  1. But Rekyl is a cool sounding name in Swedish at least..
  2. Yeah, popularity is always a good indicator of the quality of something. Just like Britney Spears is the better artist because she sells more records.
  3. In Sweden, he's considered to be to the right of the "moderats", which is about as much right wing you can be in Sweden without resorting to nazi or other very questionable parties. That should tell you something about how left wing Sweden really is :D But Obama is still considered to be a hero in Sweden and the best choice of president the USA has ever made. We'll see about that, but I must admit that even I have high hopes for this guy. I've seen a lot of interviews with him and he seems very intelligent, verbal and reasonable.
  4. That's really cool! Another thing I missed.
  5. Nvidia has dropped the ball on their chipsets. They run hotter than Intel, they are more expensive than Intel and the 7X0 generation has not lived up to expectations at all, with most board manufacturers having massive BIOS problems. Don't believe me? Check out this review (for example, there are plenty others) and read the very first line in it: "Although the past 3-4 months have seen plenty of verbal abuse thrown towards NVIDIA developed chipsets..." Source: http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3450&p=1 Also note that the X48 chipsets (Intel) are in the lead in almost all the performance tests.. And the X58 boards are just about to be introduced. It is 70% more expensive, it's not much cooler (where did you get this from? It's ~3-5 degrees Celsius cooler!) but it's a bit faster than the 4850. But at that price, it really should be competing with the 4870.. which it can't. And you continue to harp on about ATI's drivers.. Have you actually ever owned an ATI GPU? Seriously? THERE ARE NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH ATI'S DRIVERS THAN WITH NVIDIA'S. It's a long gone myth, just like the myth that Nforce chipsets are somehow superior. Feel free to prove me wrong with actual facts, not something taken from your own backside.
  6. Ok, so I only have a 250 GB and a 500 GB (I do not RAID!). But even when I've installed Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Mass Effect, The Witcher and so on and so forth.. I still have like 450 GB free on the 500 and 240 GB on the 250! What do you use 3 TB of storage space for? What am I missing here?
  7. I have no idea. Personally I use the Sunbeam Tuniq Tower 120. It's gigantic but is considered to be one of the best coolers available. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/d...q-tower120.html
  8. I won't vote yet (since I haven't finished Fallout 3), but I played Fallout 2, Fallout and Fallout 3 in that order (not counting Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel..). I like Fallout 2 better than Fallout, mostly because I played it first and it was tough going 'back' in time to Fallout after that. Fallout 2 is in the lead right now, mainly because of the sheer size of it. There are so many quests, so many characters, so many funny situations, so much to see and do and re-do over and over again.. And I don't mind the Easter eggs and I enjoyed the humour. Fallout 3 is a great game, but I don't think it will be able to topple Fallout 2. We'll see. I've already begun planning my second playthrough at least..
  9. Yeah, this is a part I also love. When you shoot the weapon out of their hands, they look down at their own hands in surprise before doing something incredibly silly, like try to run to the nearest corpse to pick up another weapon.. which often happens to be a bat. Still, it's fun to watch them react to what you do to them! I
  10. Remember, KotOR 2 was their first title with a new team. It wasn't only LucasArts fault that they failed to meet expectations, it was their own inexperience. Now, after two full games and one expansion, I'd assume they're all more comfortable in their roles and work better as a team. I would be very surprised to see them release another KotOR 2 again. I still have high hopes for Alpha Protocol. Actually even more so now after having played Fallout 3. Do you remember reading the Fallout 3 previews and how they kept mentioning drinking from toilets and the Fatman and stuff? I thought it sounded horrible! Now I'm playing the game and it works. It really works. So I'm going to try to keep an open mind when it comes to infinite ammo, no looting from bodies and other design decision I haven't had a chance to try yet. I will not vote (the voting options are flawed) but I will say this: I think Alpha Protocol will be the best game Obsidian Entertainment has released so far, when it comes out.
  11. Huh? That's true of any game, no matter the perspective. Not true. I played Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on a friend's PS3 a while ago and that game made me just stop and admire the "protagonists" animations as he stumbled, tripped and slid his way across the jungles. They're using some sort of procedural calculations to fit together a bundle of different animation sets and it looks absolutely fantastic in motion. I'm hoping the Obsidian developers have played Uncharted and taken notice. I wouldn't count on it though, it's probably horribly complex.
  12. Wait.. what was this thread about again? All I remember is boobs
  13. So.. how's Jade Empire 2 coming along?
  14. Ok, this you should put spoiler tags on. Having an entirely open landscape is both a blessing and a curse. In this case it's a curse, because the character you mention is actually part of a really cool quest that starts miles away (and you can find if you explore thoroughly when doing stuff for the main quest). But as with everything else in Fallout 3, you can accidentally wander and find him there beforehand. The X-assault rifle is one of the best weapons I've found in the game. I actually found my father while exploring the wasteland! I had to reload because up until that point I hadn't done a single thing on the main quest and that would have meant I'd missed the entire story! Anyhow, number 12 and it's finally the Agility bobblehead: Directions:
  15. Congratulations USA! 91% of the Swedes think Obama will make a great president :D
  16. Damn, your backside holds a lot of 'opinion'. You must have a really large backside.
  17. The E8500 (@ 3.16 GHz) is the exact same chip as the E8400 (@ 3.00 GHz), only factory clocked slightly differently. One quick tweak in the BIOS of your motherboard and you'll have your E8400 at the same or faster clock than the E8500. You can even easily overlock it past the E8600 (@ 3.33 GHz), which is much more expensive. And this is on stock cooling! Although you will probably want to replace the stock cooling sooner or later anyhow since it's not exactly good (loud).
  18. Since you're a Dane, this will be easy: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400: 1325:-, http://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=344772 RAM: Corsair TWIN2X 4GB 6400: 495:-, http://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=338074 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45C: 1099:-, http://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=361826 Total sum: 2919:- The CPU is the absolute best value for money right now, no question. The RAM is a good quality brand and reasonably fast. It's also overclock friendly. The motherboard might take some explaining.. My reasoning behind this choice is that it supports both DDR2 and DDR3 (not at the same time) so when/if you feel you want to upgrade in the future, you'll be able to. But you have an Nvidia GPU and this is an Intel chipset based motherboard (with two PCI-E x16 slots), which might seem a little odd. But you wrote that you're going to upgrade your GPU and when you do that, only the Intel chipsets support Crossfire. Right now ATI makes the best bang for your buck when it comes to GPU's so when you upgrade, I'd suggest you go with ATI. The problem is if you're going to wait for a year or so before upgrading the GPU, as noone knows what will happen then. Maybe Nvidia will retake the performance/buck ratio crown? By the way, I would seriously recommend that you upgrade your GPU as quickly as possible. The 7600GT was pretty weak even when it was released and the ATI Radeon 4850 is an absolute steal when you look at the performance you get for your money. The best part is that you can add 50-90% more GPU power to this setup by adding a second card later. This is the reason I chose that particular motherboard. Check it out: http://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=365213 Just skip three beers and one brothel visit one week and you can afford it :D
  19. I don't like needles.
  20. Yes! I love combing the wastes and just explore whatever's out there! I live for these types of games! I must say, this game is rising quickly on my All Time Games Rankings ©. Let's see where it ends up. I've unfortunately reached level 20 now so I'm not getting any more xp and I have barely begun the main quest! Anyhow, rack up number 11: For the lazy: Not to spoil anything or so, but.. My latest inventions: Do I get an "Ugliest Weapon Ever" award now? This next one is a bit obscure: Yes, I built it. No, I didn't steal it from Freddy Krueger. Ps.
  21. Who was it that said Bethesda has a garden gnome fetish? I agree. Anyhow, I found bobblehead number 10: For those interested in spoiling the bobblehead hunt for themselves:
  22. I think I could TRY to disclose where I found seven of them. But I was dumb enough to NOT record where I found the first two Basically I'm wandering the wasteland and just checking out whatever I find. Perception bobblehead: Charisma bobblehead: I think the others have already been mentioned in this thread.. It annoys me that I have no clue where I found the melee and barter bobbleheads. I found those early and in very obscure places.. One was lying on a floor in some sort of sewer in the middle of nowhere! Oh, and I have basically given up hope of ever finding all the Keller family tapes. I've found three now, but the last one I found was on the overhead map! It wasn't even in something marked on the map, just lying on a desk in one of the millions of broken houses that scatter the wasteland! I couldn't find my way back there even if I tried! I took a screenshot of the map where I found it, but.. it really doesn't say much.
  23. I've bought everything there is to buy for my house and I'm still swimming in money. What I do is concentrate on a few select weapons (silenced pistol, combat shotgun, sniper rifle) and sell everything else. I also make sure to pick up all the non-weight stuff (ammo, darts, pills), since you can carry obscene amounts of that stuff. In Megaton there's a guy in Use him. Found my ninth bobblehead: WARNING!! NEXT PICTURE MIGHT BE SPOILERISH!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Guess who this is? Ps. We really should be able to put spoiler tags around pictures too. I've tried, it doesn't work. But I've seen it work on other boards, where pressing a spoiler button "folds out" the picture from hiding.
  24. By the way, I went out to a party last night. When I got back home I decided to play a little Fallout 3 before going to bed. I thought it went pretty well. This morning when I woke up and loaded the last savegame, all my sniper ammo was gone Lesson learnt: Never Fallout drunk.

5 goal third period to beat the Rangers. The Leafs aren't quite as sucky as expected. Yet.
