  1. Any combination works really. Tekehu isnt a very good dps though, more heal/support. Im a strong advocate of druid main cause you can control the field in so many ways
  2. 1) the passives from any race remain active during shifting 2) nature godlike increases all power levels by 1 - this means that all your abilities (including the fist passive) become slighty stronger/longer lasting/more accurate. Check out the Power level thread for more info 3) Shifting only changes your weapon and armor slots - all other accesories (incl helmet) remain the same 4) There are actually some really nice helmets around for melee builds, so i would recommend a non-godlike race. Human if you intend to tank a lot, otherwise go for hearth orlan for extra damage. But anything works really.
  3. Hi Obs, Currently you can see stuff like total damage done, number of hits, number of crits and more. However, this info is quite useless because there is no way to reset it (i.e. when i change a party member, or just a piece of gear, i have no way of knowing how it impacts damage or relates to other characters' damage). A simple "reset" button would open a plethora of options for players to actually see how their actions/choices influence damage numbers. Here's to hoping
  4. No I'm talking about the "records" tab in the character sheet. It states "total damage done" which is pointless because you don't get all companions at the same time, switch gear over time, etc. If there was a way to reset all damage done to 0, you could actually USE that sheet. As it is now it's very pointless - unless you start the game with your complete party in end game gear... I'm thinking there might be some game file where the numbers are stored, if only I could reset the numbers there... But I'm also open to any other tools or mods that help me calculate DPS.
  5. Any way to refresh the character records tab? Ive been somewhat annoyed being unable to effectively calculate dps. Tia!
  6. It's Ancient Memory. On a troubadour with high Int you can run it simultaneously with "Mercy and kindness followed where'er she walked". I'm actually unsure how efficient "Old Siec" is, anyone else got an opinion on that?
  7. What is the most important role for your paladin? We can better advise you based on that info. Probably primary healing, and tank secondary. I'm not a tactical master at PoE, so unless a character is doing something *really* stupid I let them do as they please. But I've noticed leaving the Xoti as a CPU controlled priest leaves a bit to be desired in the healing aspects. Plus I've always been a fan of healing in MMOs and DnD. In that case I'd recommend to multi with chanter (troubadour). You can stack +healing gear for a decent amount of passive healing through your paladin aura and chants. Alternatively you can multi with druid (lifegiver), which has more healing and DPS potential but less (passive) support skills. Either will work fine, druid is probably a more busy/micro and impactful one.
  8. Few options; - make use of special weapon skills (i.e. storm rune shot, as mentioned above) - multi with a class that has weapon skills (paladin FoD, rogue Ring the Bell, barbarian barbaric blow, etc) - Switch around with multiple guns to ignore reload I always feel like Amina's legacy + modal is one of the best ways. attackspeed is the only thing cipher lacks, and has lots of perception, so hunting bow modal is awesome. Combined with berserker, if you intend to multicass, I only needed 2-3 shots to get max focus.
  9. Ya basically go cipher singeclass or combo with berserker. The wiz/cypher combo works as well, but to a lesser extent. If you go that route, try to focus the wizard abilities on buffspells (enchanting).
  10. Hi, So I'm at the stage where I have to go to the docks to be at the ship in time, but Eders conversation isn't triggering. I've seriously been running around for hours, first all over queen's berth and later all other pieces of neka before googling and seeing that eder should stop and tell me we missed it. Any way to force eder's dialogue? Console?
  11. The evoker will be very micro intensive. Do agree that a chanter will bring a lot of extras to this comp. Youll need a cipher only for megabosses. Shouldnt be necesarry otherwise (but still very useful).
  12. Its really simple frenzy + devoted is already +4 pen at level 1. later on the accuracy from fighter and the attackspeed from barb have excellent synergy. Relevant fighter skills: Disciplined barrage > disciplined strikes Fighter stances > conquerer stance Confident aim Weapon specialization Armored Grace Weapon mastery Relevant barbarian skills: Frenzy > blood frenzy OR spirit frenzy > Blood storm OR Spirit tornado barbaric blow > barbaric smash bloody slaughter bloodlust brute force blood thirst Lion's sprint General skills: two-weapon specialization uncanny luck improved critical Optionals: refreshing defense / unbending trunk / stalwart defiance (provide extra defense - usually go for refreshing defense so i last longer for healer to wake up) Clear out (can be used with morning star modal for aoe fortitude debuff -> synergy with brute force) blood frenzy vs spirit frenzy: stagger effect = -5 might = -10 fort = synergy with brute force. However, stagger effect = disenage -> sucks if using a persistent distraction tank and/or "per engagement" equipment. Devil of Caroc breastplate (mechanical mind upgrade) Thundercrack pistol + scordeo's tropy rest optional - focus on accuracy, critchance
  13. You do realize that you can control what all the characters in your party do, right? I think that he's just saying is that an NPC character won't be custom tailored (attribute wise) for your purposes, while, OTOH, being a main Priest isn't as appealing as other classes. I have to admit: while I like a single class Priests in my party it wouldn't be my fist pick as player character as well. No Enoch is right- it's just my personal style to not control npc's, and the AI just isn't as efficient. At the same time, I don't want to play a main charcacter who doesn't get to do more than buffing for half the fights. If you like controlling more than 1 char i can see a priest being worth it - in the right party (I always tend to make mc combinations who cover all relevant selfbuffs lol).
  14. berserker/devoted is a really great micro-free ranged dps, if u can spare the DoC armor. High pen, high accuracy, high attackspeed, and defensive buffs if needed. Becomes strong very early as well. Nearly always have one with pistols -> thundercrack pistol stun on crit effect in combination with barbaric blow is my magekiller. For debuffs go cipher/x or singleclass for (mega)bosses.
  15. Nope. Go wizard. Salvation of time and bdd are great, but i rather have another dps. I've tried priest multiple times and always found that other classes do their job better. Lots of buffing = less fun to play as main. Sadly also annoying as npc because it will do its job far less optimal than you can. I also discover everytime that most buffs are already available in most of my other mc combos, making half the skills redundant. I know lots of ppl like priests - it depends a lot on what you want out of your main.
  16. Love the sorcerer. @anti poison posters: what gear do you recommend instead of? I believe the setup is best available. @op imo: drop a priest sub for barbarian.
