Mass Effect 3
Funny, according to the link posted earlier Patrick Weekes had to fight hard to have those ending conversations with past and present party members included. It was the only good part of the entire ending mission.

Books
The Butlerian Jihad and Prelude to Dune books are... okay. Not very well written, but at least they add something to the Dune universe and are not complete cash-ins like all other books they churned out. The sequels to Chapterhouse: Dune that actually wrap up the main series are abysmal.

Future of the Dragon Age franchise
So, Bhaalspawn Godchild protagonist? (would be bitter, considering I sent away Morrigan in all my playthroughs and even would've happily stabbed that annoying bitch if I had bothered to purchase Witch Hunt DLC. R00fles!)

Mass Effect 3
Even if Shepard did get indoctrinated after being zapped by Object Rho during Arrival DLC and the Reapers being unable to ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL of her because Shepard's mind is so remarkably strong (and the Cipher), it's pretty lame how the Reapers merely contend with invading her dreams with the images of some stupid and annoying little kid. Not to mention Cerberus managed to figure out how to control them in turn. What was the crap Sovereign blurted out in ME1 again? "Beyond your comprehension, yadda yadda?". What a pathetic bag of wind. BioWare better churn out this true ending DLC quickly because I'm about to finish my Paragon playthrough and move on.

Future of the Dragon Age franchise
FO3 was just one game. In case of ME3, the outrage is so great because it's the ending to a trilogy that was always about feel-good space opera and overcoming against all odds... and the actual ending just throws everything out of the window. I can't really think of another game series that ends on such a sour note. Maybe Broken Sword 4.

Mass Effect 3
It's not exactly difficult to end the series on a positive note, they should just remove all mass relays being destroyed along with the Reapers, remove the part where the Normandy crashes on Planet Random, and maybe add a few ending slides. The Star Child and the dream sequences are something that should be purged from memory.

The poor fools that banged Ashley in ME1 and remained faithful (lol) to her in ME2 must be pissed. She was turned into a drunken Zaeed. At least in combat she's at least as good as Garrus, and her "But you were with Cerberus!!!! I hate you!!!" shtick is pretty funny.

Sovereign's shields were down after Shepard beat Kermit. Even a Reaper is fair game without shields. Otherwise conventional weaponry can't even scratch Reaper shields. In ME3 it's mentioned 3 dreadnoughts with thanix cannon (based on reverse engineered Reaper tech) can destroy a Reaper dreadnought. Reaper destroyers land on planets, which weakens their shields, making it possible to take them down with two shots from the Cain or orbital strikes.

There was Return to Krondor and Betrayal at Antara. And as much as I love BaK I doubt you can make a remake work as modern wrpg. It simply had no place for the choice and customization that (supposedly) are essential today. Betrayal in Antara takes place in another world, Return to Krondor takes place in Midkemia but is not a true sequel either. The true BaK sequel was actually in development, called "Thief of Dreams", continuing the story of Owyn. Sierra wanted to make quick money, canceled this project and went for Betrayal in Antara (a good game, but hardly a BaK). Neal Hallford and John Cutter left long before Betrayal in Antara was out. As for Return to Krondor, same story. Sierra wanting to make a quick buck and rushed the game out of the door. Halford and Cutter actually worked as consultants for this game, but hardly any of their material was even used. So basically, even in the "golden era of video games" publishers screwed developers over.
