Yes, any game that allows me to fall in love with a small castle is clearly carved from a block of 22 carat win.

^ I am also baffled by Sawyer's explanation. But am prepared to give him benefit of doubt due to early stage of dev cycle.

Your vision of the 2.7 Million stretch goal
Monte Carlo replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I would like an assassin-type class discrete from the rogue. Like a 1E AD&D fighter / assassin.

What would make you pledge more?
is this like the thing were womens lives are worth more than mens because they can only produce 1-2 offspring at a time while it only takes one man to basically repopulate a species if there are enough women around? or is it something else? because, aside from cultural and religious indoctrination I don't see the inherint value of a child's life being any greater than say a young adult or even an old person. and again, its a video game...please don't tell me you're one of those tiresome types like those politicians who "believe" video games lead to violence in real life. ...goddamn, when did people become such p*ssies... Grow up. Srsly. Do you have kids. And please, please don't call me a **** It's astonishing that the moderators made me remove my chainmail bikini sig but are happy for posts like this. FFS.

Your vision of the 2.7 Million stretch goal
Monte Carlo replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)This is a good point, I kind of feel the same. This is why I think that being specific might be the key... If we get this much money we will put in this NPC (name and role and cool features), this dungeon level (with these features / theme /bosses), this much extra content (hours / length).

[Merged] George Ziets as as the 2.8 million stretch goal
When you say George Z as a stretch goal, does that mean we all get a piece of him? Can I have his right hand pinkie please? I'm sure this sort of thing is illegal, though.

My fwiw kickstarter economic analysis regarding the rift between the traditionalists and evolutionists
I think you are confused. This is what happened with 2nd ED. Upset fans, ones who never went back to D&D, TSR burrying... no, no, wait - that was 3rd. WotC buys TSR, changes the game horribly, D&D fans not happy and never come back... no, wait, it was 4th... no,no, wait... it's 5th. This happens each addition. New company or not. I find it extremely funny, the 3E fans, who say how WotC ruined it with 4. The same company. Which, in it's previous edition, drastically changed the game. Just admit - you like 3E. You didn't want it to change from that. Everything else is hyperbolic "my team vs. there team" nonsense. I should have known better than to get into this "discussion." It's as bad as most other topics on here, like Vancian. I'm so tired of the snide comments and insults. Carry on the 4E bashing to your hearts content. Dude, stop being so thin-skinned. Please. FWIW I loved 3E. I embraced the changes happily, so did a lot of people. Now, I remember OD&D to 1E AD&D. That *was* bloody

My fwiw kickstarter economic analysis regarding the rift between the traditionalists and evolutionists
They are going back to 3rd so it will be worse. Are they? I'm hazy on the details I thought it was a sort of mix-and-match deal. Could you elaborate please?

What would make you pledge more?
People who go on about the option to be able to kill kids in order for a computer game to be fully immersive require professional medical assistance. It's disgusting.
