  1. Please tell me you're kidding.
  2. If lasting fanbase translates to "a handful of nerds on a messageboard", then DS certainly has one.
  3. I'm continuing my replay of Two Worlds 2 anyway. I forgot how fun and addictive the game is, once you get going (well, at least the first two chapters).
  4. Cherchez La Femme Whiskey Rose Weapon Handling
  5. There were some Knights of Solamnia in BG2, in the Planar Sphere... you could even send them back to Krynn in the Mage stronghold quest. That was a nice touch from BioWare... not to mention Jan Jansen making a reference to Spelljammer at least once.
  6. I tried replaying Two Worlds 2, but got bored quickly and quit after the tutorial island. So I went back for another Divinity 2 run.
  7. Yeah, kudos on putting in a feature that should've been in the game from the very beginning. Quit whining and just be thankful. Many developers produce completely garbage games and don't fix them hardly at all, and then the fixes are also garbage. IE. Brink and Splash Damage. Quality is besides the issue. I doubt whether Brink and Splash Damage have unmappable keys. Congratulating a developer of PC games for putting keymapping in their games, is like congratulating a car manufacturer for putting wheels on their cars... or congratulating a brewer for putting beer in bottles.
  8. Tell me more about the references to DS2 characters.
  9. I regret having wasted money on Witcher 2 (or at least, having bought it on release). Graphic extravaganza aside (though it doesn't look much better than the first game on my rig), it's the most disappointing game of the year so far. Terrible inventory, terrible combat, butchered alchemy, and only five monster types in the entire game (harpies, nekkers, rotfiends, bullvores, gargoyles). Story and CHOICE AND CONSEQUENCE!!!111! are admittedly nice, until you realize that aside from one totally different chapter, you're as much on rails as any BioWare game. It's as much mediocre as DA2 is. I doubt I'll ever replay it again.
  10. I would've preferred Huntress over Catwoman, but it'll have to do.
  11. As stated before, the Codex has the best Let's Plays on the internets, and of lesser known and in some cases, extremely obscure, games at that. Also,
  12. How did you interpret the ending?
  13. I doubt any BioWare dev even heard of any Divinity game. It's too low on the radar.
  14. There is a God.
  15. It's an awesome game between the Aleroth dungeons and Yuthul Gor/Black Ring fortress, which are incredibly tedious dungeon crawls. Sewers beneath Rivertown and Elona's dungeon are pretty boring as well. Game doesn't shine in combat, but in the incredibly detailed world, many colourful NPCs, witty dialogue and quirky humour... basically like the second game. Also, child killing.
  16. Yeah, kudos on putting in a feature that should've been in the game from the very beginning.
  17. I liked the Survivalist, but I had to look it up on the wiki how to reach his final resting place.
  18. I'm replaying Alice and Hunted: Demon's Forge with NG+.
  19. The only GTA-like game I like is the Saboteur, due to its WWII-setting and over-the-top "Dirty Dozen" vibe.

  21. Kidding right? Call me when you have seen High Noon.
  22. I finished Alice: Madness Returns. According to the game, it took me a bit more than 16 hours. I like it better than the first game. Art direction and level design are fantastic (you won't find a more creative and beautiful game released this year), voice-over and story are as good as the first game. Tone & atmosphere isn't as dark as the first game (understandably, considering Alice mopped up Wonderland pretty thoroughly in the first game), only right before the end it becomes really dark, perhaps even shockingly so. The ending is ambiguous enough that it may warrant another sequel. Music is not as memorable as the first game from what I remember, although I really like the main theme (very Arcanum like). Combat is better, there aren't as many enemies and weapons as in the first game, but this time around you need some strategy to beat them. It can also be pretty challenging when facing groups of different enemy types (although when close to death, there is a limited win-button in the form of Hysteria, when Alice will go nuts for a short time, becoming invulnerable and doing massive damage). Overall, 8.5/10. The game also has PhysX and 3D Vision options, which I imagine make the game look even more impressive than it is, but I couldn't benefit from this due to my computer sucking balls.
