As expected and yet surprisingly well done
I replayed it and even when I made the choice 'true to the Legion' (handing her over to the Queen), she was still murdered. Any place where I can watch all endings? Exile seems like a very bad idea. I think what bothers me the most is that I never found any great loot for Katarina that truly complemented my playstyle. Even the unique items available for purchase at the very end were virtually useless.

Finished the game. The entire ending section kinda ruined it for me. If the game had ended at the Spire, I would've been perfectly happy, but the way things turned out with Kassynder infuriated me. As if having to endure her self-righteous prattling (in a snotty British high-born voice, to boot), the most annoying battle taunts ever and her running away 30 times weren't enough, somehow the game needed to end with a boring combat slog followed by a gimmicky bossfight. I turned the difficulty to easy to get it over with quickly. I don't know how anyone would expect the player to leave that bitch alive after all the crap she pulled at the end.

Princess Leia dancing is rather lame, unfortunately.

I finished up Stonebridge, it was quite enjoyable all the way through. Reinhart is a pretty powerful guy, I don't know if I accidentally power built him, but he never lost any health save for the final boss fight. Not even those electrical robots could hurt him.

I like Gabriel Knight, but I've always been more of a Broken Sword fanboy. Broken Sword is basically a light-hearted version of Gabriel Knight.

Apparently this was filmed in Utah (where the girl is apparently from). Pretty fitting landscape.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Yeah I think there is a huge base of fans of this setting and the video games. There is a small update: http://www.kickstart...n-returns/posts It's more or less WOW! Um we are working fast to answer all your questions but we do have one game in the final phases that we need to finish then it's full steam on Shadowrun. I've never played the video games but I LOVE THIS SETTING (the PnP books). <3 <3 It's a pity though that nobody seems to give a crap about Jane Jensen's project. And surprising, for such a big name in video game history. Maybe if it was about Gabriel Knight 4 it would've caused as much a bomb as Shadowrun, but I somehow doubt it.

The Forgotten Sands was the final nail in the Prince's coffin. At this point I just want more Beyond good & evil. I might play Assassin's Creed though when I'm done with Dungeon Siege 3. 9,99

"I've heard parts of their story before, but never the whole. The old Emperor had been murdered, and the nation fell apart. Everywhere they looked, the founders saw war. So they traveled from place to place, gathering allies, and seeking brave men and women to build a new Legion. I guided them, as well as I could. And I judged the hearts of all those who offered to join them." This is what I don't really get. I thought Zaramoth (an immortal Uthgard giant) had always been Emperor of the Empire of Stars, until the people rose up against his tyranny (led by Azunai). The 10th Legion backed out of the conflict and fled to Ehb.- As expected and yet surprisingly well done
Stonebridge sure changed a lot in the 150 (?) years since DS1. Pretty nice steampunkish feel about it. It reminds me of Fable 3's Bowerstone.- Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

There shouldn't be a sequel. Just pretend the final five minutes never happened. The game had a perfect bittersweet ending, until Princie decided to doom the entire world to save the girl he flirted with a couple of times. The Prince also lost the girl at the end of Sands of Time (even twice!), but he manned up.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
