I am just saying that if Republicans want to make sure that we have no socialism in our nation we must get rid of all the socialistic aspects we already have.

Explain.. How can someone who has won in free votes, be a totalitarian scum??? When you have to take arms against a peaceful unarmed protest and use deadly force you have become totalitarian scum.

Given all the fearmongering the Republicans are spouting about socialism, lets see what happens if you remove all aspects of socialism in the United States. 1. No more public education. All schools would be privatized and would no longer get any government funds nor would any family get any funds to put their children in those schools. We would have vast hordes of uneducated running about, but those who can afford the $5,000 to $15,000 a year tuition schools would no doubt charge would have smaller class sizes. This would also remove all grants and student loans provided and covered by the government as well. 2. Emergency Services would be all privatized. Each person would need to cover his or her own security, no doubt increasing gun sales and armored vests, along with providing his or her own way to stop fires and getting themselves to a hospital. It would be like the old west, something any true gun eunthusiast would love. 3. The military would be disbanded because that is one of the biggest socialist institutions in our government. Government funded security, government funded healthcare, government funded housing, and so forth and so on. Can't have any of that. 4. Removal of all farm subsidies would be needed. If a mom and pop farm cannot maintain itself as a viable competitor to a corporate farm then that is its problem, right? Why should the government pay for their failures and while we are at it any regulations on corporate farms should be removed as well. Why get in the way of business when the environment is concerned. That's socialist talk. 5. Medicare, Social Security, and Welfare would be removed as would WIC and similar programs. If the elderly, women and children, are too poor to take care of themselves let them die. Right. To have the government provide anything for them would be socialism and we cannot have that. Add in the removal of any regulations on businesses and companies, and give absolutely no support and rights to the individual would be right up the Republicans wet dream. Lets remove all socialism in the USA!

Its just not one person. It is the the Islamic clerics that support him. It is the Iranian citizens who support him. It is the "elected" officials and military that supports him. I like to see all of them removed from any sort of power, not death but made powerless. Let the Iranians who oppose his side take the reigns of power, to instill a proper democracy and freedoms for all of Iran. That is the side I will be cheering for.

Only a naive idiot would believe in such a thing as paradise. Human beings, by their very nature, are vile, opportunistic, greedy, and violent. If there is such a paradise it would be destroyed by the presence of humans. There are few, very few, that transcends this norm but most are assassinated, ridiculed, and treated worse than dogs by the majority.

Chavez brutally attacks any opposition. He practices rampant censorship on any news media that questions his actions. He will no doubt rig elections to keep himself in power, then, I am betting he is going to stage a war with his neighbors to justify martial law to keep himself in power indefinitely til the "crisis" has passed. It is going down the road of a dictatorship, lead by Chavez and his idiot masses.

There is nothing wrong with socialistic democracies because they are still democracies. It is when they change from democracies to dictatorships, like Venezuela, or outright totalitarian and brutal, like China, or an oppressive theocracy pretending to be a democracy, like Iran, that I have a problem. Socialism and Capitalism are economic models, not forms of government.
