  1. I guess that's the difference between a 15 hour game and a 60 hour game. Or may be creativity has to be strictly rationed according to FCC regulations, who knows.
  2. But it's good to let people act like a jerk, sure beats enforced politeness. Agreed. No, it's impossible to have a serious discussion here without people immediately flaming and trolling. There's nothing wrong with politeness, enforced or not.
  3. It's a fact that Pakistan got its nuclear technology from China, and then proliferated it elsewhere.
  4. Here's the real game: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142405...3717438530.html Pakistan is just a bit player and a Chinese proxy.
  5. With the cell shaded style, I'm not sure HD will be much of a benefit.
  6. It's almost like you're not even trying to make sense. The only time I've seen anyone else mention a drone strike aclu think is O'Reilly. Do you even know yourself what you are writing?
  7. In my experience the Bio boards are very well moderated. Anyone acting like a jerk gets banned real fast, unlike here.
  8. The drone strike is an outrage! Has anyone informed the ACLU?
  9. This has some links: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/05/29...ape-landscapes/
  10. This is a load of gibberish that shows only a dim awareness of metaethics. Attempts to play semantic games to justify a weak position show up a fundamental lack of understanding of the terms employed. D- I didn't say anything about metaethics, whatever that is.
  11. Planescape Torment is out on GOG (posted with time delay).
  12. Oscar really is a tremendously talented artist : http://www.irontowerstudio.com/forum/index...pic,1701.0.html (pics at bottom of page)
  13. There's a difference between morality and ethics. Religion teaches you ethics, and they are taught in other ways as well. The difference between right and wrong is probably mostly instinctual, and to some extent is also learned in childhood from socialization.
  14. I don't really believe whatever happens in Pakistan/Afghanistan will have that much effect on India. India is on its way to becoming a world power, the other two will remain backwaters (and sources of all kinds of nastiness no doubt) for the forseeable future.
  15. I've said many times that law enforcement is a proper function of government, I'm not an anarchist.
  16. Their interest is in protecting their property, which is something the government has a duty to assist them with. And contrary to what was said in this thread, private entities can't shut down websites, the Justice Department would be able to do it (subject to judicial review) or a court order would have to be obtained. As far as You Tube, that situation has been resolved, there's no chance they'd get shut down. Read the bill again, which other organization or individual would have their property rights enforced like MPAA and RIAA? none. Which is why this bill should be pointed at, laughed at, and be burned up. If someone steals from me, I can go to the police and they have to take action. How is this any different?
  17. Unless you opinions aren't liked by the mods.
  18. Didn't the Swedish government once shut down a website because it had a cartoon of Mohammed on it? http://www.uta.fi/laitokset/politiikka/opi...TS1_Arter_5.pdf lol pressurized But that's OK, it's more important to be able to swear on any forum, that's true freedom of speech.

  20. It's killing the single player industry. And not agreeing with how something is priced doesn't give you the right to steal it.
  21. May be if they blocked the pirate websites, PC games would actually have a chance again.
  22. You can get it from Amazon for $17.
  23. I don't know that any would work, I was just guessing. And with the new card, there may not be an older version available, but generally they archive the old drivers on the Nvidia site. Edit: Anyway, I'm thinking downgrading to old drivers is kind of dangerous, you may never get the new ones to work right again. For example, I can never get the Nvidia control panel installed for some reason.
  24. OK, I'll double check. I seem to remember at one point I could set that resolution, but not lately.
  25. Which is their prerogative. That's right, a regular person can't understand the law, so obviously democracy is unworkable. We should just go ahead and install a wise Latina as a dictator. Just because a judge knows all the legal tricks doesn't mean he won't push his personal political agenda using the law as an excuse. The moral compass should be involved when passing laws, when interpreting law the judge should do his best to follow the law's intent. It's just like I thought, you don't really believe in the rule of law. Just remember, like it says in our courthouse, "where law ends, tyranny begins".
