  1. Yes that certainly is a common problem isn't it
  2. Erm... extremely high. I have a working memory after all. A better question would be "what is the likelihood you still play Deadfire in five years?" The answer to that largely depends on how its final version ends up. I will say that BG2 used to be a game that I'd replay every year or so but, since PoE's release, I've had very little desire to do so. I simply prefer playing PoE. That doesn't stop BG2 being one of my favourite games, but I don't feel the need to replay it any more. I don't think my mind will ever take me back to Deadfire unless something is somehow related. It's a REALLY fun game to play but almost entirely forgettable imho.
  3. What is the likelihood you remember Deadfire even 5 years from now? I still remember great moments in BG2.
  4. Yeah Gilded can essentially take the place of Iron Skin. Also from a RP perspective, Goldpact and Bleak Walkers are true mercenaries. I can't get myself to play one as the MC but love making them custom.
  5. BG to BG2? That's an opinion I don't see often. You must liking fighting a wolf over and over at lvl 1 Jk 1. BG2 2. Dark Souls 3. Xenogears
  6. Looks cool but Deep Silver seriously needs to redeem themselves. They completely f-ed Sacred.
  7. Reading is a major part of cRPGs. And being successful in life. Learn to enjoy it.
  8. Wow, this one takes the cake lol. I believe the entire map reset after I left Splintered Reef...the locations are still there but it's covered in fog and the minor locations are back. What gives?
  9. Yeah Trickster is like an Illusionist/Rogue. Let's hope Obsidian let's them be My Trickster/Beguiler can handle about anything.
  10. Hmm good question re: Assassinate, honestly not sure! I don't think the Assassin penalty is that bad tho. It just means you need to be more mindful - not entirely sure how it works from ranged. I'm prob a broken record but I think Trickster got buffed immensely so much so it renders vanilla Rogue undiserable. Anyway, I think you can make Assassin work.
  11. Deadfire tweaks mod fixes up the ranger tree a bit and adds their modals from the first game. That’s what I’m using at least. Now I can ignore the pet and still feel satisfied until I am not. The Ranger should have the Wilder perk from the Barb Tree.
  12. I mean any Wizard that uses Empowered Meteor Storm. That spell is hilariously powerful.
  13. The main reason to run Streetfighter is for the -50% Recovery Speed which is easily activated by using the Blunderbuss modal. Whether you dual wield or not is really up to preference. I personally think dual wielding eventually wins out in damage, but one-handed can be good early game when accuracy is an issue. But the model hurts your Perception and Accuracy correct?
  14. Trickster is more a ranged class than Assassin, no? Or do you plan on assassinating at close range? I guess it makes more sense from a RP perspective. I wish I could offer Assassin advice. Looking forward to seeing progress.
  15. Hmm good ideas, wondering how I can make it work from a RP perspective.
  16. Since reaching 20, nothing can stand up to Empowered Greater Maelstorms...I was gibbing Eotans.
  17. Look up the Mask of the Grotto Deep - something you don't want to miss out on a poison build.
