  1. Would Chanter be all that optimal as a ranged DPS? Also, as a ranged character, a lot of your buffs won't reach the front-line allies, and a lot of your debuffs/nukes won't reach front-line enemies either. Well the idea was to have this chanter in the backline with the other 2 dps, purely for damage chants. Then he can take the energized selfbuff invocation, teambuff invocation and the paralyzed one (has big range). But - open to suggestions. The selfbuff is pretty nice to combine with either an accuracy or attackspeed subclass - it wont be top level dps but combined with the buffs he offers he will bring a lot to this team.
  2. Looking for 2-3 optimized ranged dps for my Potd+mods run. Tank: holyslayer (uses pers. distraction) Healer: Theurge Leaning towards a cipher/x and a chanter/x. Looking for suggestions!
  3. Great class! Go mc with regular barbarian for combo with miscr leather. Borrowed instinct > mindblades > disintegrate > horrors > brilliant buff > amp wave
  4. Man I still cannot play a ranger for the sole fact that the pet is effing horrible to control. I do count the pausing required to decrease my DPS
  5. Theoretically i think the answer would be "okay". It's not ideal but there are some synergies. Gear plays a major role in tanking so any class can be an okay tank. This combination will not be good or excellent though. Get titulious palm asap and upgrade it with the wounds>deflection enchant.
  6. 3. Best ranged DPS: SC Wizard Hellwalker/streetfighter; blunderbuss modal, can also abuse mortification of the soul to get the blooded bonus (extra nice on human; high risk high reward). Berserker/ascendent; build for mindblades is especially powerful on encounters with a large number of enemies. Once he get's 1 killing blow it becomes a machinegun. Note that mindblades works with Brute Force and also triggers blood frenzy DoT.
  7. Great thread! Imo: 1. Best tanks: Arcane knight: best obtainable defenses, available debuffs, selfhealing Swashbuckler: good tank 'n' debuff combined with excellent selfhealing Holy Slayer: Another variant of swash, with more AR and more support blended in. 4. Best support: Theurge: chanter offers flexibility to boost offense or defense/healing, while lifegiver is best healer with some debuff and cc Liberator: best passive healing, stack +healing done gear on him.
  8. All right; going Herald then! As for MC, my MC will always be a DPS melee - of course, with some survivability. So it has to be Holy Slayer or Crusader or the like Nono I meant the support char should be Trouba/Livegiver Ah, ok - so you prefer Liberator over the Herald then Lol we are totally miscommunicating. Liberator vs herald vs templar: Herald, because chanter is king. But in my opinion best general supportclass: Theurge (troubadour/lifegiver). lifegiver > paladin because better heals, more cc.

  10. Chanter. Gives u flexibility between dps boost chant or full healing. Also includes great debuffs or summons. I still recommend mc with lifegiver though ^^
  11. weaponslot1: The Red Hand. Build up the damage buff. Weaponslot2: Scordeo's trophy + Thundercrack pistol.
  12. It's exactly the thing that has withheld me from trying it sooner. I really enjoy getting more skills I might just use this one and give myself an extra level upon start using the unity console. The description was a tad unclear to me, it increases enemy penetration levels?
  13. I'm looking for a challenge for a 5-man group. What mods do you guys use?
  14. The problem is the -25% healing you get from the first wound, makes it that much harder to keep my tank up. Im thinking this boils down to 20-30 adra potions in tanks inventory and needing to nuke Belly down in the time that it gives me. And the deflection/AR gives me a headache in itself lol @.@
  15. I had 10 on my tank lol he went through em real fast. Anyone know for how long Belly will spam the wounds? If its infinite i'm gonna cheese him (after days of figuring out a working non-cheese tactic lol).
  16. Basic spread = max per and might, dump resolve. Rest as follows: Want more tanky? Take Con. Want more use of blooded (barbarian) and human bonus? Take Con. Caster/buffer? Take Int. DPS? Take Dex.
  17. I just built a paladin/chanter with passive healing, stacked up on +healing done gear. Only using healing chants as well. Now even my squishies are immortal lol. So to answer OP: its optional but very convenient. Either go for lazy passive healing like palachanter or make a multipurpose druid. Priest are overrated :D
  18. Jesus I finally got to the 75% point (cleared all the burrows, left Belrange with ~50 stacks) and now he just spams wounds on my tank... lamest sht ever. /rant so how to deal with wounds? yes i brought potions but i get a wound every 10 seconds
  19. Sounds like bug. Can you elaborate? Does it turn up in the enchanting window at all?
  20. Can someone explain to me what avenging storm does in the nuclear bomb?
