Good work! I especially like the correct proportions/anatomy of the Brachiosaurus.

Yeah, get a new keyboard.

A Blade Runner sequel (or maybe remake) would be nice, directed by Ridley Scott, and Vangelis should make the music again. Game sequel? That's easy: System Shock 3. But that's never gonna happen.

I suggest you get a Wacom... Wacom is the leader in graphic tablets. I just bought an Intuos 3 lately..... and it's awesome! Can't now live without it anymore. Here are just some examples I drew with Intuos 3 and Painter: Apple Tomatos An Eye Old Man Atmosphere (Speedpainting) It's pressure sensitive (supports 1024 pressure steps I think) as well as tilt. Oh and the customization possibilities in the driver menu are praisworthy too. It's a great tool, and if you already have experience in traditional art tools, you may want to marry it. Anyway, get an Intuos 3 (A5 suffices for me, but if you have a 21' monitor, you might want to get an A4 format). HTH.

This demo was friggin' *press slomo* awwwweeeeeesooooooummmmmeeeeee!!!!!!1111 *release slomo* However, this is the kind of experience you probably only enjoy one time, because after you know where stuff happens it isn't so intensive anymore... And yes, that ladder scene was very... refreshing! :'(

Very tactful... After the Hot Coffee controvery, they're just announcing a Bully game. How is that supposed to make their reputation more admired by the furiously government, lawyers and other peacoholics? I personally could never stand any of the Rockstar games, so if they get screwed... so be it.
-
Are you really going to try to pull that on me, I read about those on Wikipedia. There is going to be a load noise or something. I just heard it. You couldn't fool me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why? What's wrong with that one? Just a room, and then I saw a little Pixie rocking on the table. Nothing to be worried about.
-
Stop arguing against each other... You know that I'm right. And now, I've something new: Stare at it carefully, and tell me what you saw!
-
Hehe, beaty, hehe... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seeing illusions or what?
-
Alrighty. Mkreku made a valid point... now I only need to find something to cut out my eyes...hmm. I could break my mirror! But that would mean I can't admire my own beautiful splendor anymore. Touching girls My own beauty. Decisions decisions...
-
The only optical illusion I once had were some rocking pixies that... wait. No, NO!!! I suspected the wrong one. YOU are the Beholder! WHERE'S MY MIRROR??!?!
-
My perception tells me that Sarjahurmaaja is just a grumpy Beholder who wants us to suffer because he didn't get a bunch of Beholder-approved colored sunglasses for his 76368504th birthday (like his Elder). Now he's just angry. Pffth. And now excuse me, I've some important business to attend to... Where's my mirror?
-
This is a thread devoted to any kind of Optical Illusions you can gather, so please share it here! My current favorite: Colour Perception It's also a very important knowledge base/tool for artists regarding Colour-Theory/Compositing. Well well, at least I can be sure that while looking into the mirror after I crawl out of the bed, I'm still looking at the most beautiful man in the world.

According to what Dave said, the scenes are removed entirely... And I guess by removed I really mean "removed" (animations, art, sound etc.), otherwise some modder could initiate another "Hot Coffee" like disaster again, which is certainly not in Atari's best interest.
-
The difference probably is that in Leisure Suit Larry the delicate female parts were always well-behaved hidden. Fahrenheit, on the the other hand, isn't supposed to hide God's gift natural beauty....it's a French game, after all. But yes, I guess Atari fears to be sued by some jerks due to possible "naughty Exposures". And the "Hot Coffee" Mod doesn't seem to make the matter easier. But I'm not a specialist in US-Censorship, there could be plenty of other reasons too.
-
Nah, I think it's just the general censorship... it's not the first time after all that something like that happens.
-
David Cage answers some questions here. It's also being revealed that the US-Version won't have Sex scenes included... Not my problem. Now after playing the demo (albeit a little short), I'm 99,9999% certain that I'm getting the full version.... the Euro version (with Sex scenes), that is. " :">

I sent this: Dear Mr. Thompson With regard to your interesting web site, I am writing to report a violent video game which has resulted in acts of extreme violence and multiple deaths. The game to which I refer is called 'Shock and Awe in Iraq', in which so far between 25,000 and 100,000 people have been killed, the majority of whom are civilians. It has come to my attention that the targets in this game, far from being the assemblage of pixels usually to be found in such entertainment, may in fact be real people dying very real deaths. In addition to the obvious harm done to the people of Iraq, it seems likely that there will be a significant and damaging impact upon children in the US and UK. Our children are being raised in a climate in which our leaders declare such violence to be acceptable and even virtuous. I urge you to do everything possible to ensure that this game ends immediately, and those responsible are brought to account for their crimes. Yours sincerely Steve I look forward eagerly to his reply, and shall post it should it come. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "R00fles" comes into mind. Can't wait for the response.

Well there's www.gothic3.de (which btw now offers two music samples), and then there's of course www.worldofgothic.de, the place where the devs occasionally drop in... it's not a large community, but still very loyal.
-
Oh there's quite a bunch I'm looking forward to for this and the next year: Gothic 3 NWN2 Bioshock Age of Empires 3 F.E.A.R. HL2: Aftermath Fahrenheit and Dreamfall sound interesting too, though I've to wait for more infos/demos.

Well, there're games that have story, and then there's a game that is story... I recommend you to read those two interviews of Quantic Dream's David Cage, talking about the ambitiously Fahrenheit game and the lack of progress in today's games in general. Very interesting read... I hope this game turns out as something playable, not watchable, though. Part 1 Part 2

No surprise you always hear the big publishers lately bragging around with big words like "Next Generation", "$20-30 million development costs", "Hollywood actors" and that kind of BS... Money's certainly not the limitation factor for EA, so no wonder he's bragging around with "High Definition" and "More Pixels, more sale". However, I think that's just a cheap attempt to scare the not-so-rich publishers/developers out of the market. Many unreasonable publishers/devs who jump onto that bandwagon have mostly to deal with finacial difficulties, which makes them poorer, but not necessarily smarter for future endeavors. Anyway, when I just look at what Piranha Bytes (with those 15 people they are) are doing with Gothic 3, I really have to scratch my head about what's all about this "OMG it takes $20-30 million or it will suck!!!" nonsense. Gothic3, for comparison, does not look worse than any other Triple-A games coming out for Next Gen hardware, is even 3 times bigger than Gothic2 (so much for 20 hours games a must today...tsk), and doesn't need a motion picture license to be a commercial success. Gothic2, for comparison, only sold over 100k units worldwide, but was declared as a commercial success and motivated PB to work on Gothic 3. Many publishers/devs still need to be enlightened that not everything must be produced

If you haven't done it already, than you can PM me the link or text, and I intend to try my best.

@Archmonarch No problem, I only wanted to correct the words, not to play teacher. Want to learn German in the easy way? Here ya go: Mist (fog) is actually a curse that means "crap!". Gift (present) means "poison". "Here's your gift!" HAHA!
