  1. Why hack Bethesda? I thought everyone liked them.
  2. It's certainly the best non-FPS WWII-themed game out there, along with Velvet Assassin. Bit over-the-top at times, but never excessively so. Also, excellent use of colour and great music. RIP Pandemic.
  3. Fallout 3 changed gameplay, but at least moved the setting to the East Coast. Dungeon Siege 3 takes place in exactly the same setting as the first game (Kingdom of Ehb) and even re-uses some locations, along with changing gameplay. I can imagine the butthurt is even greater this time.
  4. Why so angry? Did you get kicked from your guild yesterday?
  5. Just give me my WSAD for movement and mouse for camera control and I'm happy. I can't think of any recent ARPG on PC that doesn't do this, but Dungeon Siege 3. I really don't get it... even Daggerdale, another console port, has this.
  6. In the prologue and chapter 1, Witcher 2 combat is about as good as Arcania. Enemies swing weapons around like idiots -> Geralt dodges and hits them in a back. In the chapters after that, it's about as good as Dragon Age 2. It just boils down to activating Quen, spamming the left/right mousebutton until the adrenaline bar is full, and pushing the Awesome X button. Against bosses that use your own cheesy tactics against you, either spam bombs or use daggers. There's not much to like, really. It was more entertaining in the first game, where new animations would unlock the more you leveled up your styles. The first game also managed to capture the superhuman speed and reflexes that witchers are supposed to have, whereas in the secodn game Geralt moves around as a geriatric.
  7. Can't wait for Jim Sterling's review.
  8. I finished Honest Hearts. Pretty good, only complaint is I went in there at level ~34 but before it ended I reached the level cap. Are the two coming DLCs going to increase the level cap to 50? I miss the ka-ching! sound, not to mention still have quite some unfinished quests in the Mojave hanging.
  9. So why are you defending Dungeon Siege 3 again? (also, New Vegas true to original BIS games in gameplay and style? Are you feeling alright?)
  10. It was even worse in Mass Effect. Some developers simply cannot into Unreal Engine.
  11. I wish companies would put more traps like that in their games and then bust everyone comes out and whines about the trap "bug" Rocksteady did the same with Arkham Asylum, IIRC.
  12. Yes, you'll be hearing Jeyne Kassynder around 5,913,713 more times. Enjoy.
  13. Action games with RPG elements are the new RPGs.
  14. Maybe it's the multi-companion mod, but both Cass and EDI came along to Zion. I'm not sure whether I should push Indian boy off a cliff or not. He already said his thunder lizard line ten times.
  15. Just started Honest Hearts. Are you supposed to be able to take along your followers to Zion? Also during that first "ambush" I killed everyone myself, but still somehow everyone in the caravan died. I'm guessing this is scripted?
  16. I'm still not sure about this game. It looks like an offline free-to-play MMO.
  17. Demon's Souls/Dark Souls is more hardcore than Witcher 2.
  18. I already had an inkling from watching a few videos that the archer would be more fun to play. Does the AI controlled melee character survive long enough, though?
  19. Risen 2 @E3 (parrot confirmed)
  20. That's genuinely scary, obsidian boss fights tend to be cheap and badly balanced even when they don't have epicness quota to fulfill. That one character can defeat the witch boss with little trouble while the other one dies constantly is already a bad sign. I guess then one should play as Katarina and max out Chain Shot.
  21. For a moment there I thought that was Orlando Bloom doing the interview.
