  1. Everything is easy for Brujah. You can even kill the garou.
  2. That actually looks fun.
  3. I'm not well versed enough in English to judge Tolkien's writing. I think though that he writes better than me.
  4. Yet when they recycled it in DA2, I didn't hear anybody like it. Because it wasn't very well recycled? Raising money in Ch2 in BG2 -> Thieves Guild, Umar Hills, Windspear Hills, Planar Sphere, Unseeing Eye, Planar Prison, Trademeet Raising money in Ch2 in DA2 -> X identical fetch/kill quests in X identical looking dungeons
  5. FO3's [intelligence] lines just got beaten. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/59694319...540572E71158BD/ http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/59694319...FD8562CB8E247E/
  6. I couldn't get past her walrus-like buck teeth. It was the opposite for me.
  7. Especially since they liked to jump on the Prince's back and drink his blood.
  8. what is that? some new-fangled kid's invention, I'll bet. Yeah, it's not like HoMM VI is going to get released in a few months.
  9. And people were complaining about Mothership Zeta.
  10. Crazy Russians with their thousand-and-one turn-based games. The few games that make it into western market due to 1C are just the tip of the iceberg. Most recently there was Disciples 3: Renaissance.
  11. It's not a terrible game by any means, but it could be argued it's a terrible PoP game.
  12. Considering Obsidian'd receive the Creation Engine and all assets on a silver platter like with FO:NV, why wouldn't they focus on writing and story? It wouldn't be impossible for them to develop a spin-off adventure for Elder Scrolls while Bethesda is developing Fallout 4 after Skyrim is released. Although in this case it's more likely that Arkane instead would be hired - they're an internal studio + they have good experience with (pseudo) open-world games and are excellent at level design.
  13. Considering Bethesda's publishing history (WET, Rogue Warrior, Brink, Hunted, et al.) they might actually be brave/stupid enough to go for Alpha Protocol 2.
  14. I never played the 2008 PoP reboot, but the Sands of Time trilogy I played to death. I'd say Two Thrones is the best overall. Sands of Time has too simplistic combat, Warrior Within has great combat but also those annoying Dahaka chases and terrible boss fights. Not to mention the music, art direction and atmosphere wasn't very PoP-like. Two Thrones kinda combines the best of the first two games, but has the negative of throwing in the "Awesome Button", i.e. speed-kills.
  15. How... anti-climactic?
  16. More like half Greek epics, half Caliban upon Setebos IN SPACE.
  17. He pulled off a similar trick in Ilium/Olympos.
  18. Harvey Smith is a former Air Force guy that was stationed somewhere in Germany. I think he can beat up the average civilian (and game designer), provided he had some combat training.
  19. Bah, I always exorcized her.
  20. Supernatural powers? Murdered Empress? I wouldn't be surprised if Arkane again will put a chick inside the protagonist's head as some (incredibly annoying) talking quest compass.
  21. I didn't realize this game had a 18th century setting. That does indeed quite raise my interest.
  22. It's rather Eddings who writes the same story over and over again, with the same characters included. Feist at least managed to craft an interesting world in Riftwar (two, actually) with one being medieval low-magic (magic being very rare) and the other one more the typical high fantasy with fantastical creatures and what not. The clash between these two worlds in Riftwar (first series) was pretty interesting. He had the political intrigue down pretty good as well. Another thing Feist generally does really well is describing large scale battles, especially sieges. It's all downhill after Riftwar, though, where the series quickly devolves into parody territory. I managed to trudge through Serpentwar but stopped after that.
