  1. The sum of all fears? Also, uncanny valley CGI scenes should be in Matrix-like movies. For instance, the protagonist hallucinates and the real/CGI scenes are used to tell apart when he's seeing things and when not. Patriot Games and Hunt For Red October were two excellent Tom Clancy-based movies. but iirc both have much more than 10 years, at that time there was lot of excellent movies made and this would be more likely the cast of the movies today
  2. i almost puked at the end...
  3. yes but there i difference between Point Lookout type of DLC, and bigger inventory type of DLC... one feels like small expansion, one feels like a ripoff
  4. i can say for myself that i would not hesitate to buy even full Infinity Engine game, but that's me... i do love game with manual art much more than fully rendered 3D animations... and the model posted was an hypothetical view of how he thinks the game business my go, the DA was chosen just to make it easy to understand, because it's the game which is currently talked about... he could name it differently, but he did made his point clear... and i also think, that some companies want to go this way, and it is sad that some people are stupid enough to pay that much money for these games, making our hobbies less and less appealing...
  5. i think that we have a case of a personal oppinion in here... i you hates NWN2, you are hating its modules by default aswell
  6. This story does say, that indeed EA was responsible for many of the issues with Dark Knight (but not all) http://www.kotaku.com.au/2009/01/how_pande...to_a_nightmare/
  7. When i clicked on it, I found something more interesting... http://kotaku.com/5406449/rumor-rip-pandem...ne=true&s=i and when after you read it, read this one aswell http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=15834
  8. It's alot scarier when you realise that it's probably got a much longer history. Arguing with Volo is like arguing with Grommy, flaming pointless, unproductive, and an absolute waste of energy. heh i am happy i did not end up on that list \o/ atm i am only awaiting the comming of Final Fantasy XIII and XIV, Gran Turismo 5 and Alpha Protocol (and maybe F: New Vegas - still thinking if i shall buy F3 or not, if i dont end up buying F3 i might miss F:NV aswell ) Unfortunately there is nothing more which i found enough interesting to care about, and that makes me sad EDIT: i did forgot about AvP3 and maybe Doom 4... so it is not as tragic as i thought, but it still could be much better... PS: and yes, you are right about MW2, but don't tell anyone that i agree with you, it might seriously damage our image
  9. read few of my last post, there is pretty much explained why we do have statisticaly so many religious... i am from Slovakia...
  10. Yeah I do, and Bioware is so far up the chain of EA that you'd be on crack to think this would effect them. So you think Bio is rated higher then Origin was? my estimated guess is they are rated same as was origin the 1st year after they got bought up
  11. And in Czech Republic aswell, and what do i find very funny is the way how it is in my country, when answering to statistic polls most of the population says they do believe in god, because it is trendy, but when looking at many discusion about taking away the funding of churches from tax money and making it only fundable from donations by officials believers, many of these "trendy" people would be checking the atheist checkboxes You can be against churches and organized religion and not be an atheist though. I'm not quite sure I get your scenario, why would you lie about your belief in a poll because it is trendy? some of them are doing it from what i know, because it is deep family tradition, but they do not visit churches at all... you know religion can be a reason for biggest fight, and some of them just simply do not want to fight with their own family, so they check the "believer" checkbox, until politics change the mandatory religion taxing of all citizens into mandatory donations for people who are true believers... but i dont think that will happen anytime soon, politics are just only talking about it here last 15 years but are affraid of doing it

  13. my words exactly!!!
  14. Altought i am atheist, forcing all people, that they have to be atheists is retarded... That was for sure not a good thing that came from Soviet Union
  15. Saying there was nothing good in Soviet Union, is even more retared Look at the cosmic research for example... it would be nowhere the current state, without them!!!
  16. hahaha, that says a lot about human nature :D
  17. Welcome to Russia circa. 1965. Those tractor production figures are looking great this quarter, Sergei. I'm glad you quoted Kaftan because I'm too damned lazy to read the first few pages again. Someone alluded to this arrangement working both ways earlier. Let's bring that full circle. Companies can't fire employees for economic reasons as long as the company is running a profit. Employees can't leave companies because they can make more money elsewhere as long as their inflation adjusted pay remains the same. See, that's reciprocity. Sound like fun? I'd rather have our model, but then again I've bought into the propaganda. M.War, you kill me sometimes, but I do enjoy your posts. Good times, man! I just hope i am not taken as dead serious as Volourn... that would be deep wound for me Of course not everything is propaganda, but to have bigger chance to avoid any propaganda you have to read on both sides... If anyone believes that only ex-communistic countries was doing deep propaganda, he sould stop feeding with blue pills and take a red pill for once...
  18. No I am not telling that, but i am telling you that if you do not read on the model from an Russian economist author who is supporter of modern capitalism, but has realy experienced how the command economy actualy realy worked or did not worked You will never get a whole picture edit: same can be said about economy in ancient rome, because almost every book which was made during that time was burned during deep medieval ages by inquisition, you can not tell how exactly it worked, only from rumours which has been held by few scholars who did not get burned during that time, and from occasional original writings which are more scarce than altruistic people in the top management of colossal companies, and as you know rumours can get twisted
  19. The only way how you could know, what are you talking about, is if you were from former Soviet Union... And had more that 30 maybe 40 years, because you would be experiencing that 1st hand... Western books depict eastern block with many many mistakes and propaganda... and ofc vice versa... if i would be studying history of EU or USA from only from Russian books, everyone would be laughing at me, like i am laughing at everyone who never opened any modern history book written in eastern europe and is claiming that he knows what he is talking about...
  20. Welcome to Russia circa. 1965. Those tractor production figures are looking great this quarter, Sergei. You have absolutely no clue what are you talking about...
  21. What that does have to do with NWN2 sales numbers? Neither Atari nor NPD did said anything about its sales numbers...
