Still having a blast. I finally did a few missions in the main quest line. Yes, the inner city quests/areas are probably the weak point of the game. I have much more fun just wandering the wasteland than running around in cramped sewers. Anyhow.. You guys need to build the Railway gun! Not only does it say a happy little "Choo-choo" when you fire it, it nails stuff to the walls :D I ran into an ant problem. I think I'm up to 7 bobbleheads.. or 8. Not sure.

Yeah, different tune now, huh? You only spent like 12 months whining and crying about this game you'd never played. Damn you idiots annoy me. But I am the one under moderation, not you. Yeah, shut up moderators. We need a moderator free day, let us say what we want to say for once.

I found out that cars could blow up the second I stepped on a trap that was rigged to a car standing near a bus. The explosion was so huge my poor lifeless body was flying for surely 30 seconds after I was killed I really like the traps I've found in this game! One trap was just a bunch of grenades hanging from a string. Naturally, I never noticed it until my head hit it and the three grenades blew it straight off! Yes, I had to reload.. But it was cool! Never seen that kind of trap before.

The big speed difference from DDR3 will come when the X58 motherboards come. I think they allow three channels of DDR3. Or so I imagine.

Yes. I haven't actually used it (since I have like 3 Str and no points in unarmed or melee) but I noticed it looks cool and sounds like a moped I finally found my first 'coloured' bobblehead (so now I know what bonus they give)! Up to six now. But damn are they difficult to find..
-
Nope. I've also found two of them (but probably not the same two as you have). One was found in a shack far out in the wilderness. I wouldn't be able to return there again. They seem to be VERY randomly placed.

I am still playing Fallout 3. It's early on, but I haven't had this strong urge to go back to the game whenever I am not playing since.. Gothic 2! It's a good sign. Let's hope the main story (which I haven't even begun yet!) doesn't destroy the game somehow. Right now it's absolutely fantastic. Wandering the wasteland, just taking in the scenery and fighting the different enemies is awesome. There's so much to see and so far nothing seems randomly placed! They seem to have really worked their butts off filling the wasteland with stuff for us explorer types to find. I love it! I am up to five bobbleheads now. 15 to go!

Spoiler tags, please. Don't worry about it. If you follow her directions, you won't find a thing

Yeah. I'm not touching the main quest yet. I only entered Megaton at the very beginning and from there on it's been all exploring for me. I'm having a blast just running around in the wasteland looking at things. Four bobbleheads now. I also found a unique (I think?) weapon: I really should get back to the main quest soon though. I need to find that dog everyone's talking about.

I must say I agree with Arkan on this. Why even use bloom when all it does it make things look like they're smeared in glowing vaseline? Anyhow: I'm up to three bobbleheads now! I'm usually not too fond of collectibles in games (except for platform games and such), but I must say I really enjoy finding these extremely rare bobbleheads. Who would have imagined that a collectible item would work in a serious RPG? Not me! Oh, and to those who say the game is too easy, wait until you run into one of these: Granted, I am low level still (only got the game yesterday), but my combat shotgun barely scratched him. And he only had to hit me twice with that post of his for me to be a goner. And he's fast! Sorry about the crappy picture of the Behemoth, by the way. I kind of panicked trying to find the screenshot button
-
Yeah. Like he's done the first hundred times you played that game. OCD much?
-
Damn, this made me laugh out loud. I would LOVE to watch you play this game, Bok.

You know what would be fun? To go through the old Fallout 3 threads on this board and see who were sure to not buy this because it was Fallout in name only and Oblivion with guns, and Bethesda was the most evil company on Earth for messing with such a beloved franchise and on and on and on AND ON AND ON AND ON ad nauseam.
-
Oh no, you didn't! You cast the Summon incoherent, rambling fanboi spell by typing that! (aka. Volourn)

One review mentioned how he critically hit some rabid dog from above with a melee weapon, and the carcass bounced off the ground. That sounded pretty cool to me.

Yes, of course I did. You give one example where negotiations failed. I'd bet in 99.99% of the times there's a problem between nations, negotiations DO SUCCEED. So instead of avoiding the question, please tell us all what your brilliant example was meant to prove.
-
So you give one example of where negotiations was a mistake and that's supposed to somehow prove that you should never negotiate, just go to war at once? Seriously, not even you can be this daft. Please explain what your one example is trying to show.

But imagine if you were the first to implement real pain in your game. The franchise rights alone will make you rich beyond your wildest dreams. An electro shocking pubic ring for whenever you're getting shot in the game!? SOLD
-
Gee, I'm glad there are no stalkers on this board. JEALOUS MUCH? Yes. Please, please let me borrow the home-made ninja outfit and the nightvision goggles!
-
Just remove the goddamn word filter already and let us say what we REALLY mean.
-
Placed a pre-order today. I've been reading the official reviews and Jags.. uh.. review lines and I'm pretty sure this is a game I will enjoy. Bring it on!!
-
I thought I was the only one who bought this!

"Terrorism is the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion. There is no internationally agreed definition of terrorism. Most common definitions of terrorism include only those acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants." So who are the terrorists again? Go USA.

To ease the wait for Fallout 3: "Practically nobody bought the Fallout games. Lifetime sales in the UK, for instance, barely topped 50,000 units for the pair of them. Commercially, they were utterly disastrous." Source: Eurogamer's Restrospective Fallout Article I really had no idea. I don't think I know anyone who plays computer games who hasn't played Fallout and/or Fallout 2..
