Nope, no crashing with it yet. The open freeside looks pretty cool. I was scared that I might not like the change, but it does look really good. Not only because it is open now, but because of all the new NPCs added from the restoration mods. There are a lot more thugs now, NCR squatters, children, drug dealer, drunken people, etc. It feels a lot more alive now.

I was hoping to see some news about the new Carmageddon since the kickstarter was a success. But so far they are quite silent.

Damn, I've installed some of the content restoration mods. One readds all of the NPCs which got deleted through patches because of memory issues and now the powder ganger prison quest is damn hard for me. The NCR soldiers are getting killed very fast and I am not strong enough to kill more powder gangers in less time. Before, the soldiers always stormed in and killed everyone. But now they drop like flies. I think it also has something to do with the fact that some of the enemies have laser and plasma pistols now. I don't think that was the case before. Maybe JESawyer mod added them? No idea.

Damn you steam. Checking game integrity, turned out 1 file needs to be downloaded again... turns out it is the biggest one and now I am sitting here, waiting for the download to finish.

RE1 + Remake are the best RE games, imo. Everyone loves RE2 so much, but I can't feel the same. It just has more of everything... more zombies, more strange puzzles, more weapons, more action, a new laboratory, a new virus, etc. etc. but totally lacks the atmosphere and stuff from the first game. This pretty much was the beginning of the Resident Evil franchise decline already.

I only use VATS if the enemy is right in front of me and I have no chance to hit him regulary in time. Like a "last resort pause mode" or something. For everything that is further away than a few steps I just use iron sights (got crosshair disabled).

Heh, yeah. Many quests are like this. They feel huge when you start them, but as you get "deeper" into it... Like this one with the mercs(?). You do one simple job for them and they totally trust you and share all their secrets with you. This is just shait and made me stop playing the game.

Damn you guys, now I want to replay it again as well.

When I played Morrowind the last time, there must have been a bug. Everytime I rested for a few hours, some dark brotherhood dudes attacked me and I could kill him without problems. Then I looted all his stuff and got a truckton of money from it. When I arrived at the first bigger city, I was able to buy everything.

Skyrim feels more serious to me than Oblivion. This alone makes it better for me personally.

Use the energy ax to fight the scorpitrons. Even with really low melee skill you pwn them in seconds. In OWB you have to chose your weapons pretty much based on enemy type.

There are quite some websites around right now who give out free beta keys for MWO. You might want to try that. Though, keep in mind that the game is still in closed beta and very rough. Lots of stuff is still missing, etc.

I played WoT for a long time, but now I just can't do it anymore. I really hate the tank balance and matches are more luck than anything else. Playing in the MWO closed beta since the founders packs are available and so far I really like it- a lot more than WoT. The system is similar, but they approach it different.

I liked Postman too, but not the ending. At some point the movie becomes a huge american patriotism whatever house and this annoyed the hell out of me. The first 3/4 of the movie are fancy, though.

Heh, I had no problem with it, but it was a quite hard fight. Didn't knew you can make it swallow bombs. Maybe I should replay the game...

You just don't translate such names. It's as simple as that. But this is not the only problem I have with the translations. Some sentences are totally off or just plain wrong. But I don't want to transform this into a "FNV german translation sucks" thread. Just wanted to point out that in most cases it is better to simply play the original. Especially if you can read and understand english.

Nope, I don't think so. "Karmesinrote Karawanenkompanie", "Pulverbandit" etc. This just sucks. Especially the name changes / translations compared to Fo1/2 are annoying the hell out of me. Instead of trying to get it in line with the previous games, they did it all anew, which makes it stick out a lot (if you know the old games of course).
