Did Treasure Isle too- was quite short. Found some of the legendary items too... which broke the weapon balance, imo. Got a sword with 100hp damage, which made any other sword totally useless. I wonder if this air temple dlc is worth it? Will probably check it out. Hope it won't be as short as the Treasure Isle is. /Edit: That air temple thingy can't be bought yet? That's lame.

Finished the game today. Have to say the ending was pretty lame. The water boss battle was so damn boring. No music, just the water noise and the monster rooarr while I am walking left and right, waiting for my attacks to recharge. I thought I'd fell asleep. Ending could have been better too. Even stuff like post-end gameplay would have been possible without much costs. Also the game is quite short. Steam says I played 24 hours (incuding loading times and stuff, that's not a lot)... And I did every quest and treasure stuff I could find. Makes me wonder what people who needed 40 hours for a first playthrough did different.

Well, Bethesda at least took quite some ideas from the FOBOS2 design documents.

So, internet, what is the general opinion of the game so far? Is it a big pile of shait or worth the (big pile of) money?

Tried some All Points Bulletin yesterday, as it is F2P now and you can't do much wrong with that.... And I fully understand why this game flopped.

I started playing now too. So far the beginning felt quite clunky, but it starts to get better now. I am around 3 hours in and on the island where I am apparently hunting Captain Crow. Technically, this game feels a lot inferior to the first Risen so far.

And that's exactly why they act so stupid.

I'll guess the ai is so stupid because of all the zombie critters. The more figures the engine has to calculate, the more power is needed and if I remember correct, that was a lot in Arma games.

Well, I'll guess they looked at the submited Kickstarter page and guess which project seem reasonable and which one does not (what else should they do? Maybe google the firm name, if available, and that's it). When it comes to Prosper... Well, looking at his threads, I am not at all surprised that he didn't got approved. I think nobody from us really is.

I am waiting for so many years... And now I am in doubts that it will ever get released.

Indeed. It took me many years until I realized that there aren't robots in the non-german game. It didn't lowered my joy with that game, though.

Really? I never noticed that stuff while playing. Sound was always fine for me. Though, I always play with subtitles on, so maybe that had an influence...

Working on my second map for Commandos right now. :> I am slowly learning how to workaround the bugs in the rough mapping tools.

You can download Arma2 Free and check it out. The graphics are worse and it's limited to a few missions, etc. but other than that it works like the full game.

I didn't even heard of Binary Domain till now. At least I don't remember that I've heard about it before.

The beginning was still fun. Wait for Meduna, it is just pain. Skipped most of the later stuff and walked around the enemies, so I can go and kill Deidranna fast. Now with the next patch, they are going to introduce sector inventory and stuff, but I really can't get me to play the game again anytime soon.

Here you can get the resolution hack. There are some graphic problems with the top icons, but that's hardly a deal. Other than that, it runs great. Though, had to re-learn all hotkeys again, because especially in the addon you really need the hotkeys for increased speed... Regarding game speed, if I remember correct, you can adjust that in the game settings. Really wish I could play the main game with the new items from the addon. After playing the addon, the main game feels so empty and meh, due to the lack of cigs, puppet-function, etc. etc.

Started playing a bit Commandos again, as I found out that there is a widescreen patch. Yay. It's funny how in the end of a mission, I always have a mountain of captured soldiers. :> (I never kill them if I don't really have to)

Don't have any and won't buy any. Next up is Risen 2 anyway, so Max Payne 3 has to wait till it get's cheaper.

I have not a single partition on my HDD which has more free space than 25GB. Probably won't be playing Max Payne 3 then for a while.
