What are you Playing Now? - Back to the Grind
Mamoulian War replied to majestic's topic in Computer and Console
Thank you for the advice, I have already seen it, but did not knew it was your guide The issue is, that I wanted to attempt pacifist run, right out of the bag, without the knowledge of these critical path, and didn’t knew I would get stuck so soon, because I thought, I will be able to talk out of everything, like in most of the different games And the battle simulator proved me wrong right at the start of the game. I do not want to restart the game, I never do this when I play my first playthrough, out of stubbornness to see how far I can get with suboptimal build. But I ma pretty sure my build is not trash this time, I just have not expected, that you will have to invest heavily into combat skills, if you want to go non-lethal way so it looks like, I have to find a way, how to skip the battle training altogether. Is that even possible? -

Sigh, I am stuck at battle simulator. I would like to attempt a pacifist run, but I am unable to get over the battle simulator without killing the "images". Anyone has an advice how that can be done? Or to skip? -

I have today one day off at work, so just before my lunch, I have started to play Encased, which I have bought yesterday on sale on GOG. Got through the character creation and traveled by the lift It looks like it will be pretty text heavy game. For now, I have a guy with max Charisma and very high Psyche and Intellect and I am member of the Silver Wing. But I have a very big urge to restart the game with the Woodpecker pregen, which has 2 Intellect, despite being the member of the white wing -

Wow. I would expect something like that from Ubisoft. Not from Capcom... -

Not pictures, but if you want to have some laughs at my clumsiness, I have finally uploaded all of my successful attempts in Dark Souls Remastered to youtube

I think, I might drop few words about my experience with the Obsidian games, now that this "pandora's box" has been open KOTOR2: Awesome sequel to awesome game. I have mostly enjoyed it and tried to go the most "lighty" way possible. Unfortunately, at some point, I have completely lost myself in Pazzaak, and completely lost track of the story, so I have never finished this game up until the end, and up to this day, I am trying to avoid any spoilers on this board. Unfortunately sometimes with no success NWN2: Again awesome sequel to awesome game. I loved the game even more, than KOTOR2, and thankfully, without crack-like minigame, I was able to finish it . Twice. Once with Vanilla updates only, and once with both Expansion installed to try out some interesting Prestige Class gameplay. Of course, I have also played the expansions. MotB was very interesting and I loved where the story went. Unfortunately, my high level builds have been not optimal, so I struggled a lot with enemy immunities, which was the primary cause, why I have never finished it. SoZ on the other hand, was everything, what I wanted from 3.5E game, and breezed through it up until final dungeon in no time. For me, this is the best DnD game ever released, despite some of the flaws it had. Lastly Mysteries of Westgate, I know it was Ossian, but it would be shame to miss out on golden opportunity to complain again , how due to the stupid DRM decision Atari killed off not only all interest in this expansion, but also all chances to see more NWN2 expansions Alpha Protocol: My oh my. I have never thought, that I would be able to love a modern era RPG, and even in first person. IMHO, this game has shown, how it should be done. Unfortunately, very few studios have taken example out of it, which is sad Fallout NV: Not played it yet, due to being a long time Steam exclusive. Of course I already own it on GOG, but yeah... my backlog Dungeon Siege III: Same as above. With the difference, that I still do not own it, as it is not fully my cup of tea, but I promise, that if my backlog shrinks a little bit, I will definitely play it South Park TSoT: I want to play it, ... a lot. But no deal, until Ubi put's it DRM free on GOG. PoE1: Kickstarted it, played it a little bit, ended up under the Gallows Tree, and then waited until the final patch was released, started it over and finished the game with both expansions "in one breath". It was worth every single penny, I put into the Collector's Edition. The only downside were the backer NPC dialogues, which also stopped my playthrough the first time, as my OCD has taken control over me, and I just had to click on any dialogue Skyforge: Not my cup of tea. Pathfinder Adventures: I loved this one. It was my goto game during my business trips. I spent probably more hours on it, than on PoE1 and NWN2 combined. Unfortunately, it looked like it was not commercially successful project, as the game stopped being developed, despite Paizo releasing new tabletop adventures, which were never added to the iOS game Armored Warfare: Not my cup of tea. Tyranny: Not played it yet, as it took some time, before it was released by Paradox on GOG. I grabbed Gold Edition already, but as with Fallout, my backlog hurts PoE2: "Kickstarted" it, as soon as Paypal option have been opened. Got Collector's Edition and all DLCs as well. But I have decided as before to wait for the final patch to play it, and after that, whenever I pick a new game to play from my backlog, I pick something different, as Pirates are not my cup of tea, which makes it always a little bit lower priority than the other competitors. And yes, I know, it is a brilliant game, that's why I have the Collector's Edition Just be a little bit more patient, kay? The Outer Worlds: I always knew, I would love this game, but I wanted to wait for complete edition before buying it. Shortly, after it was released, before I was able to push the BUY button, I have received by lucky coincidence a Steam gift key, but with my Steam "hatred" I think, it would be just a waste of a useful code to activate it there, so I am humbly waiting for a person, who would be willing to barter it for a GOG key. Grounded and Pentiment: Unfortunately no GOG release yet, so I am playing a game of patience. I do not know if Grounded would be my cup of tea, but seeing some info about Pentiment, I already know, that I would enjoy it. So pretty please, with a cherry on top, dear good Microsoft and Obsidian guys, make GOG release happen. You would make one Slovak guy happy

I have been lucky and received a code for copy of Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition. Unfortunately for the Steam. That's why I have not redeemed it yet, and would like to ask, if there might be any person here, who still did not play this game, nor owns it yet, but is thinking about purchasing it, now or in the future, which would be willing to barter my Steam gift key for a GOG gift key. The game is currently 60% off at GOG. https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_outer_worlds_spacers_choice_edition Feel free to PM me. Thank you for consideration

Indeed, I buy my games mainly on GOG, and I never anticipated something like this to see there. I do backups of every game I purchase, due to the preservation concerns. And I have never expected something like this. But now, that it is here, I am 100% sure, that there might be some games in my catalogue, which I would not mind playing with higher streaming latency when staying at the hotel during my business trip. Well of course only if the service can be run in a browser, as I would not be allowed to install any client inside my work laptop.

If you own a game on GOG, you will be able to play it on streaming service Luna (subject to availability of said game on that service) for no additional costs. I think Nvidia offered something like this with Steam few years ago, but then cancelled it. So for some people, it might be interesting addition to their services. https://www.gog.com/en/news/bmore_ways_to_play_your_gog_games_were_teaming_up_with_luna_cloud_streaming_serviceb

A follow up of above mentioned “new road” for Warner Bros… https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2024/03/devs-left-with-tough-choices-as-warner-bros-ends-all-adult-swim-games-downloads/ -
First of all, trying to lecture me about what is good or not for my country, and what might happen or not, with minuscule knowledge of our political history since 1993, is as silly as me trying to lecture you about how should your country develop your current ties with China and Australia, or as silly as your remarks in 2022, how Russia would never invade Ukraine, but sure I’ll bite this time You are forgetting few things, Europe has done absolutely nothing, when green men went into Donbass and Crimea. Fico is a **** who actively attacks western allies, and every western leader knows how big of a **** and coward he is. And Putin with Orban knows that very good as well. So if we “wisely” would leave NATO, and he started to beg for help after being invaded, there is a pretty big chance, that they would tell him in a most polite way to **** Off. Also, the Slovak National Party leaders, are actively sucking on Orban’s ****. Considering corrupt and how a big of a coward is their chairman (he was hiding from police, after he crushed one traffic light during a night ride, and is still avoiding responsibility for this), they would sell the south of the country without a second thought. And even if every single person in my country would want tomleave NATO, it still does not mean, that it is not the most stupid idea under the sun, given the current circumstances, as it is as clear as a diamond, that if Hungary would send green men to Slovakia during ongoing Russian invasion, no one would give a priority to go help and waste limited resources on a country, which show time and time again, that it’s leaders do not want to be a part of Europe, over continuous help to Ukraine. It is pretty much given, that in such scenario EU would decide to first finish up Russia in Ukraine, and only after then, they would deal with Hungary from position of power. Oh and BTW, I am half Slovak, half Hungarian

It looks like there might be some shakedown in the AAA going on currently. WB is discussing going Free to Play and mobil only and leaving console market after enormous flop of Suicide Squad. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/warner-bros-discusses-volatile-aaa-console-games-will-lean-into-free-to-play-and-mobile/1100-6521597/ -
Heh, we do not have foreign policy now. We are de jure still NATO and EU member, but we are now de facto a puppet state of Russia. Probably on the same level as Belarus. The funny thing is, that Muscovites are considering our leaders as coward collaborators as well. Oh and Hungary "has" same territorial claims on Slovakia, as Russia "has" on Ukraine. And guess who has upper hand in Kremlin at the moment If any of these idiots will at some point decide to populistically make a referendum about leaving NATO, which will most likely be successful, we will be eaten by Hungary in matter of weeks, with Muscovites acting as "peacekeepers" in a same way, as they acted in Nagorno Karabakh The whole three days of real independence will be surely worth it, wouldn't it?

Slovak Foreign Minister had a meeting with Lavrov, and our Prime Minister has boasted how important that meeting was and how important for us are the relations with Russia. Few days after that as a reaction, Italy announced, that the agreement about SAMP/T AD which they provided to us, will be terminated, and it will be transported to Ukraine ASAP. Another reaction was that Czech Republic, our closest neighbours and friends for few hundreds years will not be attending any bilateral meetings on highest state level with PM Fico anymore, as any meeting like that would put a big stain on Czech Reputation. The third reaction was, that there will be event on embassy of Netherlands in Prague, where EU ambassadors/diplomats have been invited to attend, with the exception of Slovak one. They will be talking about the situation in Slovakia... It took less than 6 months to our new government, to completely destroy all goodwill we gathered since 1993, when we became independent. Slovakia is currently idiomatically back in 1939, when we became Hitler's puppet state
