Not even close to.. BREAKING NEWS: FALLOUT3

Like poop and poop after eating spinach. Great difference! -
A much better game?
-
*thinks hard about it* Hmmm, well, maybe that's a little too many skills. Basically, a Confessor should have unparalleled speech skills, i.e. Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, and be very "refined", i.e. knowledge(etiquette), maybe a master of disguise, altering his/her appearance by magical means as well as physical. I don't see how she can draw from the experiences of other people, maybe manipulating someone and adding her attribute score or skill ranks to his but that's as far as I'd go.

I believe Illusion would be the better choice, visually altering yourself to something more wicked or more attractive maybe, in accordance to what the situation calls for. What's the point of messing with someone's head if you can't make him/her think you look like something you aren't. Yes, Wisdom doesn't seem to affect anything so it shouldn't be a key attribute. Favored Soul spell progression is actually the same as the Sorcerer's spell progression and since the attacks are mostly gaze and touch attacks, no, I don't think they provoke an AoO since you don't need to chant, move or draw a spell component, it all takes place inside your mind.

Weapons, Armor, and Concealability
SirPetrakus replied to Signal's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
I did that once. Ask me if anyone complained. -
You might need to even up the numbers, some spell levels have such few selections Now idea how to help you with that though. Maybe some of the official rulebooks have some extra spells that you can implement?

I will justify my selection of Hit Dice as this: a confessor must have spent most of his life focusing on mind bending, therefore leaving him very slightly exposed to the hardships of combat. Also, since the confessor should be able to do both ranged and melee attacks, she doesn't really need to have a high hit dice, what troubles me is the armor proficiencies. Would she be able to wear armor? Should it be restricted to light armor or will she be able to wear medium armor too? Can she use shields? Another thing that came up was whether the attacks will require casting. I'm guessing it's like an innate ability so it shouldn't. I read some of the suggested abilities the confessor should gain and I think that the lvl 15 one is a little abusive, it's a nice idea, don't get me wrong, but it is a little overpowering. No fighter or other warrior class would be able to best it and the whole idea of D&D from the 3rd edition and up is balance. Maybe an aura that affects the attacker with a -2 to attack rolls and damage rolls unless save vs will is made with a DC =confessor lvl + cha modifier.

You could make it a variable of a specialist enchanter. Instead of rolling a saving throw against the spells it could be an opposed roll, i.e. 1d20 + base attack bonus + intelligence (or charisma) modifier vs. the enemy's 1d20 + AC vs. touch attack (ranged or melee) + ability modifier. At the first levels the attacks would be weak though. Use the equivalent specialist wizard or sorcerer table (up to you) for spells per day and enchantment/charm spells out of the 2 arcane and 2 divine spell casting classes. I would suggest the saving throw table to be that of the Wizard/Sorcerer, but the attack bonus of the Cleric/Druid classes, for a little extra edge on her attacks. Hit Die would be a 1D4+Con Modifier. Of course, my whole idea could be completely stupid

The new screenies sure look more enticing! Seriously Xard, when I saw that picture I noticed that something was wrong but I would never have gone that way, thanks for pointing it out and giving me a few good lulz, that was an awesome job The tanned lady in gear with the lace bra and the big gun ... I can't see much from her face but I like what I can see. WOOF! The graphics look a lot more polished and the the physics look a lot more natural, but I get the feeling that you Devs still haven't stopped tinkering your way through the UT3 engine. I was pretty excited from the start about this game, now I think I'm pretty much sold.

I always escort my romantic interests to chick flicks and I usually enjoy a good romantic comedy. Thankfully, I didn't have one when Titanic was out so I saved me a lot of trouble it seems. However, there was an atrocity of a film I was made to go to. It's called "The Sweetest Thing", starring Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate and Shelma Blair. I was thinking, it's got Shelma Blair, how bad can it be? Well, I just wasn't in any romantic mood when the film was over, just blind rage and a burning sensation in my head. I went home had a cold shower and pretended I had never seen that film or that it never existed. I hope I am not being too graphic again. Parker Posey, who I adore in spite of her being the villain in Blade Trinity, was also in the cast and even she failed to save that movie for me. It was just bad.

Don't sweat it, I'm pretty sure it was just her.

If I ever have ANOTHER relationship like my previous one, I am shooting myself. Cute girls just aren't worth the hassle. Example, I was serving in the army and setting up a projector in the presentation hall for a presentation we had made for a Brigadier General. I got the Captain behind me to overlook my progress and SHE calls. I pick the phone up *regrettably, rather too much graphic detail - Walsingham*

Either that or someone watched the Planet Terror trailer one time too many. Doesn't kick any less ass though. -
THQ announced that Vigil Games, recently acquired by THQ, will be making an MMORPG based on Warhammer 40.000. I am sorry to crash your hopes on a Obsidian MMO WH40k like that
-
I was reading the old posts Feargus made the other day and he said something about the next major franchise he wanted OE to approach to be Warhammer 40k. To do that he would have to contact THQ who currently owns the license for any Warhammer 40k games. At about the same time THQ confirmed the creation of an RPG based on the Warhammer 40k setting, just didn't make it clear whether it's a MMO RPG or a different type of RPG. However, Vigil Games, which was bought by THQ, is currently developing a MMO RPG on the franchise. So with Age of Reckoning and the new MMO, has Obsidian given up on the idea? Had any approach to THQ been made in the first place? Did the talks just fall through? Are you guys just waiting for the right time to make a statement? Anybody know something about it?

Ever seen the final boss fight of Samurai Zombie Nation? -
I feel sorry for those friends of yours. The power mongers always blow themselves up with this class. So that should be fun for you to watch. Yes, that sounds like great fun!

Wasn't she also playing that doctor on board the ship in Mass Effect? Just not that raspy a voice? -

Yes yes! Britney is a must! What the ... NO! Have you people no taste? Britney is ... ugh! I want Lacey Chabert! Her squeaky voice drives me nuts. And if you're going to hire a singer, might as well be Christina! She's 10 times better. From the sound of it, though, it looks like there will be a lot of female characters, so we'll get to hear lots of sexy voices I hope. -
I had one of those too. I ended up in a psychiatric ward at the end of the dream :<

I'd be more than willing to show you how Danes can drink, if you ever make your way by these parts.. Besides I mostly don't drink these kind of beers to get drunk. We have the cheap and strong kind for that. Likewise, I would like to initiate you to the joys of uzo and raki. I don't doubt how the Danes drink, I've heard the tales. The Elves do have a taste for more subtle flavors, like Franziskaner, the low constitution score is just an aftereffect. I would be honored to be your drinking buddy, should I ever get the chance.

Well, I AM Greek! I've had very little contact with mist in my life and none in the past 10 years, so your assumption is accurate.

For a split second I thought I had visited the wrong site but then I saw the Obsidian logo and I was pleasantly surprised. Then I feared I imagined it all and it would revert to the old one. Great job guys!

Places you'd like to see

I didn't know that. Sonic Unleashed has what looks like a Myconos stage, where all the little white houses are.
