  1. That sure makes me wonder why you're playing it already, but not me.
  2. Where are you from, Spider? I always thought you were Norwegian for some reason..
  3. Anandtech has tested the new 1TB drive from Hitachi. I think this quote sums it up pretty well: "Overall, we think Hitachi's Deskstar 7K1000 is the best 7200rpm drive we have tested to date." Source: http://www.anandtech.com/storage/showdoc.aspx?i=2949&p=1 This (together with the fact that Hitachi constantly wins hardware tests in most Swedish publications too) is the reason why I only buy Hitachi.

Nice win against New jersey Devils tonight! We're out of the playoffs (as usual) but now we're at least very much in the race again. There are like.. five (or so) teams within one or two points of each other. And we're all battling for those last two playoff spots. GO LEAFS GO!

I think I'd just porn surf more.
  10. My version of GTA: San Andreas came with a full book. Unfortunately I'm sort of a collector and I haven't had the heart to open it and see what it's about. It's one of those books that look "bent" when you read them. Still, it's quite impressive. Although. .I just realized that it may have been a Collector's Edition.. those doesn't count, do they?
  11. I once played a really odd little Japanese game called Road Trip: A Road Adventure. It had unbearably cutesy graphics, its driving model was far from perfect (but working nonetheless) and it was a bit simplistic all-in-all. But it was the first and only car-based RPG I ever played, and it was surprisingly fun. You started out in a small village, as a car. Not a driver, you actually were the car. Anyhow, you had cheap tires, a small engine, bad suspension and all that, but you could roam the countryside as much as you wanted and you could compete in the village race arena. From there you'd win races, solve quests, collect collectibles, upgrade your car (yourself..) and move on to faster races in other towns. All this took place in a free-roaming world where you could drive your car anywhere without loading times! After a while you'd even get the chance to build your own town! I had an absolute blast playing that game and would love to see another RPG using the same game mechanics. With deformable cars, more "mature" (and, preferably, realistic) graphics, real car models, better driving physics, and a driver that could actually exit his vehicle. So I was thinking: The Cannonball Run: American muscle cars, stupid southern sheriffs and you'd play as Burt "Million Dollar Smile" Reynolds! Vanishing Point: You'd again drive American muscle cars, but this time it's a more sinister story with corrupt police, drugs, hookers and mile after mile of roads. The Fast and the Furious: Crappy movie, I know, but it would be perfect for this type of game. Fast cars, lots of races, modern times, pretty girls and more car pimpin' than you'd ever need.
  12. So basically it's the D&D system that's flawed. The difference between levels is too big. I like it more when the system doesn't take me from gutter trash to divine being in ten levels, but rather that I go from skinny malnourished geek to exceptionally athletic soldier genius. Or something.
  13. No Wasteland? Good, because then I can dismiss that list without a second thought.
  14. I just have to add a few more facts for my Jade Empire combat (I'm surprised that even two people seem to have problems with it): I used swords on everything organic, because they are fast, powerful and has a good reach. I never used magic for anything but healing. If there were ghostly creatures around, I'd switch to my hands (because swords don't hurt them). When I got the Jade Golem, I only used it on the last boss encounter (except for toying around with). Basically I only put my points in speed and damage on the two or three skills I used (I kind of remember switching hands style after a while.. don't know why). I never used Chi attacks (and subsequently never put points in raising that part of the skill), because that's just a waste of healing power. Find a style that looks cool (they're all the same anyhow) and spend all your points on speed and damage. Because I concentrated on so few skills, I got a lot of extra points to spend. Whenever I got something new I wanted to try out, I could immediately max out that skill. If it didn't do anything for me, I just reload and try another one.

Just play Toronto. We helped Washington break their nine game losing streak tonight. Aren't we kind?
  16. WHAT?! How is that possible? Was my version flawed or something? I didn't touch the difficulty settings, so I assume they were on normal, but I definitely breezed through everything the game threw at me using the same tactics over and over: Jump around. If the enemy flashes blue, quick attack. If they have shield up, slow attack. Jump around some more. End of fight. That goes for the entire game as well.
  17. This thread is starting to feel like a discussion about Woodstock. 500,000 people were there, 50 million people claim they were there.

Ninth straight loss! I think the Leafs managed eight straight losses earlier in the season before they turned it around.. At least Robert Nilsson looked good.. and you'll get some of your 11 (!!) injured players back soon. Or.. if you lose the remaining 11, you might get a top five pick at the next draft..? Important game for the Leafs tonight. One of those difficult must-win games. For some reason, the Leafs always has a tough time against Washington. They can't seem to be able to stop the Alex's. But if they win this one, they'll move into a position for the play-off race for real! Right now they're one point out of the play-offs, but with two games less played than Carolina (eight right now). GO LEAFS GO!

  22. I probably spend a good 3-4 hours per day playing video games. The problem is that I'm not spending those hours playing games I want to play, most of the time.

  25. Actually, that test was done with the 1.5 BIOS. It's the 1.6 BIOS that's supposed to bring the backwards compatibility to the PS3, so I am surprised that even one of the games worked!
