Watched Band of Brothers over the past few days, now making up my mind between watching Machete or going to bed.

I said it's your aim to annoy people, not my fault you suck at it. I'm sorry, but you just can't measure up to Volo. Oh, then you are just simply mistaken.

You have a funny definition of 'once', seeing how you constantly bitch. And getting my panties in a bunch? You're the guy who's trying to play some sort of righteous crusader against the unjust. Curious how I never stated an opinion over Skyrim, but you seem to know what I like more than I do. Now you're confusing me, as far as I can tell, I've said absolutely nothing to you. Unless you and Tale are the same person, in which case we have an issue. As for your "points". It's funny, I came to this forum because I enjoy games made by Obsidian. I wasn't aware at the time that fellating Bethesda and CDProjekt and putting down Bioware were requisite to being a member of the community. In fact, looking at the games made by said studios, it seems a rather absurd dichotomy to me. As for annoying everybody... I dunno, I get along surprisingly well with a lot of people here.

This is funny to me because that's actually how I would rank the worst food I've eaten. In Finland they can't even make a hamburger taste good, and in England everything was so dripping with fat it was almost inedible. You went to Hesburger, didn't you?

I'm sorry that people feel to objectify their subjective preferences so that I'm a **** for liking x and y, even when I don't even think that one is better than the other. Kind of like I don''t think that Natalie Portman is better than Chris Evans, but I'd still only like to have sex with her. I don't recall anyone pretending their preference was objective. What I have noted is that you have descended into mockery (the sonic boom/falcon punch comment). It's sort of like "hey, have I mentioned that I think dragon shouts are silly today?" We got it, man. Let's move on. Let us let go. And when I do it - once - it's a major event you get your panties in a bunch over? I can't be so paranoid as to imagine that either I or the game are getting singled out for a special treatment? But yeah, I broke my rule about not posting in threads about games that don't interest me, I won't do it again. Too bad the rule doesn't apply to other people.

And dragon romance. Well, hopefully it'll have Falcon Punches and Sonic Booms to go with Dragon Shouts for y'all. Kind of regret posting that, also sad to note how much you guys irritate me these days.

The problem with that system is that no users get to play the game until after it's released, plus the fact that gamers tend to get *massively* unbalanced about personal dislikes during the first few weeks of a game's launch I do agree about IMDB though, the user score has rarely steered me wrong. *edit* I should add that gamers also get insanely unhinged over things they really like. I agree, I can't really explain how "Dragon shouts" can completely turn me off a game, but they still did.

To try to to be non-spoileric, I think that the team (erroneously) started to think that Price is the hero of the trilogy - a guy you only get to control in a brief flashback in MW1, instead of the guy you start out as (and probably play most missions as, but I didn't count). IMO this is the most blatant case of making the player simply a bit part player, beating even BLOP's notorious one-shot opening level.
-
I don't think it's new data, we certainly went over it in leadership & management last year, and it wasn't treated as a new revelation even then.
-
Not quoting your spoiler (), but one thing I found kind of odd was that Ramirez (the other guy who gets a lot of air time in MW2) is completely absent from MW3.
-
No, you don't even see him as far as I can tell.

DA2 was released in a climate where any failure by Bioware would be pounced on a by a bloodthirsty pack (who was really primed for it by the marketing), and they happily obliged the pack by leaving in a few absolutely glaring flaws (though I, personally, considered them to be very minor ones). It's not the punchline a lot of people have made of it, in fact it's not even Bioware's worst game. Whether it's worth the "full price" or not... well, a lot of you guys seem to be more frugal with you gaming than I am.

This quite reflects my sentiments, as well. Rooting for you.

He wasn't that far from the truth, certainly on the second count. Though we have some pretty nice soups. Must be the hostile climate.

Well, I blinked and almost missed the MW3 SP campaign. It took me six hours, including two breaks to make a burger (I got hungry again!), and is the first COD campaing that I've played that actually felt too short. Guess I've usually started later in the evening and managed to stretch it out over two days.
-
I can only comment on the SP campaign front, where I found MW3 to be better. . Probably mostly due to the tighter controls, and neither of them is that memorable, frankly. I'll remember the farm exfil mission from MW1 a lot longer than either of these games.

How about you add some ****ing spoiler tags to your auto-backpatting.
-
To quote one of my favourite movies (Peacemaker): "Who are the fascists now?!"
-
AFAIK, not after the latest patch. (He was definitely wonky in the initial release, as were the Awakening end choices).
-
The it doesn't matter what you chose and who you killed in the last game, and even though you imported a save from that game we're still going to ignore it. That's a stretch, the game is aware of quite a few decisions and reflects the appropriately, but Leliana's magic rebirth is pretty egregious.

Well the feedback on the leak was that the shooting mechanics were greatly improved, at least on the console side, so it looks like that's something they've paid attention to. It's funny, considering that the "openness" was a fairly big element in BG1 - I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility, even if the tech they've been using lately generally creates levels that are the antithesis of open. I feel I also should praise Obsidian here, FONV is the only open world game I've really enjoyed playing (and, well Vice City, but a lot less so).

I've heard a lot of good things about etymotics over the years, and I believe you can actually get custom-moulded earplugs (just for your ears) for them as well. Personally use Koss Porta Pros on the road and own a sweet pair of Sennheiser HD 580s that I rarely use these days due to full HT setup and good sound isolation. :D

It's entirely possible (or likely, even) that those are default choices and that any branching is not implemented properly in the beta. If everything were working properly it wouldn't be a beta, after all. I haven't seen any vids (stuck on dial up until friday...) but my presumption was that the trial at the beginning of ME3 would be used to set up those switches for a new player, ie you'd get a bunch of "Why did you allow one of your companions to die" type questions. There's definitely going to be a PS3 ME2 style "interactive comic" for setting the requisite flags. Yes. Any (further) Leliana style retcons would be pretty disastrous for their rep, I agree.
