The wizard of PoE 1 didn't even feel like a real wizard. If anything, they really were more of a battlemage because what I did to get through PotD was using Dex -> Spear -> The super buff that silence your wizard and it works against every possible content. I think people that feel wizards are gutted are just used to playing their wizard like that with a few CC in some fights from PoE 1 until they unlock all of those. I think Wall of Color was the only CC spell I ever bother to use just to trivialize boss fifhts. In PoE 2, The conjuration type got gutted and I agree that they should get something like a +50% cast time buff. The evocation type is op. Some of the wizards players are likely still figuring out what spell to use and wasting their points when they could be grabbing talents like concentration while also saying how spells like Del speed buff is useless because it's no longer +50% action speed despite it still being an instant cast buff that give the wizard roughly 10% faster cast speed and recovery. If anything, Wizard has way too many high scaling damage spells that be toned down when they buff the weaker non-damage spells.

Replaying with Single-class Ranger on PotD. Gonna be awhile before I can reach level 13-14 where it starts to show whether going multi is better or not but so far so good. Being able to mark pray, Modal arquebus and then accurate wounding shot for easy +50 accuracy at level 5 is quite awesome though especially against mages, the only enemy type that can deal damage. +60 accuracy instakill with empowered accurate wounding shot. Right now, I have some key skill looked at being 1) The mark. Perma extra +10 acc for the whole fight is always good. 2) Twin shot because it's a +100% damage steroid. 3) Evasive Fire as it's a quick move tool (really far range) that also deal damage 4) Concussive Tranquilizer as an instant removal for Unbending trunk so the enemy don't take 20 seconds to kill 5) Furious call to use with Evasive fire as you can easily reposition behind enemy group and follow it up with line damage+prone 6) Whirling strike to follow after Furious call. It is a full attack AoE so dual wielding something that deal massive damage can easily allow you to try and go for a quick wipe. Great Maelstorm allow you to end all non-boss fight before it even begins as you can also pre-cast it. 700 giant AoE DoT field that also cause a debuff to strike an explosive thunder on whoever gets hit by the DoT? Broken. T8 is terrible though but at this point it's probably intentional to make T8 terrible as a way to balance people going for T9s.

I decided to test again and turns out it doesn't work so I will admit my mistake on that one. Now I need to figure out what was the cause of the increased accuracy and I don't think it was Xoti devotion buff. Could be the paladin aura because the bump is very small and I was walking around which resulted in the aura going on and off without me noticing. I just happen to changing weapon right at the wrong time and was overjoy to think that weapon actually matters to spell accuracy now. Thanks for the clarification but I wasn't trying to single you out for a mistake or anything, I've seen it suggested several times in several places by several people and thought maybe I was the one missing something. Sad to see I was right, actually...that accuracy boost would be nice. The magic accuracy is still busted anyway because your level go up to 20. Empower trait allow you to get +20 on them as well so most empowered spells can easily be casted at 110-130 accuracy depending on how many buffs you have. There really isn't that many enemies that can self-boost their defense to be able to dodge everything. The only worry are mages that can have high deflection but then they die to every fortitude and reflex-based spell. The multi-target type really should be mentioned more often. There are tons of enemeis with high deflection (fighter and steel sentinel). Spells like deathring and fireball ends up being really strong while the physical-based struggle to land a hit.

Intelligent weapon?

Do some quests to boost up the reputation within the gullet. Easiest one being the girl you see marching into her house right when you arrive. -

If you're talking about talking weapon, as Juodas mentioned, it's in Old City Ruins. If you're talking about weapon for casters, use anything with high upgrade as they get bonus accuracy to spell based on weapon grade. The best mage weapon is in top left island of the map with Nemnok. The quarterstaff there gives you 1 or 2 extra level to all elemental spell damage. -
I can see Ranger being a potentially fun solo class if you know how to micromanage the pet and constantly kite with roll. The problem is that single-target class is meh as AoE are guarantreed to wipe until they fix level-scaling with spell and overpen bonus. Maia quest rifle is also a multi-target hit rifle so if you can consistently get enemy in a line, that's ton of damage every shot.

Except romance can be quite endearing when done right. You don't need multiple entries, or sequels, to create meaningful romance. Some of my favorite romances come from dragon age origins. It's just here, the devs didn't have the talent to make good romance. In which case, they should have instead not opted for romance. That's why DA:O falls under 3 on the requirement to make romance work in cRPG. Romance CANNOT create a sequel because if it does, it is too expensive for little reward. The only one that did Romance sequel right is ME3 and that one avoid creating any new char. The companion list will become too large if you want long lasting romance and sequel with new chars.
-
The chance of Romance in cRPG working is very slim anyway because if the romance is possible, then they have to either 1) Increase the amount of budget for the sequel because all the romantic partner will have to be present and can't be killed without causing a rage quit. 2) Decrease the amount of possible choices and make people salty they can't sleep with the best guy 3) Start the sequel with a completely new char with different time line So yeah, it's going to suck by default because the budget demands it.

Physical damage character are actually way weaker than caster in this game because of how their damage scale. Magic scale up by level and continue to do so even more with empowered. Unless you have an exceptional or superb gear at level 5-6, you will deal roughly the same damage as the casters using spell and later, get completely overshadowed by them because you no longer have stuff like "+20% Corrode damage" enchantment on everything you use. You have to rely on few buggy/broken talent for physical damage to be really busted, like that one monk dealing infinite amount of damage as long as there's something to bounce to.

Lol, thinking about it - it would make a better premise for PoE II if Eothas indeed destroyed the wheel while you are still recovering from destruction of Caed Nua.. and your role is to find out how to fix it. But I guess that is the plot of PoE 3 Deadfire 2 PoE 3 will probably take you to the Living Land as 1) That's a new location with tons of oddities that will probably be affected by the destruction of the wheel allowing mortal to actually get to them now. 2) You sent a few npcs to the living land, especially the Vailian director/governor who will be there to shout at you. 3) From the list of potential returning npcs -Maia is done -Xoti is done. -Tehaku is done -Eder is somewhat done and anymore would really be pushing it with him. If he appears it's because he's iconic. -Aloth is still leaden key related so he can appear again. -Pallegina has a chance because she's THE Vailian char and they will probably send her to explore all the changes and see if the Vailian Republic can take advantage of it. -Serafen is traveling there so he can be there (I'm bias with this one)

Which race did you choose?

No. Very much yes.
