  1. And no Final Cut Pro, I don't have a Mac. I'd pay for some good video software, but it'd need to be understandable for a noob.
  2. I'm looking for software that allows me to render multiple videos (not pictures) into a mosaic, much like this: Can enyone help me with this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gAuiQAXiCo...feature=related Incredible live show from an all-girl psychedelic band. I think I'm in love with the bass player. Was so looking forward to seeing them live this summer, but a horrible storm killed 5 people here on a festival, resulting in the cancellation of all shows.
  4. I remember doing the Cult of the Unseeing Eye almost right after Irenicus' dungeon on my very first playthrough, and getting my ass handed to me many many times by the beholders. That quest was definitely not scaled to my level. Most frustrating thing about it was that there was no return. Of course that also made it extremely rewarding when I finally made it through.
  5. am assuming you is talking europe, no? you is a museum freak but you wanna avoid the catholic? what a shame, regardless o' religious concerns, rome & vatican city is must-see destinations for any lover o' art... along with london and paris. personally, Gromnir enjoyed valencia mostest. if we had to live in europe again, we would probable choose valencia. the city of arts and sciences is kewl, but we enjoyed valencia even before the art complex were built in the mid 90's. former roman city that surrendered to the moors w/o a fight, so much of old roman architecture remains. similar, you gots influences from arab, baroque and gothic architecture throughout the city. is probable 1/2 size of barcelona and is equidistant from both barcelona and madrid... makes it am ideal starting point from which to visit either location. good seafood, and the peoples is a bit more laid-back and friendly than in the more populous locales... although we enjoyed virtual all o' spain... in spite o' an endemic and pronounced academic provincialism. even so, you does yourself a disservice to avoid rome if you is a museum freak. HA! Good Fun! I've been to Valencia. Liked it a lot. As well as London and Paris, but those were a while ago and I do need to revisit them soon. Haven't seen Rome yet, but indeed, I will have to do so.
  6. The irony is strong here.
  7. Went to Prague last week. Surely a beautiful city, but all in all it was a bit of a disappointment compared to my previous trip to Barcelona. The facades were nice at first, but after a while they did get a bit boring. I don't think I'll find a city soon that equals the pure awesomeness that is Barcelona. There was just so much more to do there other than enjoying the scenery. I'm a bit of a museum freak, and Prague didn't have too many, at least besides religious places which I prefer to avoid (especially Catholic ones). Feel free to share your favorite cities, and why.

Feel free to share your (preferably European) favorite cities. Edit: I think I'll make another thread for this.
  9. Oh man I shouldn't have read this thread, I think I just got spoiled. On the plus side, I see Shadowstrider still lives. Haven't seen you in ages.
  10. I'm a big fan of The Cat Empire myself. Their latest album is fantastic.
  11. Also saw Pirates and wasn't impressed at all. Definitely the worst one so far. If you can't even like Jack Sparrow, you know there's something really wrong. I thought it would be a nice change not to have Will and Elizabeth, but as it turns out their good nature was actually necessary for Sparrow to be the unpredictable pirate, rather than the moral hero of the story. And it's not just Sparrow. None of the characters were particularly interesting to be honest. No funny sidekicks to be seen, and even Ian McShane didn't manage to make Blackbeard a menacing villain. The best character was the monkey, and considering what little screentime it gets, that says a lot.
  12. Finished SP. Wow what an amazing game. I got 'em all. That one in the last test chamber (with the 3 turrets and the blue gel) was really really difficult.
  13. L.A. Noire Gameplay Series: Investigation and Interrogation http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/adventure/...topslot;thumb;2 Looks interesting.
  14. I was going to ask about these. Anyone else have experience with Ninja Gaiden? Is it a constant hack & slash, or is it more like God of War (i.e. mixed with some puzzling)?
  15. I finished Arkham Asylum today, was a fun game indeed. Before that I've played and finished GTAIV and God of War III. Based on the feedback in this thread, I'll pick up: - Uncharted 1 and 2 - Assassin's Creed 2 (even though they're milking the franchise, this seems to be a fun game) Along with these: - inFamous - Red Dead Redemption - GTA Episodes from Liberty City - and maybe Prototype Really want to play the new Mortal Kombat as well, but I'd need to buy a second controller first, which go for €60, so I'll probably wait until the game drops in price (otherwise it would be €120 to play a game). Which I always do btw, there's plenty of good games to play that have already dropped in price, so might as well play those while I wait for the newer ones to do the same. And when I have another controller, might as well get Little Big Planet to play with the ladyfriend.
  16. After a few years of using my PS3 solely as a Bluray player, I've recently starting playing games on it again. So I started looking for the highest rated PS3 games, and saw Uncharted 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 amongst them. Now I'm wondering whether I should play the originals beforehand. They both get fairly good reviews, but it seems the sequels are a lot better. I know that AC1 in particular can be quite repetitive, so is it necessary for storyline reasons to play it before AC2?
  17. Unmasked Sub-Zero is the second one. Noob Saibot is the first one returned from the dead. You robot-hating fools would get crushed by me playing Smoke or Sektor. I suck with Cyrax though.
  18. Yes he's been a machine since MK3. I don't know anything about the series after UMK3. 2D oldskool gameplay is where it's at, which is why I'm stoked about this new game.
  19. Scorpion is my number 2 right after Smoke. Not surprising since they're basically the same character (spear & telepunch), but I kick most ass with Smoke.
  20. Latest Mortal Kombat karakter reveal: Just a few more to go, and I'd be surprised if my homeboy Smoke weren't one of those, but so far Noob is definitely most impressive.
  21. finally got around to buying God of War 3, and once again loving Kratos' brutality just banged Aphrodite and had the most epic encounter with Cronos
  22. I thought the lore was decent up until WoW. It wasn't very original, but it was good enough to keep me playing the RTS games. The lore from WoW onwards however, from what I've read about it, seems mostly like it was designed for gameplay purposes rather than to create a good cohesive story. The examples that spring to mind are the Blood Elves joining the Horde, and the Draenei backstory being retconned. Also the entire Horde vs Alliance conflict should've ended after WC3, seeing as they both seem to have much bigger fish to fry than each other. I was very curious about where the story would be heading after TFT, but with the way WoW messed everything up, I doubt an interesting plot for another WarCraft RTS is even possible. It's a bit comparable to the Forgotten Realms: everywhere and at all times there is some epic conflict going on. It just takes away any sense of danger.
  23. RIP What happened to Hades? edit: nm found it
  24. I'm looking for some fun games to play with friends on my old PS2. Since the PS2 has backwards compatibilty, PS1 suggestions are welcome as well. No typical sports or racing games please. Currently we're mostly playing Worms World Party and Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Games that allow more than 2 players (such as Worms) are preferred, though probably quite rare. I only have two controllers at my disposal, so these would have to be turn-based.
