  1. Happened to everyone who was assimilated by EA. The moment EA bought them, I have put my money elsewhere. I was so excited for DA:O and ME games, when they were announced, but now I am happy, that I have not bought the 1st games in these series. I have saved myself serious disapointments. Anyway. Awaiting from all of you the experience with Monster Hunter World. It is very high on my to buy list this year, but being 4th month on business trip, I have almost no access to gaming outside of few weekend days, so buying it now, would be just for collecting dust, while I am away
  2. I think, I have spent more hours playing Pazzaak, than both KotoRs combined O.o That game was so awesome!!!
  3. "Doubles down" Yet https://www.pcgamesn.com/dragon-age-4/new-dragon-age-game Don’t get to high hopes for DA4... Update from the kotaku article, from this morning... UPDATE (1/25, 9:50am): The day following the publication of this article, BioWare studio head Casey Hudson confirmed that the next Dragon Age will indeed be a live game. “Reading lots of feedback regarding Dragon Age, and I think you’ll be relieved to see what the team is working on,” he wrote on Twitter. “Story & character focused. Too early to talk details, but when we talk about ‘live’ it just means designing a game for continued storytelling after the main story.”
  4. Ooooooooooooooooh those DS9 shirts... @.@ Extra Credits opened up Pandora's Lootbox, then shook it until controversy fell out. Well in my oppinion, games should not cost more than 30USD. And I guarantee, I can put as much stuff out of my ass to support my argument, as any other guy.
  5. Thinking about MHW, but I have no time to play anything atm. :-/
  6. @Lexx: That's what I hate about all the "modern" open world games. Shallow quest descriptions in log book, so in most cases you have absolutely no clue where to go without all the UI fluff turned on, but when you turn it on, well the game became more boring than corridor walking...
  7. IIRC in Witcher 3, it should be possible to turn most of these "modern" hand-holders off.
  8. They fixed it later again, so I was able to redeem it in the end.
  9. Can’t redeem it :/ it shows nowhere on the frontpage for me :/
  10. As far as I know, the blinking thingies should be programmable as well.
  11. Well, I can't speak Japanese, so I would not be able to enjoy the games as much :/
  12. *sighs* more DS loot, but probably never arrives in the West Dark Souls Trilogy for PS4. http://www.siliconera.com/2018/01/11/dark-souls-trilogy-box-set-announced-exclusively-ps4/
  13. Yeah, no one is arguing about that, but it's still far far away from the statements in the OP about which a lot of people would happily argue
  14. Yes, PC, PS4, Xbone, and Switch.
  15. Man I would love to have "Open World" racing game, with Project CARS or Gran Turismo physics... Would probably never happen Anyway, at some point I have heard, that makers of Project CARS series got some movie license for their next game (rumours says it's Fast and Furious). So there is still some hope for that kind of game. Unless they make it complete arcadey, which given the F&F rumour might be the case :/
  16. On a serious note, just look at the top 100, not a single person voted for it, and almost every other Infinity Engine game got loads of votes. That should give you little bit of an answer. And then, there is a search button, jist search for Dragonspear, and you'll find a lot of posts about the Expansion pack. In this forum, game/expac like this would not get unnoticed. So the Search button, would be the first thing to recommend. You'll get much better answer on the game in the forum, where are people in love with older Infinity games, than from other sites and reviews from people, who compare it to Call of Duty and stuff... EDIT: SoD was here talked to infinity and back to oblivion. After the tons of discussions about the xpac here, and the general outcome out of them, most of the people will see your post as an attempt to troll I've never played it, so I will not comment on the quality, just I can freely say, that I would never pay for it more than 5 bucks after reading all the stuff about it.
  17. If you can enjoy japanese style, I can only recommend you Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1, 2, 3 and Trails of Cold Steel. All with turn-based combat, and all available on GoG. I can also highly recommend Legend of Grimmrock 1, 2. Also Starcrawlers, though the current version has gamebreaking bug, on which the developer is working on. So as soon he releases patch 1.4, go for it, but save your money for now. Also Divinity: Original Sin 1, 2, maybe Lords of Xulima, and Dead State, which is pretty awesome zombie RPG crossed with base management.
  18. Yup actually Jim Sterling cared :D
  19. Ars Technica article on the issue... I don't know man, ever since you posted it, the issue gets kinda tossed around in my head and, at the end of the day, I kinda feel like EA is doing the right thing, just for entirely wrong reasons? I mean, you're looking at the problem from a perspective of a gamer that would play MP games to overcome challenge, and to such player, even matchmaking is totally the best experience he can get. What we're talking here tho, games by EA, Activision or similar, they're not designed for that kind of player. Imagine you're the kind of player who buys two games per year to casually play MP matches with his pals and expects them to last him as long as possible just to have some fun on the mic while calling everyone wankers. Wouldn't said game remaining engaging for a longer time be a good thing for such a player? I don't really think casual shooty bang bang players give a crap about fairness, and design of such games reflected that for the longest time (short time to kill, kill streaks etc.) - on top of it, seemingly all AAA shooters that involved a higher skill ceiling than their peers failed. It's easy to make that argument when you pick arbitrary videogames, point at them and say "Those games are modern." Those indie gems are modern games too tho (and would stand no chance of success back in the day when having a distributor was almost necessary to get any kind of market penetration... Hehehe, penetration.) and omitting modern games like creations of Arkane - which are systematically much more advanced than most older games while offering mechanical interactions which were simply not possible with older tech. Nowadays, we have a fantastic selection of games of various complexity, majority of them not challenging player to 'find out how to play them' (in other words, pressing random buttons on the keyboard, hoping it'll do something - that's not meaningful and smart gameplay, that's waste of time.) Remember, back 'then' (pre-2000), videogames were a niche hobby, so 'mainstream' titles were targeted at that niche audience. Games are now mainstream, but there are still games coming out targeting said niche audience. As I said. The Indy games are an exception, because most of them, which have won me over, are using the right balance of old school design, with modern gameplay. And I have to say I enjoy it much much more even though some of them are not very challenging difficulty wise, but they still force you to use your brain. AAA games are now completely lost to me (btw, I do not count games as Dishonored or Prey as AAA. They do not need such a big budget, and mostly give you a lot of options how to turn off the handholding stuff). FFXV was the last straw for me.
  20. They were just lucky or big enough **** to survive to that age :-P
  21. That could work, "Games people say that are great, but they are all wrong" Just look again at that Top 100. It's the epitome of that. I know you like all the games which made it there, but its clear, that you all are wrong!
  22. Well, tbh almost every game I have ever played meets your criteria :D
  23. Well tbh, hard to do any worst games list. If you know the game is ****, youbwill not bother to get it even for free, but if you never played it, you cannot objectively put it on the list, because you know it only from hearsay. *shrugs*
  24. Wow, I remember the Bruce Lee game you put on your list. One of my first games, I have ever played. On Atari 800XL. Unfortunatelly, I was not able to finish it, because I have always died at the same spot, and I was not able to overcome it
