Summarizing so far: MC with Fighter/devoted some healing, perhaps still viable if going regular barbarian or when using more health recovery items. MC with Paladin/kindly wayfarers More healing, sounds viable. Slightly more defenses and slightly less damage than fighter/devoted. MC with Druid/Lifegiver Might be viable lategame, early-mid game the heals are not enough and/or dont stack with zerker buffs. MC with Priest No idea. Other ways to get sufficient healing: - Abraham pet - on-crit healing weapons - regen rings/belt/armor - Wear voidward to lessen raw damage taken

Do you know if the ring reduces it for sure? Because it doesn't show up on the tooltip, which lead to me disregarding it when testing a zerker. Paladins also get a passive for Int affliction resistance, which is another option if he's not already ability starved. If you go crit build then that sabre is very good, though you need to deal with the Magma Dragon to get it. DoC BP also has a heal on crit enchant. You can use Abraham for heal on kill as well. Is the heal amount fixed or percentage? I feel i could do a crit-based character zerker/rogue with WotEP cone aoe afflictions (right?) combined with sanguine greatsword? Are there any heal-on-crit options in early game?

I was gonna come in here and say devoted but I see u already tried it. If u felt that the fighter were lacking heals I'm afraid there's no other class that can generate even close to the same self healing. Perhaps I wasnt high enough level yet? I reached powerlevel 5 back then, used to run zerker/devoted with bloody links / modwyr / gryffins blade. Perhaps I should try regular barbarian to avoid the raw damage alltogether? zerker/pala sounds good too.

I've been itching to play a new character but the game does not let me start a new game. Issue: Character creation does not let me proceed past gender choice, since latest patch (do these things get tested? geez). I start a new game, blabla, enter character creation. I can choose male/female (the picture changes). I can click the "Next" button, which lights up, the picture zooms in - but it does not proceed to the next window. Extremely frustrating cause I've tried a bunch of things to fix it, incl reinstall, remove mods, fullscreen/windowed, change resolution, disable steam overlay. Attachments: Output log + specs. Much appreciated. output_log.txt DxDiag.txt

POTD solo on the first island is just a horrid experience since 1.1. Depending on your class' early game strength you may be forced into extreme amounts of cheese - which beats the purpose of doing POTD... However, if u go veteran, the rest of the game becomes too easy. The first island with it's extreme difficulty for some classes combined with the fact that you cannot go elsewhere first to get stronger makes it a single isolated f*ckup. Next patch insert a skip port maje blessing = fix. TLDR; pick POTD -> cheese/cheat/sneak your way through Port Maje content -> enjoy rest of game.

That's odd i'm just confirming its not lol. 14 int (check passed) 11 res (cannot crush it's will... check failed) Yeah, your Resolve is too low. You need to get it up to 15. You can do that with a base 5 resolve by stacking three +resolve items (if you have the berath's blessings vendor open, there are two separate +2 resolve items available in the starting town, then throw on any additional +1 resolve pet), for a total of +5 resolve from items, then you need a +5 resolve from somewhere else, one of the Watcher abilities gives a resolve inspiration and can be cast out of combat, bingo, total 15 resolve, that with 14 int will let you pick up the mace. Ah right. I thought you meant you can pick it up at 5 resolve already, my bad. I never realized that we could stack item bonuses in this game xD

Epic melee build, excellent balance of DPS and survivability (and easy to focus one way or the other). Build Name Brutal. Subclass(es) Berserker Barbarian + Devoted Fighter Sword-devoted fighter, stacking berserker + devoted bonus, + frenzy + disciplined barrage. Warrior stances add versatility, the fighter Charge attack adds mobility. Using upgraded modwyr negates the confuse from berserker's frenzy. Invest in Disciplined barrage, Blood frenzy, conquerer stance, Charge. Advise to pick up Savage Defiance and/or Vigorous Defence as well. Rest in passives for + damage + attackspd + defense in that order. Author: Me (but who knows who else did) Game version: 1.0.2. ARMOR Miscreant's leathers (more dps) or The Bloody Links (more survivability) WEAPON Modwyr + Griffin's Blade HELM Death's Maw RING Entonia's signet ring, Ring of greater regeneration BELT Undying Burden etc Difficulty: POTD Solo: Played as duo, probably solo able as well. Been an extremely rewarding playthrough. Highly unstoppable - but gets fkd by Arcane Dampener (damn OP) so beware of mages.

It's there in the Old City Ruin, top right corner of the screen. Very easy to miss. But it isn't flaming. Found it! It is in fact flaming when you find it sitting there. Its confusing because Eion says it's in the "old city" and not in the "old city ruins". Time i spend looking for it there lol.. Thanks!

So, i decided i'd hire an adventurer today for a fully optimized companion .... BUT I'm not able to level him up at all. So i bought him at level 4. I can click the level up button. Text says "Congrats, he got level 4!" but i can ONLY LEVEL HIM ONE TIME. Very confused. This a bug or what? Im tempted to just fully reroll and hire a ton of compantions at game start cause this is just fkd. EDIT: retraining him after acquiring solved part of the problem; i managed to pick skills up to level 4 but now only have 1 weapon proficiency.
