Hotline Miami, Postal 2 and Deponia at the moment.

And they're still not going ot make it (if they started at 30 days and have 17k up from 9 days). I wonder if they're desperate enough to try for a third time with yet again halved goal.

Some people being unable to handle fiction and interpreting it as some sort of a halfass statement of social and political views is no cause for limiting artistic and narrative variety in entertainment. People really should leave these sort of politics out of it, and be concentrating their efforts on real life issues in places where it matters. A gay or a female joke, or uninclusiveness of a minority in a game is not going to burn the world (or the subjects of the joke). All these pompous efforts at political correctness in this industry of late seem just artificial chestbumping for self elevation over a nonissue.

After Reset Ripping off Fallout and being greedy. I'd want this to succeed, but even though it's early, it doesn't look very promising.

Wasteland; for the first time in about 20 years. And it is fun. Quirky at times, though, as I can't tell if some things (like uninteractable NPC's popping up) are bugs or features. But lighthearted fun nonetheless. The music tracks from Mark are an awesome addition.

I'd be all for that. I've been clamoring over an idea that someone should make an RPG that would take inspiration from the gameplay presentation of this game (obviously with the technical bells and whistles of today) accompanied with robust rules and intriguing writing; well ok, not completely combat free, but with abstracted (and avoidable) combat similiar to Wasteland.

It is still more fun than "press play and watch the avatar slay 20 rats one by one for the next 10 minutes"; at least you have something to do during your turns. But yeah, **** encounter design is ****.

Rambo the game gets a gameplaytrailer. I'm seriously unsure what this game is supposed to be. It looks very dated (almost like some sort of iOS game of yesteryear, yet still being made for PC and current consoles) and messy, it seems to play mostly like Operation Wolf spiced with cutscenes and probably QTE's, and... what is this? Looks more entertaining tha CoD, though. /smug

Stasis Kickstarter is live. I've got to say the setup for this game sounds very intriguing.

Do a barrell roll!

Yup. They've released the game to buy, but it looks like it's going to be a few hours before the servers are updated so you can actually download the sucker. Still, for £3 and change it's not bad. I'm not going to get any panties in a twist over it. Oh, it will open up eventually allright. I'm not that itchy for a rerun to get upset about it. Just seems a bit weird to me is all. Iirc, the same thing happened with Alpha Protocol's preorders (I remember waiting for quite some time for the game to get unlocked after its alleged release).

Now playing nothing. I would be playing DX:HR Directors Cut if Steam would let me. It's been several hours since EU release, and the related forums are flooding with people unable to install the game.

Considering all of Fallout 3's other troubles, the transition from ISO to FPP is (relatively) one of the smaller problems. Cutting down the mechanics (as opposed to adopting and enhancing) and streamlining the **** out of everything is the real problem.

How has that been? I'm feeling the need to play something old-school right now. I'm not very far, but it does feel positively oldschool. I like it. Combat is pretty fast for a turnbased game, and so far very satisfying. What rough edges it has, should be ironed out as early access progresses and provides the devs more feedback. I'd recommend giving it a shot.

That clip kills me everytime I watch it. The tune in the background is very fitting for what's happening in the screen. Top comment: "Thief 4: From the producers who played Dishonored"

Obsidian currently working on next-gen console title
Undecaf replied to funcroc's topic in Obsidian General
I'd certainly want to see that happen. Though I wouldn't mind an Obsidian TES spinoff either. That series, at least right now, is a grey ocean of neglected potential. -
M&MX:Legacy. After the patch the game looks and feels much better for reasons I can't really point out. I've no idea what else the patch did but the better barter screen and fixed some bugs, but it does feel better overall. Still tries to fry my GPU though.

Yeah, sure. Neither do I, personally. People need to be able to laugh at **** like that. It's just that that sort of attention stunt (picking sides and pointing fingers in a matter like that) is sure to always piss in someones face - which, I'm certain, they wouldn't really want to do. But meh.

I'm not sure if them trying to dabble with political issues of another country like that is a very good idea. Not that I'd care, but it does sound dubious.

If Obsidian kickstarts a space opera RPG, would you back it?
Undecaf replied to Arcoss's topic in Computer and Console
I'm not sure that a game about a virtually empty desert world would be worth playing, or even be considered "space opera". Come on. We could build lots of sandcastles, cook humans to drink their bodily fluids spiced with spice and build more sandcastles with blue eyes. We could even have a skill for it. But seriously, I don't think you are digging deep enough here. -
They are creating an interesting setup. If only the gameplay delivers; I've no idea what to expect, but hopefully something unlike Amnesia.

Tried out the open beta for Battlefield 4 since it's free and... it feels awful. Not particularly different from BF3 (which wasn't very good to begin with), it was - as usual - a confusing mess with everyone seemingly just flailing around and the usual 24/7 people buzzing around showcasing their leet killstreak skillz. Not unexpected. Not my cup of tea. Not something I'll bother with again.

It's not really something to kickstart, but if Obsidian ended up doing a "space opera", I'd love to see their take on Dune setting. -
There's also the whole Mass Effect series lumped as one, and you are questioning about Witcher 2?
