Well.. Considering that the average European has to pay $850-900+ for a Playstation 3.. What do you think?
-
Wow, that's crap. Too bad they don't mention any numbers as to how many fewer games the EU version will play. And most importantly, which games are being axed? I want my God of War 1 & 2, Okami, Final Fantasy XII, Rogue Galaxy, Dragon Quest 8, Burnout 3, Singstar bundles and so on to remain intact!

Apparently the Wing Commander Arena is pretty far into development, as Gamespot has had a chance to see it already. "While the single-player game serves as a good introduction to the action, you'll likely spend most of your time in Arena's online multiplayer modes." Boo! You know.. everything east of Finland is Russia to me. Actually.. some parts of Finland are probably Russian too, now that I think about it. -
Second loss in a row now! Come on, Leafs, feel the emergency! You're on the brink of the play-offs, it's war! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

I applied but I was not chosen. It doesn't bother me too much though, it was only the multiplayer parts they were (are?) beta testing. And I can't believe they bothered to implement multiplayer but they didn't make a co-op mode! ARGH, STUPID RUSSIANS! -

Oh crap, I'm hyped to hell about this game already. That awesome french video REALLY didn't help me get back on earth either! I shouldn't have watched it!! AAIIEEH! One thing that annoys me about this game is what those french dudes were discussing. You don't level up in the ordinary way in this game, using experience points and all that crap. The way you level up is by finding new weapons and equipment, which are pretty scarce. That's also one of the key design choices I've made for my own dream project too!! I can't believe these Russian guys stole my fabulous idea Still, it will be cool to see if it actually works in a game. The dangerous thing about such a "leveling" system is that if you find too good a weapon too early, you'll be too powerful too early and you'll feel like you've stagnated if you never find anything better than that weapon again. That happened to me in Silent Storm early on and it really takes away a lot of the fun in a game. Game balance really is vital. Also, there has to be a plethora of highly different weapons for this idea to work properly. Anyhow, the delay was announced back in January so it's not really new news. Only a month to go! -
Yes, it is Armed Assault. It was released in Sweden only a couple of days ago. And it's NOT awesome. It's buggy as hell, it's so unforgivingly difficult that you just want to cry and yet it lures you in to play it with its huge and wonderful world. I'm playing on normal difficulty and ran into this night mission where I was supposed to take out four armoured vehicles (that's there the picture is from). They dropped me off a boat a few hundred meters north of the enemy camp. Naturally I ran up the back of a hill to get a better view, but I made sure to crawl the few meters where I would be visible for people like Superman. When I was around 250 meters from the camp, crawling in complete darkness through waist high grass, they suddenly open fire on me. I just hear someone go full auto quarter of a kilometer ahead of me in the dark and a split second later I'm dead from two bullets hitting me. I have a scope on my rifle. There's no way in hell I would be able to hit someone even with the scope from that distance (bullets follow realistic ballistic rules and you have to take into account objects moving and wind direction and stuff like that..) but these guys somehow saw me through the darkness, through the grass and, standing up, they manage to hit me dead on with automatic fire?! It's stuff like that that makes the game unbearable to play. Oh, and the fact that I did finish that mission and was supposed to get picked up by boat. I swam out to the pick-up place and waited. Then I see my buddies sitting in a tiny boat a few hundred meters out in the water.. and they're heading in the wrong direction! I think I lay in the water for 15-20 minutes waiting for that damn boat, but they headed out to sea never to be seen again. I had to restart the horribly difficult mission again. By the way, I've only managed to finish that mission in an.. uh.. unconventional way.

Actually, yes, it can physically harm your monitor. If your monitor is a CRT. I don't know what happens on a LCD.

Woah, I found out about another game I'm looking forward to today! Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is coming to the PC! Great news! The first Mercenaries was an awesome game, but I just can't play those types of games properly with a gamepad (I have it on my Playstation 2). Let's hope the sequel as good as the first one.

I actually have no idea what kind of weapon that is, but I do know that the scope you're seeing is an Aimpoint, made in G

You need to lower your gamma settings, Lucian.

Apparently EA are reviving their old franchise. No news on developer or what kind of game it is, but at least it's there. I think. Too bad it's EA or else I'd be more enthusiastic about this. I'd love another quality Elite type of game. Freelancer just didn't appeal to me.. Source: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=73318

Henrik Zetterberg is on a nice little tear right now.. And I remember the Detroit fans whining about his salary when they signed him last summer. "He has never had more than 60 points, why does he need that much money?!". Everyone who saw him take Timr

I'm waiting, but it's not really bad news. Just remember how "cool" Vista is and how many DirectX 10 games have launched so far, and you'll understand what I mean.. Besides, I recently bought a trip to Australia for almost $2000.. I need to save up some cash

Oh yeah, sorry about that. Natural instinct when I'm sitting in a car and I see a Finn.. Being Swedish and all that.

Do you prefer the Fantasy genre for CRPG's ?
mkreku replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
I was thinking about the mutants in Wasteland/Fallout. No super powers! -
I also read that they're about to release a DirectX 10 patch for Company of Heroes.. *winkwinknudgenudge*

mkreku replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Actually, now that I think about it.. It doesn't really have to be post-apocalyptic. But I want a game world where there's no magic or anything "supernatural". Mutants are fine, even though it's impossible in reality, because it is at least based on a notion of science. I absolutely love when the weapons in a game are weapons I recognize in real life. I love my Glock's, AK-47's, RPG's and stuff like that. One of the reasons (together with the excellent setting) that made Wasteland the perfect game for me. -
Win the shots 44 to 21. Lose the game 0 to 3. Horrible.

I want more post apocalyptic games. I want to puke on the generic D&D crap by now. -
It's Gothic 3. Edit: And where the hell is the delete button nowadays?
