  1. They are fine. Just not top tier like PoE1. Rangers tho...they are the PoE1 Rogues. And I love Rogues.
  2. This mod add +30% HP, and make all enemies scaled for 9+ levels, i.e you will never over-level 11L+ enemies. The main point to use this mod is disable bonuses which you get when you over-level enemies. Maybe with new difficulty mod Obsidian do something similar as this mod. For example all dragons has +30 Fortitude and +30 accuracy Yeah...not a benchmark.
  3. I'm wondering how much the new setting had to do with it. I mean it's a near 180 from the previous game.
  4. Well a multi Cipher is typically much stronger than a single Cipher so not sure what you mean I mean who plays a single Beguiler or Soulblade? Ascendant maybe, but even it multis really well.
  5. Because of power creep. At level 20 we're capable of summoning dragons, calling down meteor swarms on our enemies and summoning avatars of the gods. If you add new levels with all three DLCs you're going to run into problems coming up with new abilities that feel more powerful. I suspect Obsidian could come up with one more power level's worth of abilities, which is why I suspect only one of the three will see the level cap increase (probably the third). I guess they could increase the level cap by one each time which would avoid more than one power level increase, but my guess (and it's only a guess) is that we'll only see the level cap go up once. Fair pt. Maybe the inclusion of a skill modification system. Similar to Empower - one or two additional levels where you can a select an ability to increase duration, damage, etc etc. Spitballing here...looking for some sort of addition. Like writing your own grimoire:p
  6. I would argue that Dragon Age Origins is one of the most generic RPGs ever released. Takes fantasy tropism to a new level. I mean Darkspawn controlled by a Dragon, really? Without Loghain it's a legit 6/10 for me.
  7. I'm sorry, BG2 companions are forgettable? Gonna have to disagree with you there. The one you mentioned has one of the best sidequests in the game and is also the only one who can wield the best weapon in the game (besides a Paladin MC).
  8. To be honest I'd have been surprised if they introduced a higher level cap with all three DLCs. My guess is only one will have a higher level cap (probably the last one). Why would you be surprised? I'd be surprised if they didn't considering you can be maxed prior to each DLC.
  9. I have about 40 hrs with Beguiler Cyrus. I can tell you that the increased ranged is a huge bonus. Early on you may find that you have two much focus, but once you get lvl 4+ spells you'll be Leaching and Borrowing Instinct like nothing
  10. All BG2 needed was quality of life and interface changes. The mods changing gameplay, etc are for those specific tastes. I've played through both the standard and enhanced edition in the last two years and it's still the best RPG as it's both simple and complex whereas POE1 and POE2 try to be too gamey and complex with mixed results.
  11. Mage Slayer's resistance should affect both hostile and friendly spells...that's all the downside it needs. I don't understand the concept of "not using magical items". The BG2 kit hates Wizards but POE2 is more of a Mage assassin, so should be used. But as another poster said, it's tradition lol.
  12. It's a shame it doesn't have better stats considering how you have to get it.
  13. So essentially the class is gimped until it reaches max Focus and Flanked/Bloodied? I don't have experience with this specific class but seems like a whole lot to max potential. Also for a company man I'd imagine an Rogue/Soulblade or Assassin/Beguiler, but that's just me.
  14. 1. Duskfall 2. Eye of Wael 3. Min's Fortune 4. Whispers of the Endless Paths 5. Fire in the Hole Now I don't pretend that these are all the best weapons, but the ones I've enjoyed the most. I do think that #1 & 2 have got to be in the top ten at least.
  15. I love Barbarians so it saddens me they have some weak kits. I know you can nullify the Confusion on the Berserker so there's that.
