  1. From where do you get all the info, that PoE2 flopped hard?
  2. More Dark Souls yesterday. Unfortunately, I have failed my quest to beat Smough and Ornstein solo After spending 12 Humanities trying to beat them with Solaire tanking, I gave up, and summoned real player. First two attempts failed as well, because I somehow ended up in corner with no chance to run away from Smough Hammer. Anyway, last attempt went pretty good, and even though my partner was not prepared for Ornstein in phase 2, he started to tank Smough with no damage doing to him, but thankfully he did notice, that I am trying to make some damage on Smough while running away from Ornstein and he slowly killed him while I was aggroing Ornstein all over the place Phase 2 was pretty long, we both run around like headless chickens, because Ornstein changed his primary target a lot, and no one was able to put more than one hit on him, before need to run away, while the second one was trying to get the aggro back on him again After that I can say, that this fight can be challenging also for party of two. After that, I bought out some NPC merchants, especially Big Hat Logan (I spent on him all of my souls), because soonish after acquiring Lordvessel, he leaves Firelink, and teaches another NPC, his spells. So if you buy him out, you can get the second copy of his two most powerful spells from his apprentice. Having two sets of Homing Soulmass and Soul Spear, is very useful. As my preparation for 4 Kings and Darkwraith covenant, I went to The Depths again, to farm 35 humanities. Pretty boring, but it is the only way, how to get all items, and still be able to talk with Frampt. After that, I have done also few attempts on 4 Kings, but somehow, I am not able to defeat them with soul level 50. I have defeated them in my first playthrough with probably SL 70 or so. After getting asskicked few times by them, i have decided to go again to Catacombs and go after Pinwheel, this time, with the help of Paladin Leeroy NPC summon. He almost two-shotted the boss I have also tried my luck against Hellkite Dragon over Undead Burg bridge, and with maxing my Fire Res with shield and ring, I got very low fire damage, unless he hit me from behind, where I still got one-shotted, lol. But after three or four attempts, I have found a way, how to prevent it, and slice his ass with my Enchanted Uchigatana +1 and Homing Soulmass.
  3. You became another victim of capitalism :D
  4. Last Dark Souls session was some backtracking to Undead Asylum, where I went for an encounter with Stray Demon. It went much much better than in my first playthrough. I almost got him on my first attempt, but I was to triggerhappy, and got destroyed with his AoE slash before I was able to land my final hit I have also encountered the poor Oscar, who gave me the keys and Estus Flask at the start of the game, who became hollowed. More spell trading, and upgrading my Uchigatana to Enchanted version with all the souls reaped there, before I went again for Anor Londo. I am not very eager to be there, but my second biggest beef (that damned Silver Knight Archers) was almost eliminated with the Use of Ring of Fog. I could go very close to them, shoot two poison arrows on both of them, and go to make a cup of tea I really hate these two **** from my first playthrough, so it absolutely do not bother me to use such a cheese move on them. Also, it takes little bit longer to kill the Sentries with Enchanted Uchigatana compared to +10 one, but still much easier, than to try to kick them with any other weapon without bleeding effect. Next in line was the traitor Knight Lautrec. First time, I was unable to kill him, without cheesing him, but this time, I have decided to try "fair" 1vs3 game against him Homing Soulmass helped me with defeating his two adds, and without them, he was not much of a challenge anymore. And that was end of a day for me, just before Ornstein and Smough. Last time, I was unable to defeat them solo, so I had to summon outside help for this boss. I have enough humanities to try out and kill them solo this time, and much better build, but I need to defeat Smough first. Ornstein as a second boss is IMO harder than Smough. We'll see how that goes today.
  5. Yup, if you fix the typo, you can make the AI of Xenomorphs acting almost as shown in the vertical slice trailer. It shows how much Randy Pitchford cared about that game. 5 years of completely broken AI, and no one at Gearbox bothered to review, why it is broken...
  6. Yesterday, I defeated Quelaag. I have tried to summon Maneater Mildred NPC phantom, to see how the fight goes. And not much trouble, compared to my first playthrough As soon, I finished her, I got infested in Demon's ruin, to be able to buy new pyromancies from Engyi, and after buying out all unique stuff from Shiva, I have killed him and his bodyguard for unique shield and ring. Of course I got kicked out of Forest Hunter Covenant, but having all their rewards, I am OK with that. Next was Undead Dragon in Valley of Drakes and his loot, and then, I stopped keeping focus, and got owned by dragons there, and lost 28000 souls :D So I went suicide run for the last ring, and went up back to Firelink Shrine. Sent Laurentius to death in Blighttown (after buying out all of his spells of course), and went on my way to Sen's Fortress. Ring of Fog helped here a lot, and I died only once on my way up, because I have again lost my concentration. Also, I continued on my quest with Siegmeyer there saved Big Hat Logan and went for the boss. As before, I have also experimented with the help of NPC phantom Black Iron Tarkus, and watched, how he almost destroyed the boss alone After the job was done, I run to Firelink Shrine to purchase Homing Soulmass from Logan, and went for well deserved sleep
  7. New Tales of Vesperia trailer.
  8. Few hours of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. Hydra and Crystal Golem enemies were much easier, than I would have thought. So no need to upgrade Uchigatana before that fight. I have walked through The Blighttown much easier this time. I have died only twice, because I did not watch my steps and was to impatient I decided to pick up some more items before Queelag, and got nice shield from Valley of Drakes, just for this fight. Before the boss, I have restored humanity and defeated also one Black Phantom NPC, to get some more souls for needed new pyromancies and two more levels into dexterity, to be able to wield the Uchigatana. Purchased some of the wares from the Forest Hunter merchant, and got summoned twice to help defeat Queelag. This game is not very tough when playing coop. The boss both time died in less than 15 seconds My attempt against her will be probably tomorrow. Need to go to bed now
  9. I think I have quite a few very old games with at least moderately fond memories that I'm afraid to replay just for that reason. I like having the fond memories. Few years back, I have replayed all my PS2 and PS1 games (having like 12 of them helped a lot with that ) and I still enjoyed them. Most of them are just Final Fantasies and Gran Turismo games. Oh and a Godhand from Capcom, one of the most underrated games ever made. So there was very low chance that my fond memories would be stained
  10. Sif defeated after number of tries. He was pretty challenging for me at Soul Level 30. I was unable to properly time dodge for one of his attacks, so whenever he performed it, he almost always killed me. At the end, I somehow managed to somehow learn to dodge it, and put him down to rest. Next step either Hydra in Darkroot Basin or finaly Blighttown. I could use Uchigatana from the merchant, I've unlocked with Forest Hunters for the Hydra fight. I think I give it few tried with my current setup first and go for Uchigatana, if it kills me few times.
  11. The sadest thing is, that all the low budget RPGs, which SE released last 3 years are much better games than FFXV :’( Same will be true also for Octopath Traveler...
  12. And today, I have continued with my Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition on PS3. I have followed my own all NPC quest and interaction and followed into The Depths. The main goal was to get all items and enough Eyes of Dead drops, to be able to upgrade Gravelord Covenant to level 2 to get one more Miracle required for the Trophy. When I had enough, I have also farmed few more humanities, because, there is encounter with first Black Phantom NPC, which can drop nice sword and shield, and Humanity boosts it's droprate. Not enough of boost for me, it did not drop I will have two more chances to get them. I have to fight him in off-line mode, because as soon as I have turned into Human, I got invaded by some clown, who killed me before I found the NPC. Right after that, I have killed the area boss Gaping Dragon, and went back to The Catacombs, for covenant Miracle. As soon as I had it, I abandoned it through the NPC and then went forward to Darkroot Garden to kill the Moonlight Butterfly. I used an NPC summon, which made the fight easy as pie. After that, I have joined Forest Hunter Covenant for the chance to get the Ring of Fog. I have spent about hour or two leeching PvP, because most of the guys there were PvP builds at Soul Level 125, so my only chance to get the kill, was to be matched with another PvP maniac. My Soul Level was 30 at the time. But now I am the happy owner of shiny Ring of Fog, which will be tremendous help for the Blighttown and Anor Londo. And around 40k souls from winning the three matches required for the ring, which were promptly used to upgrade my Pyromancy Flame to +10 and buying of ring to boost my spell damage. I made few attempts against Sif, but being to late, I was to tired to do any proper attempt, so after few deaths, I have decided to go to the bed, and play more Souls tomorrow or later, depending on my work schedule.
  13. Well, probably that's when Kojima stopped working on it.
  14. Started another game of Dark Souls. This time I am trying to go with walkthroughs for all NPC quests/interactions and without Master Key and with INT/Faith build. In first day, Asylum Demon, Taurus Demon, Bell Gargoyles and Capra Demon down. I die much less than in my first game, but yeah, still far away from Let's Play videos :D Bell Gargoyles were piss easy when you can talk with NPCs. You can summon two of them, which could easily take care of the boss, even if you just sit at the entrance and watch them fight. Capra Demon was a bitch as always, but no rage quit this time :D The most challenging part of the run was the first encounter with Patches in the Catacombs right after Capra Demon, before talking to Rhea of Thorolund. The is no available divine weapon at that time, so you have to do suicide run against the first Undead Mage (and kill him) to be able to move forward. The next three of them, can be taken care of with ranged combat, so it gets little bit easier, but you have to consult map all the time, if you do not know where they are located. Still this place has killed me yesterday most of the time, but I was able to access also smith Vamos and Gravelord Servant Covenant, and join it. Next in line The Depths and farming 7 more Eye of Death from basilisk, and upgrade the covenant to level 2 for a miracle required for one trophy. Then the Gaping Dragon.
  15. People! You are now walking on very thin ice... In before not to long, and you'll start telling us how great NWN and Titanic are, and you'll be on par with Volo!!!
  16. After defeating Crossbreed Priscilla, I have finally decided to go against the Gwyn. Man, was I surprised how fast he killed me I changed in middle of the game into Vit/Dex build and I thought, that I have finally learned how to be better at the game. It helped me a lot against all other bosses, but after 10 or more tries, I was just unable to make more than 25% damage to him, before he completely destroyed me My Soul Level at the time was 85 and I have even upgraded my crimson armor to +4, and still no luck. I have then again decided to try my luck and restored human form, and search for a summon sign. I was lucky and found one guy, right at the start of the Kiln. Two people against Gwyn was just short execution. I burned him with pyromancy, while he was tanking him. As my first end, I have decided to choose Dark Lord ending. Gwyn needed to be replaced Amazing game. All in all this run took me almost 78 hours I will try to finish my Platinum with Prepare to Die Edition and another character, probably more caster type than this one. Two bosses were really impossible for me when playing solo
  17. A few of us here have good taste in music, head over to the game soundtrack thread and you'll feel needed Says a man who glorifies Taylor Swift
  18. And Four Kings down in Dakr Souls. My new Pyromancy Glove+15 helped a ton. I have to low DPS with my weapon, for that fight, so I am happy I left it as a last mandatory boss before Gwyn. Fight was not very hard, because I am pretty high soul level, so I've withstanded few direct hits from them and could spam fire spells on them. Currently on my way to Crossbreed Priscilla. And then the main boss of the game.
  19. ...Yeah, IIRC, it's basically impossible to find on your own. I surely did not on my first playthrough - but it proved very useful on NG+, especially on my NG7 SL1 run.I was using similar ring in Demon's Souls, which really helped me during some black phantom NPCs. The only boss which really made me go mad, was False King on NG+, which made me rage quit the game for three years and 8 mpnths :D I was able to kill him only after I watch a lot of videos of his kill :D Edit: actually Capra Demon in Dark Souls pissed me even more. I rage quit after dozen of attempts for 6 years, 2 months and 3 days according PSNTrophies :D After I killed him, my experience with game was much better, no rage quit yet :D
  20. Yup Demon's Souls is one of the main "selling" points of the emulator. But it is still far far away from PS2 or PS1 emulation. The most interesting thing is, that Demon's Souls has high resolution textures on disk, and PS3 downsizes it to 720p. That is not the case for the emulator, which can run it on powerful PC at native 4K.
  21. I had so far only one co-op encounter in Dark Souls, when I was to frustrated of my unability to down Smough/Ornstein duo. I somehow prefer soloing my games, because I have my own pace due to work. Sometimes I can play 5-6 hours in a day, sometimes I can't play for a week. But I would not mind to try out the co-op sometimes.
  22. Yes, we could :D But it takes a lot of time for noob like me to get through the game :D So we would need to play it at approximate same pace and Soul Level
  23. Well, the European Prepare To Die Edition, which I have is not compatible with the save of Normal UK edition, which I have started years ago, and did not wanted to throw away my first ever character. So I have decided to finish game first with him, and go for second playthrough with new character in Prepare To Die Edition and go for all the content with my second character. With maps and stuff to get every single item available in-game. And later I’ll try to go for Platinum. I still have not found Ring of Fog though :-/
  24. And Gravelord Nito defeated as well. Tbh as soon as you kill his adds, which are immortal unless you , what I completely forgot yesterday, he is piss easy. Needed only 3 tries to learn his moves and kick his ass. Only three more areas to go and two bosses, and I can go for final boss (no DLC run atm).
  25. Demon Centipede and Bed of Chaos down as well. Now I am getting raped by Gravelord Nito :/ I am stuck and I simply do not know how to survive this fight
