  1. I would enter the telephone number of my favourite pizza place, y'know to try and help them get a bit more custom.
  2. Just green lettering. But a system where you could filter them would be cool. They do it on Blizzard.
  3. No, they have cake attached to their foreheads, but it tends to go soggy.
  4. Do you think killing adults is not evil? Do you support making most NPCs invincible in game? If not, you're sick! In my opinion they should never let us kill anyone - the death penalty is wrong. Certainly, they shouldn't let us kill people who commit minor crimes such as thieves in any case. The game will be so much better when most people are invincible. I also hope they don't allow us to steal any items from the game world, as that is obviously wrong. But yes, since killing NPCs in a video game is sick and comparable to wanting to do it in real life, this is also why I think people who enjoy horror movies are sick as they clearly want to see people in real life ripped apart by monsters and probably, let's be honest, are going to end up being serial killers themselves. Go back to the Daily Mail website please. Thanks in advance. Hey, straw-manning on only your third post! And an attempted insult! D-
  5. @ OP: LOL. Best trolling I've seen in ages. Kudos to you sir.
  6. A DM could also control the players, and thus fix the issue. The idea that DMs can magically fill in the gaps in designs is just an excuse for shoddy, old school design. It also places a lot of pressure on them, and forces players to endure endless DM fiat based situations. Healing surges are far from perfect, but they're a lot better than the old school approach of basically having an argument about it- an argument only the DM can win. And none of that is really notable either way since there is no DM in a single player crpg. And in a single player CRPG, boy howdy would I love to see the end of healing potion spam. Wow. You'd hate me as DM. Rule Zero, baby. Rule Zero.
  7. The Codex needs to call an Unholy Truce, like dwarves hugging elves, and join us on this mighty endeavour. Spell cool-downs aren't important enough to stop us advancing together, as one! *faints*
  8. ^ STOP IT! You will summon spirits of yore that NONE OF US can control!
  9. Which is why we are all happy to throw our money at Obz now. They *know* that our hopes for a decent game are tied up with all that stuff.
  10. Those of us on the forums at the time of the Black Hound have scars on our backs.
  11. We can't handle the truth
  12. In the nicest possible way, Sawyer needs to be water-boarded so we can get to the truth. If, indeed, we can handle the truth.
  13. I can only support bards if they stop being a pansy, jack of all trades bull sh*t class that sings at the back. Hardcore rogue rapper skald? Hell yeah. Horrible dirge-singing necro-bard? Hell yeah. Divine zealot hymn-casting fire and brimstone bard? Hell yeah. Soul-stealing, power-channelling, manipulative uber-bard? Hell yeah.
  14. Can we trust BG3 to folks who make evil half orc sex scenarios? No.
  15. Yes, in fact having looked at the product it really is a case of "lend me your watch and I'll tell you the time." Unless you want to shag an evil half-orc, my advice is.... 1. Buy it off GOG for pennes 2. D/L and install loads of really easy to use mods 3. Enjoy 150 hours + of gaming
  16. I shall, eight posts in and full of it.
  17. ^ A fair point. If they can find a balance between resting and spam (neither being good) then they will have squared the circle. I once posted about running a pen & paper game in, I think, 2001 - 2002. The players wanted to rest after every battle. They had all gotten into PnP via Baldur's Gate. It was telling.
