  1. wow, that's pretty old classics you brought to the table
  2. If you use Galaxy, patching is as easy as on Steam. Just sometimes few days later. But more and more games are getting faster and faster with their patches. PoE2 release patches on both platforms at almost same time.
  3. More people are getting to GOG, if the game is released simultaneously on both platform, just so they do not need to go through all the Steam Direct garbage.
  4. New patch and new free DLC for Deadfire, if you somehow missed the news https://www.gog.com/news/pillars_of_eternity_ii_fishes_out_free_dlc_and_new_patch
  5. Is that somehow worse than Namco-Bandai for From's 3rd party Souls games? Activision is also just handling localization and western publishing efforts, From self-publishes in Japan. When it comes to publishing, Activision is still much worse choice for customers than Namco. Even though Namco is far from being saint, they at least do not have shady patents how to screw matchmaking for better monetization of microtransactions. Namco was always only about DLCs in their games. Only thing which gives still a little bit of hope for the game not being MTX ridden ****fest is their release of Crash Bandicoot.
  6. I liked Xenonauts a lot, but after few days, the missions started to be littlr bit repetitive and tedious, but this sparkles my interest much more!
  7. I have finally came back from vacation, and started to look some trailers about games you've recommended. I made it up safely to newest From Software game Sekiro, but... WHY IN THE HELL NO ONE HERE MENTIONED IT IS PUBLISHED BY ACTIVISION??? Now my day is ruined!!!
  8. Some 3D games of late 90's aged pretty nicely, just run FFIX or Tales of Abyss, and you'll see nicely handcrafted graphics, which are still superior to lot of proceduraly generated stuff we still get sometimes. And look at the design of these games. Tales of Abyss and Symphonia dungeon designs are wastly superior to Dungeon design of Zestiria and Berseria, despite Berseria being IMO best of the games, it has serious flaws in this department. Only very few games today, mostly SONY exclusives are still on par with area design of these games, despite having 300x more polygons to use. They just rather use it on the animation of pubic hair of main protagonist than to put more effort to area design.
  9. The sad thing is, I've never play X-Com 3 Next GOG sale will probably convince me to buy it :D
  10. I'm getting a distinct Wing Commander vibe, here. Which incidentally, is a game (series) that hasn't aged too badly. Provided that you can tweak DOSBox to have it run at non-breakneck speed, of course. Oh yeah, I have forgotten to mention these games. It is few years back, when I was playing it, and I can agree than WC3, 4, Prophecy and Privateer 2 are still looking pretty good, despite it's age.
  11. Anyway back to more pleasant stuff. Xenonauts 2 will be comming soon to PC. https://www.gog.com/news/coming_soon_xenonauts_2
  12. And some people are saying, that Earth is flat. Man should not listen to all people, man should obey the laws of countries, where they do business, and man should obey laws of nature. No one is forcing the people who thinks, that it makes games better to click NO, when games ask for collecting personal inforamtions. But no one should force people to click YES, when they do not want too. Doing all that **** as a background process without consent of a user, should be punishable by law.
  13. All Infinity engine games, which allow to unlock higher resolutions even without mods. Tales of the Abyss. Final Fantasy VIII, IX and X. Quake 2-4, Unreal Tournament Classic, 2003, 2004, III. All Lucasfilm/LucasArts adventures after and including Monkey Island. C&C Red Alert. Warcraft II and III. Lands of Lore I. And many more, which do not cross my mind at the moment. Edit: typo. I meant FFVIII, because FFVII aged very badly.
  14. Don't worry, give it two or three more years, there will be new guy with incomming Pillars of Eternity 3, who we'll be blaming for going off-topic again, and you'll be blaming him with us as well Such is the nature of internet
  15. Neither me :-P But I voted for Inquisitor Martyr to be added to GOG library You can vote for that wish here, as well https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/warhammer_40000_inquisitor_martyr
  16. Sonicmage, do not take it personaly too much. This world is full of oppinion bubbles, due to how Google changed how internet works. It is (at least for me) very fresh to have some people to talk with, with which I can respectfully disagree on some topics
  17. Some Cyberpunk 2077 impressions from playable demo by Ars Technica. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/06/cyberpunk-2077-world-premiere-50-minutes-of-william-gibson-level-insanity/
  18. New Chapter was just released on GOG in these days.
  19. Unfortunatelly VR feels to me like a fad in this age as well. Most of the games I've played feel just like technical demos of the hardware with almost no substance. Which is IMO shame. At least there are some Virtual Novels released in Japan already, to justify the price for some people :D
  20. I played the first one and I liked it. They changed a lot talents and stuff in 3 and Final Cut, sooo not very eager to play it despite having them all.
  21. And I prefer current projects like Apocalyptica or Vanessa Mae, and while I enjoy it more than Bach or Rachmaninov, I am not against to listen to them once in a while. And turn off radio anytime Taylor Swift is on, when you want to talk more about analogies.
  22. Nope, Taylor Swift is not artistry, it is commercial poop for masses. I have around me tons of artist, who make or play actual music, and all of them are laughing their asses off, whenever someone talk how good that kind off poop is. They learned me to appreciate the real gems in music industry. Because of that, I do not need to be a musician to understand what is quality music and what is not. As I told before, I take Bach played by local kid, who makes small mistakes now and then, while preforming his music, than anything made by big three music publishers. And be so kind, do not lecture me what is good and what is not, I do not want my tastes be more Swiftified, I have enough of that **** on my local radio...
  23. Sorry no, why I should celebrate some Taylor Swift crap is made on daily basis, when I throw up every time I hear that **** on radio? I am man of taste, I rather listen to the Bach which was made hundreds years ago, even if it is not completely my cup of tea, because it is still much better work of art. Same with video games. These "singers" and games are as relevant as a bullet in a gun, some people will have fun with it, when shooting it into the bottle on the log and damage they caused, but they forget about it as soon as they shoot new one.
  24. Just could not resist and had to purchase the X-COM Complete Edition from GOG sale, which arrived just few days ago for the first time on the platform. And got Sunless Sea for free with it. Never played both of them before.
