  1. I made Pennywise my facebook portrait months ago, before the TERROR OF THE CLOWNS, people have been whinging at me to change it...this picture will make a splendid post
  2. Hahahahahahaha. No. TES6(5? I have no idea) and Fo5 = insta buy for most of em folks. You're almost certainly right. Though I did say 'chance', and people are definitely more sceptical of Bethesda lately.
  3. Ha, so true. The hype train ensured that Bethesda made a mint on that game...though I've no doubt people will be more sceptical next time so there is a chance for them to learn a lesson, time will tell. I really feel that Fallout 4 would have benefited by dropping the RPG pretense. Without its bull**** 'choices' and hideously nonsensical plot contrivances they could have at least focused on making a half decent story to match the half decent gameplay.
  4. Cheap cash grab if you ask me...did you ask me?
  5. I'm afraid so, many of us never stopped playing it. And the modding scene is as vibrant as it was 5 years ago, definite classic despite it's obvious failings in other areas. I never subscribed to the notion that a game can be good because a few hundred modders made it so, let alone classic. But to each their own I suppose. I get what you're saying but modders are just a symptom of Skyrim's popularity, they aren't the cause. Seems to me that we have plenty of other modern classics coming out lately, it's just that Skyrim hit a great balance of freedom, gameplay and story.

  7. Jim Trinca succinctly lays out exactly why Fallout 4 falls far short of being a classic. What Skyrim had that Fallout 4 lost
  8. Mostly it's the enhanced lighting from Fallout 4, which does look lovely in some shots, washed out and weird in others. Also they've added more foliage and incidental detail, higher res textures in places that needed them.
  9. I'd be excited for the Skyrim remaster if I hadn't spent most of this year playing the original edition. At this point the remaster is just a giant spanner in the works of my modded install
  10. In my experience you'll never find something that tastes identical to a cigarette. Still, some get close, and if you can step outside the paradigm of tobacco flavours you'll eventually find a taste you love.
  11. Nicotine strength is really important, too low and you end up constantly taking hits. Too high and you get severe headaches and nausea.
  12. Level design and gunplay improved, everything else declined
  13. GTA Online runs pretty smoothly for me, loading times are tolerable from a decent SSD. On the subject of RDR2 for PC, they'd be completely insane if they didn't
  14. Still more acceptable than rejection
  15. Today I got totally bummed out that two girls I'm interested in hadn't been in touch all week. One turned up at my house and we watched movies all night and the other sent me a message. Self confidence marginally boosted
  16. Tried GTA Online for the first time with a few friends, five hours of irredeemable atrocity, loved it
  17. Yeah the Dual Shocks have a half decent d-pad. I got this cos I was tired of fighting with my old 360 pad
  18. Got myself an impressively accurate SNES pad clone and spent the night blasting some old games.
  19. And this is a problem because... ? A guarantied way to make crafting worse is to make it real-time. I don't want to leave my computer on for ten years to get a master crafted sword. It's a problem for me, because it kills the fun and makes the whole game feel silly and contrived. And the answer is simple: Get rid of it! This is the Todd Howard approach to troublesome mechanics
  20. "Angelina Jolie wants to end her marriage to Brad Pitt, and the internet has responded with a single voice - and the voice in their head is Jennifer Aniston's."
