Why do people play divinity: original sin?
uuuhhii replied to mrmonocle's topic in Computer and Console
red prince and fane are actually pretty good character but in the end still not likable enough possess by random powerful demon for no reason are not a good way to start a story if the possession come from some stupid deal made with the demon the whole thing would be much more interesting -
most game doesn't have more text than 10 novel never know how much budget make audio book exactly cost but compare to even moderate budget for major game release it couldn't have been much kickstarter for pathfinder kingmaker are 900k the game include 5 hours of camping companion dialogue most player never get to trigger more than 10% and they couldn't afford a audio book for all the other text it is confusing why anyone couldn't see the necessity after hours of staring at a screen reading novel even a young reader with good eyesight will suffer but for aging rpg players that also have to deal with awful sometimes half translucent tiny font and unreasonably bad ui it is torture

never understand this obsession with saving the world and becoming a god thing so many rpg players seems to have or in the case of fnv it was to become warlord by yesman

skyrim prove random npc dying randomly if player come too close in the wild was a bad idea outer worlds bring its own frustration though like the dialogue option that will convince doctor aton not go to byzantium successes three times but doesn't even notice how the fourth time failed -
dnd 5e and pathfinder 2e are certainly much more easy to access than the old rule but within the rpg player community nostalgic voice are far too loud and persistent owlcat certainly caught the worst of it it is unlikely they can change to much more reasonable 2nd edition rule in their future pathfinder games very soon

the generic dyrwood setting was most boring part of poe other then guns and adra pillar there is nothing noticeable or interesting the choice at the end of poe was not that important either that is the long standing problem with these kind of rpgs as for the gods are made by engwithan part it was never as important as thaos obsessively insist it would be several of the gods literally encouraging or just waiting for kith to eventually find out
