Bethesda buys the Fallout IP from Interplay
mkreku replied to aVENGER's topic in Computer and Console
This is great news! Now we'll at least see something happen to the franchise. It's not like the market is flooded with post-apocalyptic RPG's already and since Herve was only letting his collection of sewer rats roleplay in the Fallout universe.. this is a good thing. Oblivion was obviously not a perfect game, but it was good enough for me to spend 100 hours in it. I'm sure I'll enjoy Fallout 3 too, although probably not in the same way I enjoyed the previous Fallouts. I do NOT however think that Bethesda are incapable of making anything but Oblivion with guns. I'm sure they are versatile enough to make Fallout differ enough from the Elder Scrolls. -
Real Breaking News: Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer
mkreku replied to Sand's topic in Computer and Console
Weird that the best D&D game I've ever played had a level cap of 8. And I almost felt like a god at that measly level! -
RAM is very cheap right now though. It's actually the cheapest it's ever been so if you're thinking about upgrading your RAM, now is the time to do it.

Did anyone beat the arena? I totally forgot about it in my first run through the game so I tried it today instead. It's a bit tougher than I thought it would be, but I've made some progress and I am now pitted alone against two Spetznaz guys! They've killed me once before I got tired of the game and turned it off.. So far only monetary rewards, something I don't really need as I already have 160,000+ rubels. -
I received my new camera by mail today. I'm still loading the battery for the first time and then I'll take it for a test drive. I can't wait! I have high hopes for this little piece of technology It's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3. It's black and very pretty.

Real Breaking News: Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer

I'm hoping they'll somehow redo the multiplayer so that when you're playing co-op, you're not joined by the hip like some freaky Siamese twins. -
Breaking news: NWN2 EXPANSION "Legacy of Gith" for pre-order!
mkreku replied to Tasaio's topic in Computer and Console
"Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer's engrossing campaign will conclude the storyline that began in the original Neverwinter Nights 2, and focus on combat, exploration and classic D&D dungeon-crawling," said Feargus Urquhart, CEO of developer Obsidian Entertainment. In Nazi-Germany, all jews were forced to wear a David's Cross on their sleeves by law. Did they also deserve to be punished for not wearing one? Don't treat laws as something un-challengeable. Same with your "holy" constitution. All these things were written by mere men. They are not without flaws and since we live in a very dynamic society and laws (and the Constitution) are static, they're inevitably bound to become pass

There's a rather interesting interview out on IGN about one of the games I am following, White Gold (aka. Boiling Point 2): http://rpgvault.ign.com/articles/779/779551p1.html Oh, and I thought this was kind of funny: "The main opponents are people. They are from different factions and have wildly varying weapons, equipment and clothes. Naturally, some of these can be taken as booty after defeating them." Mmm.. Booty Edit: I forgot to add: REALISTIC WEAPONS FOR TEH WIN!!

Exactly! Finally someone who has had the same experience as I did -
I would recommend a MUCH more powerful GPU at almost the same price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814102067 This card is a beast and a steal at that price.

Hmm.. I thought Minnesota was going to upset Anaheim. I still think they have a shot of winning the series though.

I don't know, I got mine much earlier than that. I think I must have gotten a very rare purple treasure or something. -
Gaah! Not only do we miss the playoffs year after year, we get **** all from the draft lottery too. 1. Chicago Blackhawks 2. Philadelphia Flyers 3. Phoenix Coyotes 4. Los Angeles Kings 5. Washington Capitals 6. Edmonton Oilers 7. Columbus Blue Jackets 8. Boston Bruins 9. St. Louis Blues 10. Florida Panthers 11. Carolina Hurricanes 12. Montreal Canadiens 13. Toronto Maple Leafs 14. Colorado Avalanche Source: http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app/?service=page&a...rticleid=298754 I mean, even though Edmonton ended up with 20 points less than the Leafs, the effect is the same: no playoffs. Except.. now the Oilers will get some serious future talent while the Leafs will be scraping the bottom of the barrel again.

It rocks. Well worth the money.

Judging by the drama queen you usually are, that probably means your TV remote ran out of batteries or something.

I just know that the only games where I really care about high fps numbers are racing games. If a racing game suddenly dips in fps, I always end up a smoking wreckage in the ditch. I hate when that happens.

The Company That Just Wouldn't Quit: http://uk.theinquirer.net/?article=38716 Die-shrink (130nm -> 80 nm), cheaper models, more different slot options (I have a few spare PCI-e..). So far I think the entire Ageia company has been living off of Bokishi's purchase as he was probably the only one who bought the thing. In the entire world. Seriously. I'll probably end up buying one myself when they come down in price. Under $100 and I'll get one.

Unfortunately, I can't remember what its name was, but it was so good I don't think I ever bothered to change it after that. Unless I forget something. I just remember getting a lot of different suits later and none of them matching the one I already had. Oh, and I can't check the name either since I deleted all my old save games before applying the patch.. ( ) Edit: I looked it up: it was called SSP-99M (Green Spacesuit). -
I saw Snow Cake last night. Awesome movie. How is it possible that Alan Rickman has yet not received any Oscars? I think he's an unbelievably good actor. He needs so little to express so much. Sigourney Weaver plays her very difficult role well, not perfect but good enough. Carrie Ann Moss is as delicious as ever. Anyhow, I recommend this movie to anyone who likes to be thrown from laughter to tears within seconds.

Well, on my first playthrough I found the best armour I've found throughout the entire game in the Wild area (west of the bar). It was awesome for my newbie STALKER, but after a while I realized that I wasn't going to find anything better than it for the rest of the game and then it became a little.. sad. I mean, I was out looking for the "Family Weapon" and I get a suit that makes you almost invincible..? I haven't been able to find it on my second playthrough though. Now I feel like I suck -

No, I haven't. Would be fun to read it if you managed to jot it down. Another thing I'd really love is a complete list of weapons in the game. And a complete list of artifacts in the game. And a complete list of weapon upgrades (for every upgradeable weapon) in the game. ... I don't ask for much, do I? -
Actually, I think it's the other way around: they have problems finding helmets that can contain the immense power that is Kerry Fraser's hair without breaking.
