The Best RPG developers?
Objectively: 1. Bioware (Kind if undisputable) 2. Bethesda (No matter what I think of them, they're huge and popular) 3. Obsidian (I still feel we haven't seen the real potential from this team) 4. Piranha Bytes (They are so small and they always release buggy games..) 5. ? Horrible, I can't even think of a fifth company that focuses mainly on RPG's!

The Photography Thread
Haha, I love the look on that bird's face in the first picture. He looks so.. regal. I tried to take a picture of a huge bug I saw crawling over the road last night. The problem was that I was carrying two bags and a laptop at the time and my camera was in the inside pocket of my jacket. By the time I had dropped everything and gotten the camera out, the little bugger had run into the darkness (it was late evening). It was too bad, it could have been an excellent subject for a macro training shot. Fast little bugger too.

My exercise regime
Hmm. That kind of resembles my running experiences. First I run at max speed for a few minutes (while old ladies with canes casually stroll by me. Damn those turbo-charged old ladies!!), then I turn purple and have to stop. By then I've started attracting a crowd and there's always some local hero that steps forward to resuscitate me. I try to explain to them that I'm not in fact dying, but it usually ends up with me running into the woods to hide with an angry mob of too helpful people following me. When the crowd disperses I sneak home with a only slightly bruised dignity to show for it. A truly liberating experience.

I'm a fan of erotic photography too. The problem is convincing the girls of my artistic purposes

8600s are out now
A not so kind review of the 8600GT: "Now has the 8600 GT carried on the success of the 6600 GT and 7600 GT graphics cards? Not at all, the 8600 GT is a joke in my opinion and does not deserve to be part of the x600 GT series." http://www.legionhardware.com/document.php?id=637&p=0

Question from fans -- How well did NWN2 end up selling?
I bought two copies. I never thought about that until now. I certainly did my part! Especially since it was for a game that I didn't enjoy as much as I had hoped I would.. I should get the Alien RPG for free

How was the next day?
Today I'm planning to eat lunch with my cousin, sitting by the stream that flows through Uppsala. My cousin's been in Budapest, Hungary over the weekend and I want to hear all the juicy details from the trip. Apparently all the guys were ugly there but they all had super hot girlfriends. Imagine that!

What are you playing now?
I'm slowly working my way through the Redding mines, killing wanamingos with my shotgun. Not exactly the best part of the game.

Official Fallout Forums!
You mean almost as pointless as having a forum for a Fallout RPG that is in pre-production and is coming out in 2009?

Question from fans -- How well did NWN2 end up selling?
I'm sure they're allowed to tell us. Not so long ago, JoWood Productions sent out a press release stating that the sales figures for Gothic 3 had surpassed 500,000 copies. That's very good for an unknown European niche franchise. That means half a million people got to know the Gothic series through the weakest link in the chain. It worries me

I used to have Xfire but it sucked so I forgot about it. I ought to be able to re-install it and use my old mkreku login though. I'll try that tonight after work.

DirectX 10 in WIndows XP
"The current preview allows you to run a number of examples from the DirectX SDK on Windows XP. They're not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but we want to whet your appetite. We hope to release builds in the coming months progressing from demos to fully functional games." Source: http://www.winbeta.org/comments.php?shownews=7005 Microsoft said it was impossible and that Windows Vista was absolutely needed for it. We'll see.

How was the next day?
I've spent my day working and trying to convince my girlfriend that we need a PSP (or a DS Lite) for when we fly to Australia. Not only does the actual flying take 20+ hours, we're supposed to drive around the continent in a car! WE NEEDS IT!! So far no luck. Although.. I've made her an addict of the Puzzle Quest Demo and explained to her that in order to play the full game she has to have a PSP or DS..

Official Fallout Forums!
Saw this little video linked on the Bethesda forum. Never saw it before. Troika's post-apocalyptic game engine was looking pretty good already..

I got so fired up from flaming away at the Bethesda boards that I've gone and re-installed Fallout 2 again. It's still fun and it makes my heart ache for a new adventure in the same (or similar) setting. I really hope Bethesda can come through.- Movies You Have Seen Lately
I watched Conan the Barbarian the other night. Horribly good.- How was the next day?
I went to buy a pair of new jeans today, but they were sold out. Who knew that Wrangler Sharkey, size 30 (waist)/34 (leg) was so popular?! At least I brought my camera and took some less talented shots. One day I'm going to take a picture so good I'll actually dare post it on this photography site I've found. So far I'm a member without anything to show- My exercise regime
I usually get so relaxed when I am at the gym that I fall asleep between sets. It's kind of embarrassing.- Obsidianites unite!
Crap, these different world times are confusing. I seem to be rather late for the party. - What are you playing now?
