Bethseda was nearly bankrupted after Daggerfall and the flops Redguard and Battlespire, so when they were bought by Zenimax they went for the moolah and launched Elder Scrolls on console. That's why Morrowind is such a huge decline after Daggerfall in every way except arguably for unique setting and lore, although Kirkbride's rambling isn't so attractive and mysterious anymore after ten years. The true Bethseda died after Daggerfall when Lefay and Peterson left and Howard and Rolston became project leaders.

Main character should be Hanar for revolutionary tentacle romance scenes.

Agent 47 is even subtler than Ezio Auditore.

An epic love story.. told only in long, lingering stares. Now I'm reminded of Kindred: the Embraced.

Indeed there are many excellent titles on PS and PS2, but I can't think of any worthwhile ones on either Xbox, except for that crazy Nazi vampire TRPG and that Japanese exclusive mech game from From Software.

The problem with Assassin's creed series is that Ubisoft is just bad at storytelling. They tried to rip-off Franco-Belgian comic book series Histoire secrète/Crusade which have similar theme and grand conspiracy storylines, and failed utterly. Even their most lauded games, Sands of Time and Beyond good and evil, fall apart completely at the end.

It's likely going to feature the Commonwealth/Institute (MIT) and an uprising of androids against humans. Main character might even turn out an android.

Actually by licensing the Infinity Engine, BioWare actually helped developing certain Black Isle arrpeegees. R00fles!

Finished Assassin's creed relevations. The over-the-top James Bond "catch the villain" sequence just before the end managed to elevate the game above Assassin's creed 2 in quality. The supernatural nonsense wasn't as bad as I had expected either. Assassin's creed: the Patriot will have to drop very low in price before I ever touch it, though.
