  1. Poor Lassie
  2. You can bet your ass that most of the blame is on the bad translations... Not saying that's the case for all JRPGs... It's same like other games, some have **** story some have excellent story, but most of them are just rippoffs of classic books
  3. I might be wrong, but it seems you missed these two sentences
  4. Ehm... there is no company named Bioware, it's just a label/division of EA, nothing more nothing less... you should know it
  5. ehm... when did Bioware lift NDA?
  6. under 1% of all programmers know parallel programming... i do not believe that any of them are working for EA What? My entire graduating class understands the basics of parallel programming. It's different to understand it and make a proper clean parallel code, which 100% uses all the cores and processors available... Here you get the link about it directly from Intel... Or are you gonna say they do not have a clue about it aswell?? http://blogs.intel.com/research/2007/11/q4_itj.php
  7. Downloading hentai with your Opera browser is not 'linux research.' Just download everything by Milky Studio onto DVDs and you'll have tons of room. Impressive, but I would recommend deleting everything with bondage and/or rape with in it and he would have tons of room. Besides it wouldn
  8. Seriously. 20 GB is $2.80 at Fry's. Admittedly, you have to buy 500 GB to get that price. Downloading hentai with your Opera browser is not 'linux research.' Just download everything by Milky Studio onto DVDs and you'll have tons of room. pff
  9. 20GB might be a problem even if you got large HDD i have atm only 11GB free, doing lot of linux research for my job even at home
  10. under 1% of all programmers know parallel programming... i do not believe that any of them are working for EA
  11. that sounds serious... I am wondering if it will have same performance as Sims 3 at minimum specifications... (/hint BAD /endhint)
  12. That many? Last game I can recall following that had that much shuffling at the top was PoR2. Just browsing the BioBoards these days, though, tells me you're not alone in your feeling that DA:O might be having an identity crisis. Or they just got into "EA started bitching in development to maximize profit" crisis
  13. wow... i never knew the damage was so big And the crown of the ridiculousity... D&D without gnomes, seriously WTF???
  14. It's only good when it's good. this :D
  15. It realy depends on your gaming preferences... Atm there is no single MMO which i tried and liked to play it more than few days... But in the past i played some and i enjoyed them... But at some point they all turned into doing the same thing over and over
  16. Guild Wars? Guild Wars or Runes of Magic are best examples of free to play MMOs... You don't need to pay single dime ever if you dont want and you still can enjoy the game a lot
  17. There are many free to play MMOs they just have different business model than monthly fee... But all so called "AAA ****" is always based on monthly fee business model
  18. That's right, you didn't. But then I guess you don't have a point or I must have missed it, as you quoted and answered to a post directed to somebody complaining about MMO-capable NWN not being free anymore, or somesuch... So please, what was your point again? That even free to play games can offer similar or even better services than pay-to-play MMOs... EDIT: and that you cannot expect miracles from any game even if you pay monthly fee for it... some companies do awesome job at running MMOs and some publishers should just need to be arrested for fraud
  19. Yeah, yeah. I once saw a flying pig. True story! Anyway, if you are not satisfied with the service offered or you believe it doesn't hold up to what they advertise, you can always *drum roll* cancel your subscription! And since MMOs usually offer one or two months free subscription with the retail package, you should be able to tell if the quality level is up to your standards BEFORE you ever pay a subscription fee. There's also a subtle difference between "professional and timely" and "unreasonable". Again, explain how PWs run their show better than company-run MMO servers. And if you can't, then perhaps you can explain why companies should offer the service FOR FREE? Where did i say MMOs should be for free?
  20. You DID know that turning V-Sync off makes it pretty ok, right? (The game was still a borefest, though...) Turning off V-Sync did indeed solve the problem with the mouse, but at least on my system it turned on the horrible, horrible screen tearing. Funny that, I always turn it off and never get any tearing. What causes it anyway? i never experienced it aswell, but if i am correct it can happen if you have very powerful machine and you get ****loads of FPS (200+) on your 60Mhz LCD... Dont hit me if i am wrong
  21. Major servers run by the publisher? Were those services guaranteed? Could you actually ask for reparation in case something (or somebody) screwed up? Were all those things delivered in a professional and timely manner? man are you so naive? i played different MMOs for more than 5 years and most of the things you mentioned never happened lol, not even the service was guaranteed with all the server crashes i experienced... Not even WoW was able to deliver many things in a professional and timely manner...
  22. So NWN offered server maintenance, fulltime DM staff, constant development, testing and addition of new content, event organization etc "for free" before? In some cases Yes you just had to pick up good PW... and PW's have something what no MMO up to this day ever had... DM organized adventures...
  23. All I can say is OWNED!!! lolololol
  24. This, not to mention the DRM testing...
