(

Congratulations! Now get back to gaming, you nerd.

I usually only check for updates every time I start up the game (which is once every third day or so).. Would that install the beta patch? Or do I have to download it manually since it's a beta patch..? Maybe I should just wait for it to become official instead of beta.

It looks like the Leafs and the Flyers are going to be the ones battling for last place in the NHL this year. Imagine that. The top pick is ours!! The top pick is ours!!

Oh, I just remembered! I also had one of these: Amazing little machine! Read more: http://www.nvg.ntnu.no/sinclair/computers/...um/spec1648.htm The game that is depicted further down was actually the first computer game I ever owned: Jet Pac!

So basically what all you sissies are saying is that you played with dolls.

Someone else might have mentioned it before. I don't think I have though. I did mention that it was a nuisance that I couldn't enter a house without teleporting my cousin to me.. And I've mentioned that I don't have many options in battle yet.. Those points might vaguely resemble my latest gripe, I don't know.

I once bought a Red Hot Chili Peppers album from Itunes. The hassle of getting it from the computer and burnt onto a CD was ridiculous. I'll never again shop from Itunes, that's for sure. I don't remember how we solved the problem (it had something to do with the DRM, of course) but I remember having to get help from my cousin and we spent an entire evening wrestling with it.

We've played a bit more Neverwinter Nights 2 in co-op over the 'net. I must say that it's a bit.. boring. Even in co-op! I mean, WHY does the game have to pause every character whenever someone initiates a dialogue or a cut scene? I can be strolling around on the far left of a map when my cousin suddenly initiates a useless dialogue with a farmer on the far right of the map. What happens is that my game just stops and I see this grayed out conversation take place in the top left corner of my screen. But since I'm so far away, I don't actually see which dialogue choices my cousin is choosing! I only see the replies pop up in the log window in the bottom left corner! And Neverwinter Nights 2 is 90% waiting in dialogue windows and 10% the rest of the game. It gets pretty dull whenever you enter a city and you're out looking for side quests and stuff. Especially since it's my cousin who has the verbal skills (my rogue is only good at bluffing).. We're only up to Highcliff so far, but I really hope there's something left in this game that can keep my interest. I don't know exactly what's wrong, but the game is starting to feel like a chore instead of a game. There's so much waiting.. Waiting in dialogues, waiting for the automatic combat to finish, waiting for the loading to finish even when you enter just a tiny one-room house. And there's really no player skill needed in this game. You're just clicking on every character you meet, clicking on every enemy you need to fight and playing dress-up doll with your character. This game sure could use some voice-chatting capabilities.

I had one of these: It was incredibly fast, but the battery only lasted for 7-10 minutes. Oh, and I painted my car black and I never mounted that little man on top.. Most often I used to drive it without the Audi-shaped plastic box on.

Don't count on it!

Busted.

One game? One boring game is all the NHL has to offer tonight?! Someone should fire the schedule makers.

I had a Geforce 7800 for a while, but I couldn't stand the constant problems with the drivers. Every time I was trying to show a movie on my TV it gave me problems. It distorted the picture, sometimes not showing a picture at all and often it required a restart of the computer, but it never said so. I just happened to notice that I'd set all the parameters correctly and the damn thing still refused to work. But the next time I turned on the computer it was ok. For a while. The damn card used to change the colours too! Sometimes everything even remotely movie-like turned all black. Streaming movies from Gamespot, downloaded game trailers in Quicktime format, everything. Then it was a struggle trying to balance the colour degrees. GOD I HATED THOSE DRIVERS! They were incompatible with a few games too, but I can't remember which right now. I just remember trying out one of my older games and it was impossible to play because of the artefacts. I've sold that card now and I'm currently using a Sapphire Radeon X1950XTX instead. The only problem I've had with ATI's drivers was that they recommended that you'd install .NET 1.1 when you installed Catalyst Control Center. I accidentally installed .NET 2.0 instead because I thought 2.0 meant that 1.1 was included in the package. Apparently it wasn't.

Yes.. but notice how they on both pictures are avoiding the close-up of ground textures!!1! It's a conspiracy!!

I continued my game of Silent Storm last night. Amazing what a difference in hardware setup can do. I used to play it in 1024x768 with everything on high except Anisotropic Filtering (AF) and Anti Aliasing (AA). It still stuttered sometimes when there were huge battles going on. Last night I was playing it silky smooth with 1280x960 resolution, and everything on max. I mean 16xAF and uh.. I guess 6xAA (It just says maximum or something like that and it's in three steps) really does improve the picture. I'm not enjoying the game more, but it sure looks nice enough now. And the Core 2 Duo really helps in making the battle rounds seem shorter. The game almost never stops to think for very long anymore. One odd thing though: I had to restart my character (because transferring him from my girlfriend's computer to mine didn't work for some reason) and this time around it feels like I'm getting different missions. Is the game somewhat dynamic? I might have found a clue or two more this time than I did in my previous attempt at playing.. Also, I'm building another type of character (relying on powerful damage instead of speed), can that have affected anything? Or am I being delusional?

What?? CRAP! I already bought a frog I had planned to torture! DAMNIT!
