  1. Same in Oblivion. Sort of, +10 player level isn't the same as a hardcoded level 20. Oblivion was a lot more fun playing with OOO when you could be walkign down a road at level 2 and suddenly come face to face with a minotaur king. Ooops. Suddenly running into a high-level creature out of the blue is ridiculous, it just means you die and reload. It's pointless. There should at least be a warning that there are high-level creatures around, like in Gothic 1/2 and FO:NV, where there are deathclaws not far from the starting area.
  2. There's also Meet the Devs thread at Bethsoft forums, similar to the one that New Vegas had, for those that are interested.
  3. I usually only notice on screenshots or in games with many cutscenes, like most recent BioWare games.
  4. So I'm guessing it's no coincidence that Jensen (or whatever his name is) looks like Solid Snake.
  5. Is that confirmed? I suspected it when , but it seemed to be trying to be very vague. Which makes me suspect that either I was reading too much into it or maybe the Courier isn't supposed to realize it, even if the player is supposed to.
  6. It's kinda disappointing that at the end of Dead Money
  7. Would it be that unlikely for Shepard to save the galaxy by opening a wormhole to the WH40k universe and sending in the Space Marines?
  8. It's a bit unrealistic to expect Witcher 2 graphics in an open-world game, like those guys are doing.
  9. Screw that, they better still make a sequel because 1) it was the first shooter I bought in years and 2) the ridiculous cliffhanger ending.
  10. FemShep 1, because she's Winona Ryder. Most likely won't get picked though, because of blondie.
  11. Yeah, that pic is totally not shopped. EDIT: check here at Amazon.
  12. Will Lonesome Road be the very last DLC?
  13. It's hardcore RPG, man. Deal with it.
  14. I actually started replaying it as well. :shakefist:
  15. I guess that would explain the epic gnolls.
  16. They likely picked Norway because security there would be lax compared to other European countries currently engaged in Libya and/or Afghanistan (and who've already been under direct or indirect terrorist threat). Frankly, it's a miracle nothing has happened yet in Brussels.
  17. Well, it does the same amount of damage as the Legendary Deathclaw, but has more than twice its health. I blasted it with the Brush gun while Veronica used her Gauss rifle. It went down quickly. Personally I thought was best.
  18. I might have to purchase Beyond Divinity from GoG, since my old CD version still has the Starforce DRM (which Vista doesn't like) and although Larian's patch removes the DRM, it still needs to be installed first.
  19. Dialogue & voice-acting in the beginning is indeed cringe-worthy. I clicked through it as fast as possible. I also dislike fighting respawning lobotomites and nightstalkers. The main quest so far seems a mish-mash of "Superhuman Gambit" quest in FO3 and Point Lookout. Best part of the DLC is the references to Dead Money and Lonesome Road.
  20. With every random schmuck being transhuman, it should at least be harder for Solid Snake to beat up random women in the street.
  21. It looks disturbingly like Half-Life 2.
