  1. Expecting from compabies like EA to self-regulate themselves because of customer backlash due to loot-boxes is as stupid as expecting big oil companies to regulate themselves because of backlash due to global warming. Sometimes government just has to step up and cut of the most greedy parts of corporations by law...
  2. @Hurlshot. There is big difference. Makers of TCGs have to disclose the odds of getting cards. In Magic, you always get 6 common, 3 uncommon and 1 rare card. And also the thing, you can hold your cards for few years and sell it later for nice money. So people are looking at them more like an investment than gambling. Loot boxes on other hand, no one will ever tell you what kind of stuff it contains, and also you are not able to resell. Therefore you do not get any value out of digital merchandise, if you can't resell it later. That's what makes them more of a gamble than any TCG ever released.
  3. Children have more money than you can imagine.
  4. PS4 Pro without 4K TV is imo not worth, unless you are playing fast paced action or racing games, where it is very crucial to have best FPS possible. In these games you will feel performance boost even without 4K TV.
  5. I know a guy who already has the game since he was a KS backer and now has an extra key Hmm, I have to check what is on sale on GOG. Very busy at work currently. If I find some wishlisted games on sales, I rather buy them. I do not want to waste another key, if there is a chance to spent 15EUR on sale. But if you can please, hold me the key for few more days, I would love to have it one way or another ) Thank you.
  6. Black Friday sale on GOG started. MDK for free, and Starcrawlers game for free if you spend 15USD plus. I hope I can find some deals. Starcrawlers is on my wishlist for some time \o/
  7. @marelooke. Well I know that from one of my friends who is colorblind, and was not able to play Crysis jungle levels because of this. I really do not remember which Crysis game it was specifically, but he did complained about it a lot.
  8. Well I am harsh againt NWN1. I really can't imagine any way, how this game could look good even on 24K resolution. It's just ugly at any resolution. Unless they remake whole stuff into Witcher 1 or NWN2 engine. Which I somehow doubt.
  9. Maybe one of the regional “features” of Steam.
  10. Well, the leaving house to meet your friends at their place was the biggest draw in of multiplayer. Taking Hot Seat and Local LAN multiplayer away from games, turned me into single player gamer, and coop tabletop player.
  11. Points 3 and 4 are IMO contributing to each other. I am 39, and because of the toxic onlone community, toxic abuse of "games as a service" (season passes, microtransactions, lootboxes, locked content behind paywalls) in "AAA" world, I started to prefer smaller budget games, made by real gamers over big budget games made by focus groups. And I really fell in love with a lot of these games (I count into smaller budget games not only indies, but also "true" Japanese games). FFXV was for me kick in the nuts but Tales of Berseria and Zestiria, Yakuza 0 and Kiwami, have taken care of my injuries.
  12. Tales of Berseria is the only game released in 2017, which I have played this year (not counting FFXI-ZA). So it wins easily this trophy :D I have very big backlog, so I always pick whatever hits my face first, when I open my Game Chest. But I think if I would be playing Yakuza 0 it would win me over. But I do not think, I will get to play Y0 before second half of 2018.
  13. Alternating between Mortal Kombat XL, Project CARS and Final Fantasy Type-0. MK XL is just a grind for last trophy and for last two Combat Modifiers for Two Player matches. In Project CARS, I have joined with McLaren GT3 car the World Endurance Championship, and now I have 2 hours long LeMans race in front of me. I will need to find some more time and mood for this race. To much traveling at work lately to enjoy racing at the moment. And FF Type-0. Wow, I think this game is the most bloodiest game, I have ever played. You are a "special commando" in middle of a bloody war, and it feels like you are really in middle of a conflict, unlike some casual CoD or BF games I do not like the feel of combat, in the game, but well, the backstory is good enough to overcome it's issues. And today, I have bought .hack//G.U. - Last Recode on my PS4. A bundle of 3 PS2 games and 1 new game to finish the story. Pretty good deal for 40 EUR. I should also finally finish Pillars of Eternity and Dead State in my GOG backlog, but I am using my PC lately, just for watching some sci-fi series, which I have missed before. ST: Enterprise and The Expanse Seasons 1 and 2 finished, and now closing to the end of Season 1 of ST: The Next Generation.
  14. Noooo! You gave money to EA. Blasphemy!!!
  15. Word of saying is, that EA has disabled Lootboxes in Europe. This might be response to some countries starting investigating the game as a gambling. Belgium (goes for Overwatch too): https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=https%3A%2F%2Fnieuws.vtm.be%2Fbinnenland%2Fonderzoek-naar-nieuw-star-wars-spel&edit-text=&act=url Netherlands: http://www.clockworkstorybook.net/games/dutch-authorities-investigating-loot-boxes/
  16. Looks like the new SW game is not only Gamblefront, but also Buggyfront as well. NSFW gameplay )
  17. 300$+ glasses just to play the game, where publisher does not care about colorblind customers? Nah, if I Were colorblind person, I would rather buy 6 games with colorblind mode instead to support the developer who cares...
  18. It has a lot to do with how much money one makes... If you are superrich but to greedy, to spend few nickles on proper customer support, you do not deserve my money. Every single digital marketplace except Valve and uPlay, know, that good customer support is a base for satisfied customer. Valve just abuses their dominant position on marketplace, and no number of trading cards can make up for one of the most terrible customer supports and the number of shovelware you have to root through to find what you want.
  19. I do not care about achievements in a pile of trash. I care about achievements in a place, where people care about the image of the place, and don’t throw garbage in my face. Just check my signature...
  20. Unfortunatelly Crysis was very unfriendly to colorblind people :-/
  21. Quality Control is not trivial matter. Valve makes ****loads of money, but they couldn’t be arsed to hire few people to make som QC. If a brick store has “bums” all over place, who disturb your contentment from shopping, you just go to the different store, where they take care more about having it all tidy. GOG makes maybe 1/1000 of the Valve’s money, and they still have employed people to curate their catalogue, so no ****ware get’s into their catalogue. I do not get a flying **** about achievements, trading cards and whatever other stuff some shop offers, if I have to spent hours searching through the garbage to find what I want, I rather go to some smaller shop, with more limited inventory, where I know, that I can find what I want in 5 minutes...
  22. I vote for Yakuza Zero, and Yakuza Kiwami purchase on the same day :-P
  23. "I've been working on Free-To-Play games for years and lootboxes are pretty crucial to that business model working."Load of bull. League of Legends made F2P work and popularized it and they didn't add lootboxes until a year ago - and even then the boxes are mainly earned through playing the game and while buying them is an option, the devs themselves discouraged it. Buying is useful if you lack either boxes or the keys needed to open them and don't want to wait for one or the other, but if you want something specific, buying it normally is the sensible choice. Sure, not everything will be as popular as League, but that doesn't make lootboxes necessary. Didn't those things become the rage suddenly after Overwatch? I don't remember them being a thing before. GW2 had black lion chests, but those weren't the main attraction for the real money store either. According to one article, which I am unable to find out, there was before Overwatch in 7 years about 17 "AAA" games with some sort of lootboxes. After Overwatch in about a year, there is already 22 "AAA" games with lootboxes. The culprit of this **** is pretty well visible.
  24. That's 27 weeks or 51% of your year playing non-stop with no breaks. Which means it is economically more prudent just to shill out the $2100 USD. This is how they get you. The backlash was more than deserved. Well with my luck, I would have to fork out probably about 6300 EUR to unlock all the content. Well, compared to this ****, the For Honor 700EUR to unlock all the stuff, sounds like ****ing awesome deal...
