  1. My loss is only things that i do realy miss... and believe me, i will never miss any **** like that... Well surely you won't miss the DRM measures, but what if your most favorite game gets released (and you know you want it), but also uses some DRM? My most favourite game of 2008 was Mass Effect, and i do not miss at all that i never played that game, i used the saved 50 EUR to purchase 5 Platinum Edition Games for PS1/2, i had so much fun, that i realy do not remember when was the last time i enjoyed my gaming time so much...

  3. You know, with that kind sort of DRM, i do not want games to exist... Aren't you a bit overreacting? No... I am happy that there are still games without retarded **** like UbiSoft's DRM... Last year i spent about 1000-1100EUR on computer/console entertainment, i am planning to spent aproximately same amount this year... I know i am only 1 gamer, but it makes me warm inside when i think, that Ubi and EA (and any other company which games require Steam to work) will never touch any of these money spent...

  5. You do know that the shirt analogy is a really bad one rigth. If you could magically duplicate shirts at no cost we would be getting somewhere. I count CD check in the DRM category, don't you guys ? You can magically duplicate shirts, not for free but for less than 10 cents a piece... just hire some SouthEast Asian company...
  6. You're joking, right?
  7. There, fixed it for you...
  8. So that means you will require Steam to play AvP. I wonder if Sega will do the same with AP. What a dissapointment
  9. yay i think this is the 1st post, where i fully agrre with you
  10. System Shock 2 is the most voted for game on the GOG 'want list' by users, so SS2 would make sense. SS@ is the IP of EA, and i do not believe that EA would ever release something on gog...
  11. Oh my... That cover is what i call the Gang Rape of the classic masterpiece...
  12. Because Bioshock 2 is a game, that i do not give a flying **** about, I have absolutely no reason to bitch about it's DRM, because i never intended to buy it anyway What about your principles? You should at least whine a little about it. No worries, I'll start whining when Alpha Protocol ends up Steam only No need to waste my precious time on rubish like Bioshock

  15. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the only game worth the money in that box would be Portal...
  16. 99% sure it will use Steamworks. Just like Empire TW did. Alpha Protocol will use it therefor too. If that's the case, i'll pass...
  17. i just hope the game will not be Steam only for PC
  18. Slow and Painful torture can invovle good looking woman
  19. I want more RPGs in any setting
  20. that's all i had to read after i seen the spot...
  21. JRPGs would be one genre that I wouldn't miss at all. But Final Fantasies and Dragon Quests will be made forever so I guess JRPGs are here to stay. Developers and writers in the west get at lot of heat because they use same tired cliches and combat mechanics but in reality they have evolved way more then JRPGs. I read article about 5 years ago how japanise gamers not only wanted the same combat mechanics in every game, they also wanted the same story. Us old skool CRPG players in here might wish some type of turn based combat would still be in modern games but even then we'd want to see new stories. I guess finally japanise got tired or ain't big enough market for niche type of products that cost millions to make. Handheld devices are probably best option (same goes for all turn based CRPGs). and still JRPGs sell in total more units than western RPGs on global market...
  22. for 2009 ? hmm... nothing :S
