  1. Well with all subclasses you should get an automatic spell per level PLUS a unique ability. Conjurer's familiar is laughable and needs an overhaul. Also Enchanting is actually decent but doesn't it completely lose spells at high level?
  2. What also makes Rogues very strong as a multi is their selection of versatile abilities. You can cherry-pick and still create a strong char. MC, Mirke, and Eder all have different ability trees on my current playthrough.
  3. Best quests in the game imho.
  4. What about straight Assassin or Scout? I mean Ranger is begggging to be multi'd with Rogue. Or you could be a variant of the Swashbuckler. Don't worry about Sneak Attack. It's super easy to afflict in this game. Plus you get Deathblows later for insane damage.
  5. Well you could spec more as a Fighter, because as you said, Druid doesn't add much martial value. The more I think of a Druid Fighter the more I miss my sweet Jaheria.
  6. The Stiletto is also faster with more penetration iirc. Plus it has a DoT to combine with Deep Wounds and it's own upgraded Shadowing Beyond. I like Ball and Chain just don't see it as primarily a Rogue weapon. Will try it out tho.
  7. They aren't overpowered but their multi ability is top tier, maybe even #1, as their passives allow you to focus on your other tree.
  8. Prob the siphoning of thousands of souls to and or from adra to create this brings. But as for their actual forms and location I'm still confused haha. If they exist everywhere like Gods how are they not Gods then?
  9. Instead of meeting Arkemyr at the scrying pool, he waits in his study and then tells you to meet. Bravo Obsidian.
  10. Not really. Half the time Irenicus appeared it was really just Bhaal in your dreams. I think Thaos and Irenicus encounter the party the same amount of times actually. Replaying Pillars recently, the lost art of videogame villains really stood out to me. You only actually fight Thaos once (except sorta in Brackenbury, which also the only place you talk to him at all), the Leaden Key aren't remotely threatening for you ever in the game, you only get one real interaction with him until the endgame, he doesn't really do anything much to antagonise you and he doesn't have a single named subordinate you can actually have a proxy confrontation with before the endgame. Pillars constantly makes your character assert that you need to find Thaos but there's only a vague metaphysical reason for you to do so and no real sense of progress in doing it. With Irenicus you confront him face to face in Waukeen's Promenade, you both talk to him and then actually fight him in Spellhold, the Bhaal dreams lend you some sort of constant connection to him, he has a few underlings you can crush or deal with as a proxy to give you a sense of progress in fighting him. This really is the biggest area where Pillars just falls flat in terms of pacing and narrative and I think with very little effort could have been greatly improved. I mean, Thaos should be a much more interesting villain than Sarevok, Poquelin etc but chasing Sarevok is much more compelling than chasing Thaos in my view. Boom
  11. Two forbidden schools are still too much, and some subclasses get crushed like Conjurer.
  12. Answered my question thanks. I do agree Constant Recovery may not be necessary. Same with 0 swap time and 4 arms sets, so really the BlackJacket is a decent trade off. I played one with Streetfighter and it was effective, but it was my first playthrough.
  13. Mindblades imho is a required Cipher spell. It's SUPER fast, can pretty much be spammed, and scales very well. Sometimes it looks like popcorn
  14. Yeah you can select both abilities as a regular Fighter so that's all the BJ is saving you, at the expense of Constant Recovery. In other words, any Fighter can select those abilities.
  15. Theoretically doesn't the Black Jacket save you two skill pts (quick switch and extra weapon slot) at the expense of constant recovery? Since a fighter can actually pick the subclass bonuses.
  16. Verde, level 17 atm: Key gear: Whitewitch Mask Effigy Husk Rust's Poignard Azure Blade Eye of Wael A Whale of a Wand (looking for optimization here) - Bracers that Shock on crit Cloak of Greater Deflection Heads/Tails Necklace Captain's Belt Boots of Speed Ring of Overseeing Ring of Protection Concelhaut (does he ever shut up?! lol) What do ya'll think of the stat spread? Spells are all Deception as you would imagine, with some Shred like Mind Blades. (Note: that I always have party members with high Bluff, Diplomacy, and Insight) Any comments/suggestions/discussion appreciated!
  17. So I found it - Rust's Poignard. Fun to get and damn, what a great weapon. Granted there are some other great swords and sabers (like Min's Fortune) but I gotta give props to this weapon.
  18. The whole purpose of rolling a Priest (besides RP) are their high level spells.
  19. Thaos was a decent villian but you lost sight of him for a longgggg time. BG2 did a good job of showing Irenicus.
