  1. The only Fallout game that needs Steam is New Vegas. That's hardly "traditionally." :>
  2. Its never cool, no matter where you are on the ladder. You know, this always brings up one question in my: Why work there at all? If it is so bad and sucks, why doing it? It's not like one is forced to work as game dev in whatever position. Is someone standing behind your back with a baseball bat and as soon as you think about quitting, hammers it into your face? There was a video not a so long time ago. It was showing two robots that are talking about being a game dev- the smaller one was the youth who wanted to work there and the bigger one was the one who got a job already. So the small robot was yelling all the time how cool it would be and that he is so creative and whatever else and the bigger robot always told him how bad everything is. While the video was receptioned very well everywhere, because of it's truth, it questions me why the fuu the people don't switch their jobs if it is so damn bad.
  3. Gamedev stuff is only cool if you aren't one of the many who work at the bottom of the ladder.
  4. I don't really care about the faction mechanics in FNV nor do I think they are so super cool. What I personally think is the best thing in FNV is that everything makes sense and is explained in a logical way. Nothing is there for the lulz or sake of it, which is very important to me. The same goes to DS3, imo. I didn't found anything in the game so far that made me think "wait, what? Why the hell is *that* happening now?" Especially regarding motivations of npcs, the game is pretty detailed, I'd say.
  5. Yes, I felt the same. Better than other generic stuff, but not *that* good.
  6. This. I felt DS3 has a perfect lenght. I wouldn't want it to be longer and in the end I was quite happy that I've finally finished it. The lenght of the game really doesn't make it better or worse. After all, what worth is it to have a game that is 60 hours long, if you are annoyed by it after 20 hours. A game should always end short before it is getting tedious.
  7. lolz, I always wondered how I can use the third, defensive skills. Now I see that it's on blocking. Damn, either I've been blind at the beginning when the tutorial popups came or I don't know. Well, at least now I know for sure that you don't need them to finish the game.
  8. I don't think you can refund a steam game, can you? The devs are working on a patch, which might make it possible to assign keys.
  9. Yes, healing is "4" - in the beginning pretty worthless, but in the last 3/4 of the game, you will begin to love it. Funny though, around 1 hour before I've finished the game, I've found out that I can equip my companions with items. I'll guess if I would have known that before, some boss fights would have been a tad easier... Btw. I've also found the controls on pc to be pretty good. After I got used to it, I had no problems nonewhatsoever with them anymore. Sure, I would have liked to change some keys, like inventory to "i" or such, but beside this, I found it pretty usable and smooth. Even the camera controls did only annoyed me in hard boss fights, where I had to look around more or less fast.
  10. Just finished Dungeon Siege 3. Was nice and entertaining and I like the length of it too (dunno why everyone yells that it's too short). The ending was good and yay! for ending slides (which have been great too). Now going slowly back to Fallout 2, while waiting for OWB.
  11. Then I could as well just plug in a controller into my pc and be done with it. Easier and faster than fiddleing around with pc and tv 'n stuff first.
  12. Well, I mostly don't. Because of the above stated points.
  13. No. Trust me, 4 players is only annoying. Hell, even 3 is already a pain. Despite of having a really good tv, after approx 30 minutes of console gaming on the couch, I can't sit anymore and my eyes are burning. /Edit: Also playing while laying on back: Just not possible for me. I can't stand that for more than 5 minutes at max.
  14. Well, Bethesda PR, just like war, it never changes. Like I've said last week, I begin to doubt that OWB will come out this month. With Honest Hearts, it was released around 7 days after the trailer was posted. So it's still possible that we will see some OWB stuff at the beginning of next week.
  15. That prison thingy with antlions was one of the cool things in HL
  16. Wait, there will be more DLC?
  17. I tried some mp a few hours ago as well and yeah, with 4 players, it's a mess. I wouldn't mind a limited walk radius, if at least every player could have his own camera / view without group limitation.
  18. After playing the sp for a few hours now, I can understand that the mp feels meh if the camera works the same way and is used for two players. The actual possible walk-range seems to be very limited in this case.
  19. Why? It has flaws, but they don't make it a bad game. Besides, a lot other good games have flaws as well.
  20. A little bit, yes. At least a bit as if everyone should agree with you that it sucks. By the way, about stupid ai in DX: The game doesn't even have a *real* stealth system. If they would be a lot smarter, you couldn't really sneak through the locations. Therefore, I don't mind their simple ai.
  21. But they are killable in hardcore mode.
  22. Finally, the game is here. Now installing, then playing. :>
  23. Bah, I just hope the postman will bring me the game in the next 30 minutes.
