What the hell? You live like next door to me! SCARY.

Yeah, just like Fallout 3 should never have been made either. You just never learn anything, huh?

I'm not really educated in the field of external DVD-drives, but I do know that we bought one of these for the company I worked for: http://plextor.com/english/products/px-610u.html It's very slick, silent and portable. But a bit expensive. No idea what it costs today.

I preordered GTAIV from Spelbutiken.se instead of my usual online retailer (Webhallen.se), and it turns out it's a Danish company! That means they don't actually give a crap about release dates or anything non-beer-like like that. So instead of sending it to me so it arrives at the day of release, I just got an email saying, "We've just finished out thirtyseventh beer today.. oh, and I think we shipped your copy of GTAIV too. It will probably be there sometime next week, depending on how many beers the postman had today". Sure, the prices are low, but the service is Danish (read: lousy)! TAKE THAT, ROSBJERG AND GORTH! You guys really shouldn't even be talking about bugs until you've been a fan of the Gothic series for a few years.. :/

I'm OK with hockey players talking crap to each other.. But to do it in front of a TV camera? I don't know. I remember one play-off here in Sweden when they interviewed Sweden's dumbest player (Jonatan Hedberg) and in a live broadcast he said something like, "We pee'd on them!" ("Vi pissade p

Just make sure your case is well ventilated and you won't even notice it. My Sapphire fan is relatively silent and my case fans make sure the heat stays out of the rest of the components. I actually warm my feet behind my 4870 though!

What if it's Piranha Bytes then? :D

It's a very sweet Christmas drink that's served smoking hot and sometimes with raisins and/or some kind of nuts in it. Also, it's usually mixed with obscene amounts of alcohol to make people drunk without them realizing it. It's really good at hiding the alcohol flavour.

No more D&D. No more Electron. Enough. Now let's concentrate on Alpha Protocol and Aliens RPG! :D

Yeah, well.. JoWood outsourced the development of this expansion to an Indian company called Trine Games. Not the best sign to start with. Apparently they've wrecked an already crappy engine, tried to make new quests in the exact same world that Gothic 3's story plays out in, added ridiculous prerendered Bollywood-style cutscenes and failed to remove stuff from Gothic 3 (that are now laying everywhere, unusable). So.. It's basically an added layer of semi-broken quest scripts on top of a semi-broken game, made by Indian people with a very poor grasp of English and NO grasp of what made Gothic so popular with the fans in the first place. Combine that with a few thousand new bugs plus the confusion of having old quest stuff everywhere and you've got a success on your hands :D I was hoping they'd be able to pull of something playable at least, but apparently not. Not even I am buying this expansion. One down (wayyy down), two to go (Ancaria: Gothic 4 and Risen). Let's hope at least one of them is good!

Nvidia uses ONE driver package for ALL their graphics cards, no matter if you have one graphics card or two (or more) in a SLI setup: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us This is the reason why it's so easy. Just download their latest driver, follow the instructions and you're done.

Young guys can learn a thing or two from Sundin. I wish he'd come back for two more seasons. By then we'd maybe have a natural leader and captain in the team. Right now we don't. The best teams are always the ones that manage to find that delicate balance between young and experienced.
-
By the end of the game he'll rival Fidel Castro.

There is nothing complicated about SLI if you don't build the rig yourself (and not even then, if you know what you're doing). All it means is that the computer can have TWO graphics cards that cooperate for more performance in games. In your case SLI is not an issue since you have one graphics card. But it makes it possible for you to easily upgrade your computer later, if you wish to get more performance out of it: just add another card.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=3733906 Not good news, if it's true. I thought the Leafs started the season OK, but they've sucked bigtime for a while now. Not much hope for a change to that if Sundin decides to play somewhere else. The Leafs is a young team now (yes, it's true!) and desperately needs a leader and a goalscorer.

That setup gets my complete approval.

Brian Burke signs on for the Leafs for six years: http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=3730783 I think this will be a good thing for the Leafs. Just too bad we probably won't see the effects of his work until earliest next season.

No matter how we look at it, it's still a long way to go. And I have nothing to play now that Fallout 3 is out of my system.

I wish they would copy the sound design from STALKER. Not much music at all, that is. I really hope the music is at least VERY toned down when I am on a stealth mission. Radio channels is also a great idea (see Fallout 3) as you can switch them around or turn them off at will. By the way, I absolutely loved the guys playing guitar around the campfires in STALKER. I know I keep harping on about it, but that was such a genius move by the developers.. How often in a game do you stop playing and just enjoy standing around and listen to the surroundings? Very seldom for me!

It's on Gametrailers in HD too! http://www.gametrailers.com/player/43180.html I noticed one thing that I don't like. When Thorton hits a security guard with his fists in one scene, there's a small cloud of blood coming out from the impact. I don't like that at all. Why not make it white instead? Like when a boxer is covered in sweat and is hit with a really solid blow and the sweat from his head forms this little cloud around him for a split second? It just doesn't look right with blood coming out of people from every little right hook..
